The Remington.... everyone's stock sold out, unknown return dates.... can't find them ANYWHERE. That's actually how I got to this video, trying to find a good alternative.
When water gets cloudy it's usually due to tiny particulates that remain in "suspension" rather than sink to the floor of the pool to be swept or vaccumed up. When I get this I use a Clarifier (any pool store and some grocery stores usually have it). What it does is take the tiny suspended particles and makes them bind together. This makes them heavy enough to sink and be cleaned up like everything else. I'd give that a try but follow the directions on the bottle of course. I hope this helps!
Couple years late, but may help someone. The cloudy is dead algae that's now white rather than green, this would be a filtration issue, be sure to have a good quality sand filter

Well, I can only speak about the results that I have been getting for 3 years. Others tout the performance but I get emails from those who purchased other models, stating how their pool ionizer does nothing. This video is in response to those inquiries. You can call it fake but as long as it keeps working the way it has for the past 3 years, I'm happy. I didnt make it, I only bought it. -Hg

Costco sells a similar product from a company called Remington. Any thoughts on that one?

Technically this product is also a fake, the real floatron is patent protected and uses zinc and silver in the electrode.
