The old axe restore, with a dollar store extension cord, a crappy tire grinder, setup on a wooden TV tray in the driveway of the university off campus rental apartment. I happen to know, that these young folks left that driveway and headed home with $38 cash to their name. Well done and git-r-dun son!!!! These folks have been at it for 10 plus years waiting to be overnight successes. Sometimes it just makes me proud to say "I see you". $38 cash in the pocket ..... now that's a story worthy of being heard.
Hi Kyle, the first video I saw of yours was when you were restoring that big hand plane ( Stanley 35 I think). Caught my eye because I have the exact same one that was given to me, that belonged to my grandfather who I am also named after. I was impressed with your attention to detail and the enjoyment you were getting as the project progressed. Hi Kyle, my daughter was born in 2017 also crazy how time flys. I have reached out to you a few times for advice and you always take the time to help me out. You have sent me some stickers that I still have on my tool box. My favorite video is when you sharpened the 940. I wanted that knive so bad and since then I have bought one for my self. I'm so happy you've found it, I know what it's like to loose a cherished knife. As far as my favorite video from you, I wouldn't even be able to choose. Your content is always changing, yet a few things stay the same. Quality, realism, and the way you keep me interested. I think one of many of my favorite ones that you have put on here was the dinner where I had seen both of your daughters eyes light up when you talked with them . I think it was Christmas or Easter dinner that you have posted . My first video of you was when you showed how to sharpen a mora with sand paper in your old shop . I just started commenting this past year ! I subscribed that time with the mora video . I havent been here the whole time though !! Congratulations Kyle !!!! I remember watching that video. Gosh man that’s so crazy to think about. Even thinking about how much has happened in my life haha. My favorites are always the axe videos man. The council tool video was fun. And the work bench videos! And the router plane/45 videos. There a lot lol. You should do an axe collection update. Haven’t seen you do one in a while.
