They did it last year. They where surprising ans came 4th in class. Ran Ahead of Jimmy Broadbent and Super GTs team for most of the race and lost out due to multiple black flags if i remember correctly...(I may he entirely wrong though)
@rhyswilliams4893 That's the only thing i still don't understand. What is the difference to be a position overall and in class?
@@sihastonsrikumar2780 it's just multiclass racing. It gives less experienced drivers a chance of winning something. It's a great idea for races like this. The youtubers aren't gonna beat the team with drivers who actually race often but they may do if you group them with the novice racers.
Overall its to make the race more entertaining for everyone involved.

One video every 2 weeks until next years 24hr race and if then getting a podium/win, challenge Lando / any professional drivers to time trials or having 4 of you race one another
Noooooo, I was really hoping and looking forward to seeing this becoming a yearly thing. It would be fun seeing it, and then see if they could take first place. Then try out the pro races. Then after everything is done, we could watch them all over again from the start and just see the evolution of the tech, the techniques, the camaraderie, and the showmanship that they have put together for this project.
This video is elite! I have watched it, end-to-end, thrice! It's as good as any top notch racing movie. Kudos to Chip for the Production and to the boys for putting their heart and cheery self into this! There has to be 2024 redemption, notwoways about it! ❤️
