Great find Stu! There is no question this Jag pretty rotten but it still has a lot going for it. An earlyish series 2 OTS(to answer your question those are the later hub nuts, which are correct for it), it's reasonably complete which is good and most bits are available for this in the UK including a complete new shell if your pockets are deep enough. I think it is still worth restoring if only because they are quite rare. The one I'm working on at the moment is only in slightly better condition. Cheers!
i remember when you was on a couple thousand subs and you was contemplating packing the channel up. Now look where you're Mr Stokze, round the corner from 50k and growing fast. Glad to be apart of your journey mate, keep doing what you do!
Stu you are the man the dedication you put into this channel is something else and to think a few months ago you was willing to give it all up,you have come back bigger stronger and better you channel continues to grow from strength to strength you have always been my favorite TH-camr since I first discovered your channel some 3 years ago. Keep on doing what you do brother the weekens wouldn't be the same without you. Another great video bro
Truly heartbreaking brother 😢 years ago a coworker owned a Jaguar and it was so saweeeeet! The amount of decay and nature reclaim over time is so sad ... Thank you for preserving this on video for years to come 🙏
What a find Stu, The E type is up there such an iconic car, Love how you have dedicated the whole video concentrating on the E type 👍 looking forward to Sundays video to👍
If the site is being cleared, you can imagine that it will all be scrapped including the E type. without knowing the jag would still sell for good money at auction. a truly genuine barn find. great vid
Trust me, it won't get scrapped 😉 Even the MGB will get broken for parts and they are anything but rare (25,000 licenced UK) Even E-types are not rare (6000+ licenced UK) Obviously the rarest models will be worth more
Best youtuber out there doing car videos your passion really shows through and what an episode this one is like you said heartbreaking can't wait for tomorrow's episode 😊
Go back a few months and you was down with the way the channel was going then you bounce back with some awesome vlogs. This being one of those awesome vlogs and nodoudt tomorrows will also be awesome. Well done mate 👍👍
What a find! It's a later series 2 you can tell because they put the rear lights below the bumper instead of above and removed the front light lenses, which, in my opinion, made far less attractive. Can't wait to see the mk 2 as well. Can you try and find out what's happening to them so we can all sleep at night? 😅
That is so sad to see that like that 😢 think she is to far gone to save such a shame, the distance you go stu for your videos and for us is appreciated mate 👊🏼 great video
Great find stu m8 awesome although rotting away sad heart breaking ......would love to see more if only can get in the workshop too ...great find though 👍
Wow imagine that when it was brand new someone must’ve been over the moon with it and now look at it ! I wish it could show us all its been through and its first owners etc awesome find mate 👍🏼 looking forward to seeing the others and wondering if there was any classic fords 😎👍🏼
What a find ! - The 4hr 37min drive was definitely worth it to find this e-type Jag. Can’t believe the state these cars are in - really heartbreaking. Living near the sea is one thing but these cars look like they’ve been under water judging by all the rust. Would like to think some of them could be saved but sadly they’ve probably gone too far. Great video 👍👍
Evening Stu Anyone that owns cars like that & let's them get to that state does not deserve to own them or work on any vehicle - it is 1000% a crying 😢 shame to see all the cars in that small yard in the state there in - lookin forward to pt 2 in morning - Great finds as always
im a jag luvr myself stokze after seeing this video i went outside and hugged mine 😁 thanks 4 the share good stuff as always stay safe stay un - limited 😎✌
Stuart these scenes can only become art really. Have you thought about taking carefully considered photographs of your finds and selling them as an additional avenue of income for you’re business? I appreciate what you do and I think by capturing these symbolic and emotionally thought evoking images is more of a positive aspect of their unfortunate demise and decay. And thus much better than focusing solely on their possible untimely or unappreciated end which I’m sure was not the intention of their long departed owner. 👍👍👍
