Verna is a complexed character she isn't death nor is she the devil she is a creature that is beyoind time and space and yes she tries to get them to make different dissitions so that their death doesn't have to be so violent but they have to make the choice in the end...free will and all that. I won't say more so that I don't spoil anything for you but I can say that I love this show so much and it gets more and more intense as time goes on. Grate reaction.
