As a subscriber I'm supposed to be notified by YT, which didn't happen. Anyway, thought of you today and here you are, with 2 new videos to watch. I'll watch again when I have more time and if I have any suggestions I'd be happy to offer it to you. Now on to today's video. Nice to see you back in action!
Hi there, I really enjoy the tour of your new house. You are up to something marvelous. My urgent priority on the house would be to consolidate the weak wall. I wouldn’t go ahead and cut more holes for windows / view in the wall until the exterior walls would be 100% stable. One earthquake or one more heavy storm and that could turn catastrophic. After that I would move on with the beautiful interior plans.
@@abeemer2861 the maison for the openings will also guide us on how best to deal with the wall, so we are taking it step by step. We also need permission from the City council first anyway, so it will be a while before those openings will be done.
The lower room that you are thinking of making into a small apartment, gives you a lot of scope. I would envisage a large open kitchen/living area with a staircase or spiral staircase to the floor above where you could have the toilet/shower and possibly two separate bedrooms or just one large double ensuite. Either way, the whole house is fabulous and offers myriad options.
@@oinatao It seems you have the space to do something like in the last video of "never too small" channel (Interior Designer’s Custom Built Plywood Apartment, Paris 32sqm/344sqft) there. With a french door to the garden as the only access point you would get even more wall space (storage) than him...
bonjour bonjour !
I love the plans and I hope the can be technical reached for you. I noticed the hallway was dark, very dark.Is there a possibility to create more light?
I understand that You are planning to remove the two built in closets on both sides of the classical alcove in the second kitchen. Please keep in mind that this layout is common in France for "better accommodations", mostly as a place for a bed, a daybed (with a curtain in front for temporary privacy), or just to structure the room. I know You want to put a window there for more light. In the older days they wouldn't have, because of the rough conditions at the weathered side. Anyway, keep the two beautiful and antique doors of the closets and use them elsewhere.
Sounds exciting. Good plans and lots of hard work.❤️🙏

Definitly. We are also thinking about making the wood lighter or even painting it white

@@Thomas-Gr hi Thomas, this alcove is actually not original but was added recently, probably in the 1990s
@@oinatao It doesn't look like, but the doors got beautiful proportions like in the old days.
Sorry for the rant!
@@Thomas-Gr What rant? You just gave good, solid advice. Good for you.
Bon courage pour les travaux 😊