its a series 2 stue restored worth 70 grand cost to restore over 100 grand very sad to see i sold a serie 1 fhc 1962 for 15 hundred quid in 79 im now restoring two series 3 and a 66 series 1 coupe i recently bought a scrap series 3 for parts for 9 grand great video stue keep up the good work m8
That's a Series 2 Roadster. UK RHD.....very rare as only 775 models remained in the UK. Most went to the US. They were made between 1969-1971 The radio is a Radiomobile 1095. Fitted too many high end cars at the time. Even in that condition its still worth tens of thousands.
Well this Jag and that MG what model is the MG Stokze ? 😮Man that jag is amazing and all the other including the MG, too bad they’re just going to rot away poor cars man. But Great video once again👍👍👏👏😎😎
What a strange place, it looks like they started making a building to store the cars, made the walls and the upper floor, put the cars in and never finished. It's so damp the poor cars never stood a chance. Reminds me of a 76 Corvette "project" I went to see to maybe purchase in the south of UK, it was in the same condition (except it wasn't as obvious with the fiberglass body), the frame was falling apart, the whole car was about to break in five pieces. It was completely moldy. The owner said he stored it in a friend's barn in 1988, removed a head, and didn't touch it until 2019...
Great find stu I don't understand why people leave cars like that but it looks like all of them been sat to long someone might to the jag but the rest will be just spares wat are parked around it wat a shame looking forward to Sundays one now
Salt air is a killer overtime, not just in UK, but even in the US and Australia etc - it all depends on where you live and how far from the coast (aside from US states which use salt in winter), it doesn't just affect cars but anything metal etc. Suspended salt air etc is high in sodium chloride will wreak havoc with homes, electrical components etc.
Hi stu great video and top marks for your efforts, surely someone will have a go at a restore but that one will probably take years, did you end up buying the white cosworth? Cheers 🥂
Imagine driving that E Type away from the showroom for the first time. I bet they thought they were the dog's you know whats. 😊 Rust and salt roads in winter was always their greatest enemy though. 🌨️
I used to know an old boy who told me that he had a few e type jags in the seventies and would scrap them due to rot and buy another one as they were cheap to buy , if only we could go back in time
@@lesbaty8919Yep. Me in 1982 as a school kid seeing one everyday from the bus. A white one just sitting in a showroom near Sheffield. It was old then but I really wanted it. Ended up with a K reg Vauxhall Viva a few years later. First car. 🚗
Theres certain people who have a screw loose and cannot bring themselves to get rid of their cars and would rather let it rot away, I offered to buy a chaps Jaguar XJS V12 Convertible for sale in Whaley Bridge around 15 years ago it was mint he had it parked outside his little garage for years and for 5 years i kept asking him if i could buy it but he never did, 2 years ago i went back to see if it was still there and sure enough it was and it was a disgrace it started off in OLd English White with a blue roof and when i went back all the tyres were flat the body was rotten and knackered underneath was rotten and it was beyond repair, to say i was gutted is an understatement i knocked on his door and his wife said he died 3 year previous.
Best thing to do with it is get a dry state US spec LHD S2 shell. Then use the UK ID and salvageable bits. This thing is unrestored original and whilst utterly slaughtered it is unmessed with. You can get a decent UK S2 for £70k and to restore it will be £100k plus.
They are called Series 1,1&1/2 , 2 and series 3. This one is a Series 2 wider mouth open headlight and turn signals under the bumper. Believe it or not that can be saved.
Fantastic find but can anything be saved there? This one looks dead. Thanks for taking the video of it before it succumbs to the crusher. The engine must be worth saving though. Can't wait part 2 tomorrow with the other cars 👍
If that was ever restored, how much of it would remain genuine ? It’s basically a guide to where your new parts and panels need to go. Attack that with a wire brush and you’ll be left with a big mound of rust and a headlight. 🙂
Sad to see the state its in but back in 1978 you could buy cars like this for less than a thousand pounds , about 1980 i was offered one as a direct swop for my Cortina 1600E but declined because the doors had holes in them and i though my car was much better option , looking back it was the biggest mistake of my life. DOH.

