I just loved all of the NPCs ideas! The quest hooks are specially interesting as well. The quest that might take two different ways with the cult for Auril is awesome, it can be made into an adventure itself!
Praise the maiden of chilling asunder!!! My favorite deity in detailed worship. My first campaign with my character was a death knight who fully devoted his all to her. Wielding cold to forge his weapons or make bridges with forged ice to cross to spit the dm 😂 alas.... he on journeys end was trapped forever in the plains of fire as he safe guards a dead gods corpse in a fortress of his making which lasted a year before perishing forever...
I'm playing a Nature Cleric Goliath who, after being the only survivor of his tribe in a massive blizzard, was taken in to Auril's "grace". He vowed to study medicine, so he could honor his brother, who needed medical attention after the storm had cleared, but could not be healed in time. The problem? I'm playing him in Rime of the Frostmaiden, where Auril is the BBEG. It's definitely been awkward to say the least, but a few convincing arguments and a couple levels in wizard should give me a buffer when I inevitably lose my clerical abilities
I took my players through Avernus and The Tomb of Annihilation and now they're returning to the coast now covered in snow after leading Xandala right to Artus Cimber killing him she then escaped with Valindra Shadowmantle with the Ring of Winter when Frost Giants, Eladrin and a Adult white dragon attacked them while on the Heart of Ubtao.. they had to deal with Acererak first so they ran to fight another day 😅 Winter is coming.
I am playing a snow elf cleric that follows the elven god Rellavar Danuvien, the Warder of the Elements and enemy of Auril for Rime of the Frost maiden. Would love to see him represented.
I have a decent amount xP her name is Aelyn and she is the ruler of Clan Horryn, a group of northern barbarians who worship Auril, proving their strength to her by survivng her winters
In my current campaign we literally just found a symbol of Auril at a crime scene. Perfect timing
