Here's how I protect my pups I just usually stay very close in case predators come into my territory if they zoom in on one of my pups oh it's on I owned like 5 coyotes yea if I mark my territory I just go around the edge of the yellow and Mark there but pay attention to the bar on your pups when u face them make sure you feed all of them that way there around the same weight no runt no nothing

I especially luv the multiplayer vids you do... ^^ And here is a little advice you probably already found out about this but just making sure, the blue bar is the experience of how much your pups know to stay close to the den. So if the blue bar is low your pups r most likely to leave the den and get lost or eaten.
Anyone who needs help: to get your pups trained quickly keep howling until the blue bar is full. Then feed them until they are big enough to travel. That simple.
Mark your territorry alot, and BIG TIP!~ When your far from your base nothing will spawn to attack your pups this also goes when your a little far so you can mark your territory
Lucky for you the bear ran. When my pups were going to the forest, a bear showed up and almost killed me. Three of my pups died...the freaking bear wouldn't leave me alone.
When I played this game, I went out hunting before we moved to Slough Creek. Um, let's just say my mate died of exhaustion trying to hunt and then got killed by a bear while I was waiting for him to regen. I guess that proves he's doing his best but he also died near the pups .-.
When marking your territory, while the minimap is pulled up, it'll show the percentage of how well it is marked (by section, I think). Don't base it completely on how bright the yellow looks. Go by percentage.
Bears mostly come when there is a lot of carcasses by your den. There was loads on carcass by your den. Wolfquest says: Safety.. or food? It's kind of hard to pick, though..
I have got some info in case you want to keep playing it until the end: First of all, the blue bar isnt of experience, to fill it you have to train your pups to stay close to the den. I am not pretty sure of how to get on the next stage, perhaps it glitched. But next you will have to faten your pups enough so they can move to another den with you and the rest you have to find out ;) Good luck!
The reason Pixie left the Hunting Grounds was because you went to find her and like TheGraystripe2 said, the mates have to drop everything and go back to the den. Thats why if your 50 meters or more away, your pups are safe. XD
One of my pups got bitten my coyote, but been making my wolf mark territory every chance I get. Scared to encounter a bear....darn things are hard to kill, let alone catch. Usually stay nearby the den, mark territory, and use the carcasses nearby the den. Think I trained my pups to stay nearby the den. No idea why the mate doesn't do anything....will see it randomly running around, but that's it. lol.
Also, there has to be at least one wolf watching the den. She leaves when you are there and she comes when you leave. So, I'm guessing after 50 meters Your mate goes to your den.
I play the game and my mate Soda is a good fighter. He saved Pixie at the rendezvous site, attacking the hawk's ankles to get it to drop Pixie. Also, he saved Snapple with me when she decided to wander by 2 coyotes. Is this glitched; My pup Valadin bit a bear and it ran for dear life xD
I prefer the under tree den because its close to hunting grounds but the tree on top of the den is a tree so my mate gets stuck in it and can't help with hunting and patrolling. Even worse, the bears sneak up behind the tree and next thing I know: "Your puppy Claw has died" \*_*/

trick sweetie is to keep the pups alive untill they are half grown and you can see there fur colors. try to keep your territory marked to at least in the 80%s..
harold ashby chill, how is that so serious? Caps lock can be used for emphasis, not always for screaming. So serious would be, "**** you, Bere! You let two of your pups die, how could you?!? THIS GAME IS SO FREAKING EASY!!!" That up there? Not too serious.
That bear, there always fast. One of them grabbed my pups and killed it. I had to use a glitch to be super fast, and luckily, I was able to get the bear away and move on. Sometimes, I just log out of the game and come back in, normally, the bear's gone. I've done it with coyotes, works all the time.
I think it would help if they allowed a two-player mode. The mate is practically useless unless rounding up the pups; he/she hardly attacks unless YOU do, first. It would also be more realistic. One would hunt, the other would remain behind... and actually WATCH the pups... Fend for them when a bear comes, not wait for you to run home...
To clarify (just in case): Two-player would mean that one player is the alpha, the other would be the mate. But both parents would be controlled by players.
👎U think u failed to protect? One of mine died cause a bear killed her i think, an then (there is more to the game) web I had to do a summer den, 2 eagle on my journey killed 2 of my cubs. So when I got to. The new den, I only had one pup left. 👎😪😪😓 may the 3 rest in peace 😓😓😓🙏🙏🙏💔💔💔💜💜💜💜💜
Well..Do what you want...I am taking 2 , I am the one that has to protect..hard..But when there is a bear..My mate just run to me and pick up the pup that the bear is aiming , then he continue hunting..

I save the game twice so it became two different fils, so, when I went to the different file, I had gotten pups again and I got really confused, thought it was a glitch so I named my pups "WHAT" "IN" "THE" and "WORLD. xD
in the beginning, u should have made your wolf faster than tronger. From my experience, i suggest that strenght doesn't really matter unless u want to fight. but being a fast runner REALLY helps me protect my pups.
Well, Wolves can have a lot of litters. They can have about maybe 3-5 litters in there life, but that is just an estimation. I'm not 100% sure about that.
Your mate goes to the hunting grounds and hunts for the pups, I found that out when my mate came back and my pups were really weak, but then they were full, but sometimes you have to hunt too, or what's the point, I hope this helped to people who play wolf quest. It is true!!! Its not a fib, try it yourself, you will see... I defend the pups and my male mate hunts, fair enough, right? But I think I should go hunting. I checked on what my mate was doing, he circled in hunting ground and came back with food when he didn't even hunt, I was like wtf?!? And I got two pups to the revenderous site called crystal and lily haha.
Bears run away until you have no stamina then they run back to your den and eat a pup before you can get back to save them. Well, that's what happened for me, anyways :)

James was killed by a Coyote but I then killed the F-ing Coyote. Then when we where by a river Collen drowned. Rachel was the only one that survived. R.I.P Rhink, James, and Colen.

The blue bar is some kind of "pack closeness" bar, to fill it drop the pups by the den when they wander off.
you know the mom feeds and you protect the pups.The pups are your job to protect at all times

the blue bar is how good ur pups know to stay at the den. to get it up u have 2 pick them up and drop them at the den super close though
You should feed pixie more so she will get heavier like snapple 😄
Here is a tip.To keep more predators away mark a circle around you den completely with pee and don't go to far from the den.

In terms of enemies (bears, coyotes, eagles, etc) look for a red dot on the compass. It'll show whether or not the enemy left or not.

Whenever a bear or coyote comes, I just go to sleep and by the time I wake up, they're gone.
