Let's Build a Rat Commander deck, led by Ashcoat of the Shadow Swarm

I was always split between Ashcoat and Karumonix for a Rat deck. Hopefully someone will chime in with their list soon.

Personally I took the third path of Greasefang, and put Karumonix - and one day, Ashcoat (when I can afford it) in the 99 :P

If budget isn't an issue, I'd probably add Nykthos and The Black Gate as part of the Mana base. Awesome decklist!

Love the deck! The only change I might think of is swapping Echoing Return in for one of the removal spells.

i play peer into the abyss to open up the graveyard and play 3 mass revival spells which mostly wins me the game instantly

Pack rat is iconic! But not as good I think as a rat colony in this deck where you run cards like Thrumming Stone