However, the front rails looked in reasonable condition even though the front clip was almost Bluetooth to the car. Great shame for such a beauty with the straight 6 in her, just amazing. I dunno about tens of thousands. It needs a new shell and everything else.
I saw one in the same condition on an auction site two weeks ago on TH-cam, the bidding was ferocious and it sold for £37000 😮
It will cost 25K to restore it. I'd want 37K 😅 plus the auction will take 8% of that 😱
I'd want more*

What a find dude!
Even in that condition it's worth loads.
H reg would be 1970, so it wasn't that old when it was put there.
Great video Stu love it bro keep them coming
Well worth the drive id say stu good find lets hope it ends up fully restored one day
Great video again 👍 thanks for doing that mammoth drive to film all those cars, sad to see an e type rotton beyond repair.
Great find! Let's hope it gets to someone who can properly restore it.

Wow that's one hell of a find Stu 🤜🤛

That is absolute sacrilege leaving these beautiful jaguars to rot like that I’ve owned many jaguars from my first a mark 2 XJC two XJS two XJ6
Marble look's like "tinos"green, Greek, may only come from that island
good to see you still at it mate. just looked it up. series 2 open top sports coupe 1970

That’s one rotten jag

Alright mate I am looking forward to tomorrow video 💯💯💯💯💯👌
Another good vid stoke mate
fingers crossed that the people who are clearing it know how rare this E Type Jag is and it get restored i would cry if it went for scrap
Its a series II E-type roadster 4,2 ltr, production ran from October 1968- September 1970
Belter bud thanks for the effort to let us see her hopefully someone can do something with her 👍
😢 you just made so sad to see them beautiful British cars what vid bro amazing 😍
Look like they have been saved from a feild and just left in that shed . Carnt believe the e type has a tow bar on it :-0

Nice find, registered 1970ish and last taxed 1978, that's a short life. Very sad, you've got to wonder what the story is.
Many cars vanish off the road after 8 years, especially older cars. Lack of servicing, lack of garage then the rot sets in 😅
I was waiting for this
Nice one ,stokez DFAlgo

these cars have probably been there since you were born oh man i cant begin to imagine how much you would want them yourself deep feelings of sadness
Rust don't discriminate when it comes to eating cars! The E-type was probably a delicacy that isn't served too often.
Even though I’m really not a fan of E-types it’s a shame to let any vehicle with that history waste away....... I’d prefer the Sierra estate 🤦🏻♂️
The doctor will see you now 😅🤣
E Type UK should know about this car. There have this car back on the road. There down in kent.
Guessing from the size of the grill & the headlights & the H suffex (1968/9) it's a late series 2 , could be wrong though 🥴

Rustoleum might help a bit !!!
Hi I've just realized, H reg was 1970, an the tax disc is 1972 so only on the road for 2yrs, hence the low mileage I guess. 😊
Thanks
A towbar! Wtf did the owner tow behind this beauty
It looks like a 4.2 straight six series 2 if ur interested?!
Still saveable,,, parts are all easily obtainable
Its...... STOKZE TIME!!

That E-TYPE is way beyond fixing, there is rust on rust, moving that car would make it fall apart.
Worth - loose term - money for the chassis numbers and engine tho. I bet someone would still pay over £15k for it
@@Sorted7
Yep. It's a reshell donor. The UK ID and core bits means someone will do it.
That E-Type was absolutely criminal, and this comes from a person in the states.
Let's be fair. it's sitting there because it would cost more to restore than its restored value 🤷
Net lost would be 30K 😅
@@deanosaur808 at this point yes, I wholeheartedly agree with you, but I’m not sure if the last MOT was in 1978 according to the last sticker on the wind shield ? If the reg is orginal that would make that car a 70-71 meaning last time it was used it wasn't even 10 years old
Bet someone will restore the jag.
Crusty, but hopefully resourcefull for anyone out there ...
👍🏴
Its only fit for breaking , it would cost 250k to restore then probably worth 125k when done , and not the most desirable
Later e type's maybe Leyland one's had an ugly higher roof,& a stupid 2 tonne V12,that never won any races (cood be wrong)did in other models probably
