Thanks for keeping it real and showing us the rocks that broke your pickaxe! We all experience these kinds of things, but rarely see the pros dealing with them.
Another top quality video! Gardening is the new rock n roll! Well there was some hard rock in this episode anyway ... I nearly spilt my tea when the pickaxe broke!
I love my Hellebores. They are in the shade and doing beautifully. I had no idea there were varieties for sun and varieties for shade. I guess I got lucky.
Someone on here last year gave me some tips on helping my camellia, I changed the soil up, gave it some sulphur chips and changed position, well it didn't die but nothing happened either for months, I left it alone and yesterday I had a potter in the garden and flipping heck it's got flower buds on it!! After years of doing nothing and no growth. Want to say a massive thank you for the community on here as well as John, he's the reason we are all here and I might just get my green thumb badge too 😊 half the time I'm on here saying thank you especially to John as I really do have the right plants for my garden now and I'm getting ambitious lol
"I only try to break one tool per week!" My hubby (who has broken tines off every fork we have!!) says he glad he has the same skill set as the professional gardeners. Love your realistic warts and all videos, John, keep 'em coming.
ahhhahahah oh how I cackled when the handle snapped lol. Aww live TV eh ;D Thanks for sharing and top marks to the camera operator for keeping it together, a true professional.
Thank you John and David, I think if teacher's used humour in schools when teaching the kids would love it and learn more, like me watching you 😂 your garden is beautiful. 🏴
We just love John Lord we love his passion his personality and the way David follows on camera there just wonderful. We think Gardeners World is boring after John .The way he knows all the plants and names just can’t get enough of John Lord we’re so sad when he comes to the end of his videos.Well we will so enjoy this for our Mondays viewing.GodBless John Lord till next time.☘️☘️☘️☘️🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🌍🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝
Caught off gaurd and laughed a bit when your handle broke. I cracked a handle and bent a shovel head in the fall. Powering through clay and hit a large rock. Jaring to the body also i may say.
After breaking two wooden shovel handles digging up a Ginkgo and a Crape Myrtle, I now own a steel handled shovel. Heavy bugger, but it gets the job done. No splinters either, like fiberglass. . . Eventually anyway.
A fine start to the new season! And if you're only breaking one tool a week, you're not trying hard enough.
I love your videos! They feel like real life gardening and always inspire me. Thanks for all you do!!

I"ve found Euphorbia 'Miner's Merlow' to be the BEST of the dark leaved Euphorbias. I am very impressed with your huge Crinodendrum. Hurry up spring!
I need to play catch up on your videos John,I will today..& thanks for all you do 💚
Thank you John and David, I think if teacher's used humour in schools when teaching the kids would love it and learn more, like me watching you 😂 your garden is beautiful. 🏴

The hands on relocation of the chestnut- very helpful indeed.
Just love to see you work on the garden!
Would you show us the nursery and the work done in it?
Tanks very much.
Such an informative video about the plant names on the screen. 🎉thank you
More than one vino, John, you need it after all that exertion!
Can’t wait to see this when you are finished!
Worth waiting for this video John……I think, when you’ve sorted the rocky area, the new plants will look superb, esp the hellebores.
Nice!
How does he remember all these different plant names and their requirements?

I’d be interested to know what John uses to keep weeds out of the gravel paths. I don’t like using it but I’m forced to Glysophate.
John Lord Happy 🌼

Mound it up and plant on top. Just a suggestion of course.
These videos go way too fast.
