im not surprised by Rus behaviour. She has become less personable and fun compared to earlier seasons. Ru has a tendency of letting her ass hang out , in particular the whole insensitivity with the whole trans drama that recently surfaced.

So many Queens say the same thing about Ru & don't think any of them are lying. They barely see her during filming and it's pretty much just that -- it's not Rupaul's Best Friends Race. Also, don't know if it's true or not but, she barely even learns their names until half way through the season.

I think all this T is coming right after the contract expires. They are legaly obliged to keep their mouths shut. But, still, RuPaul is the main character in this game. Have decency at least say "thanks" to a child who has opened its soul to you and is clearly showing appreciation for the opportunity. RuPaul has what he has due to the queens competing on the show, due to queens creating drama and reality TV. Many have said, when you hear RuPaul you expect this Glamazonian drag queen, but in real life Steve Urquell shows up. Does anyone remember the season 7 challenge in which Mrs. Kasha Davis, Ginger Minj and Kennedy shaded the whole "brand" and the DragU show? RuPauls reaction on their ideas was real...

It's an archive of films by a man named Nelson Sullivan who was prominent in New York and Atlanta gay/party culture in the 80s and early 90s. There are many films of ru there. It will blow your mind who he was and what he came from. I feel like I can relate to that rupaul but certainly not the rupaul he is today.

I have been rewatching seasons back, especially the reunions and something had happened to RuPaul's sense of humor and whimsy as the show has gone on. It is actually the magic that is missing from recent seasons I think.

Yes, we all know ru is fake af and problematic, plenty of queens have said so. The thing that’s really throwing people here is how cold and heartless this specific incident is. It makes his entire message ring hollow. I’m still gonna watch the show because it’s bigger than rupaul, but this has really pushed me to realize I don’t like or respect him as a person.

I think that sounds very much like the RuPaul I listen to on his podcast with Michelle. He often talks about all these great vacations he goes on and fabulous celebrity parties he goes to, and I often wonder why Michelle seems to be left out of everything. She didn’t even get an invite to his wedding ffs.

I think the first one can also be true if Ru doesn't care about people on a personal level at all. On a professional level, I think they do give people feedback that makes them better at their job.
But that doesn't mean they can't ever be wrong about their advice.
I just don't think he'd intentionally make someone look worse than they are for ratings (I don't refer to the villain cut which happens, but giving people bad advice intentionally)
