I just hate the first owner requirement of it as it means you have to open a load of packs and hope you get lucky and also it means you can’t really sell any traceable players in fear that the league is needed and also hate the single player objectives as world class and legendary are hard for most casual players of people who struggled playing the cpu in general

Icon swaps on paper is a great idea. You get to decide how much you want to play and the more you play the better icons you can get. But the fact that EA decide what cards we get to pick between (last year we got to decide what cards we wanted by having the icon sbcs for ever made it so we had something we could work towards) and when we are going to get them (by only giving x amount of tokens for a specific amount of time). By the time we would actually be able to get the cards like Essien, Ronaldinho, Vieira, Hernandez and Del Piero we are way past TOTY and most of the players that have the time to get all of the tokens would probably have a squad in which a base Vieira, a base Ronaldinho, a mid Barnes are not guaranteed to be good enough to get into most people's teams. It's just mindblowning to me that they have a perfect concept on paper and some how fuck it up this much. Just my opinion...
I've packed him in an untradable rare electrum player's pack. Found him pretty good, but I don't see how people pay more than 500k for him. He is really good but definitely not worth it.

There's a glitch which makes it a lot easier, just score one goal and then u go and make a fake shot that makes you stop. That will make it so they won't attack you for the rest of the game.

I’m really annoyed at how you do SBCS to go into your team and you know that it may be a risk and cannot trade it onto the market it’s a gamble on how long he’s going to be playing in your squad and you need to think is he worth the coins . But now by the sounds of it if ea re release all of the best SBCS eg . David Villa and will probably make him like 50-100k that just takes all the 250k I put into him and the gamble on if he’s going to be good and how long he’s going to be in my team . For me that David villa was well worth the 250k he’s incredible but if they make him a 100k card I’m going to loose the plot .
I thought Icon swaps was promising before FIFA 20 but after seeing the options EA give us and going through the BS objectives I'll happily take back Icon SBCs
So disappointed, this ends in March, around the time when TOTY, Prime Moments and probably Future Stars will be in the game, and none of these Icon Swaps are really THAT meta/endgame. Especially attacking wise. And those Squad Battles requirements are stupid, no one will go through that for any of these options to get it when so many other high end meta cards are in the game and will overshadow every one of these options. And dont forget those few good swaps will take months to complete, and in the meantime your squad will get upgraded massively. Smh.

Maybe they made a mistake with the base Vieira? The 88 Vieira is much more in line with the 90 Essien's price and stats. Someone made a Reddit post showing the value per token of each icon in the last swaps and they were pretty consistent. Seems strange now that the two 23 token players are literally double/half the price of each other.
I think it's like EA wants it. Last year they also didn't release the Prime Moments Icon SBC for Vieira, Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Gullit, Eusebio... Because they know that these players just have something that other cards don't have, that makes them super OP. I think it is the same this time where they don't want us to have a better version of Vieira or Ronaldinho than the base version, just by grinding the game.
I think van der sar+Zambrotta for just 17 tokens are really good because it will be not so much stress and you won't have to worry for a gk and a rb for the rest of the game

Here's a genuine question. Do the SB's after the weeks 40 games count towards this? As in the games that don't award points after all 40 games are completed. Do they still count towards the icon challenge? Really not leaving us any room for mistakes if not.

Here's a genuine question. Do the SB's after the weeks 40 games count towards this? As in the games that don't award points after all 40 games are completed. Do they still count towards the icon challenge? Really not leaving us any room for mistakes if not.
