Noticed how long this video was and how late it is over here right now (it's no surprise Ashoka is trash anyway). Saw this comment and clicked the link and was not disappointed 😂
THANK YOU!! Listen, I grew up on Star wars clone wars I had no interest in Star Wars before that, but even I'm getting tired of Ahsoka. She really should've died in Rebels. I'm also glad you pointed out ahsoka's stuped logic when she was arguing with Obi-Wan about saving the chancellor, I was thanking to myself "Ahsoka are you stupid? If they lose the chancellor they lose the war dumbass, I also rolled my eyes when she pulled a Ray/Mery sue holding a space ship in place in midair", Also to, thanks for pointing out how ridiculous that scene was when she was talking to the council and didn't mention what darth maul told her about Anakin
There may be more to Ahsoka than meets the eye. She is not a 100% righteous hero that some may think she is. She is good, although she still has a sense of self preservation. She let Maul out on the Tribunal as a diversion, and though she did not kill the clones herself, she had to have known how that would go. This doesn't make her a bad person, since all the clones were trying to kill her, and she didn't know that Maul would destroy the hyper drive. She is a complex character, much like Anakin. As far as her force power goes, she would have been knighted a jedi if she had returned to the order, so her power was there. Leaving the order didn't reduce her power. Also, she really wanted to live.
8:23 Problem with this is that Ahsoka would have to tell Luke about how she didn't tell anybody about Palpatine, which would really piss Luke off. And we can't have that because that would be interesting.
You demystify the unknown regions by showing us more of them. Part of what makes things like the Yuuzhan Vong in legends so cool is how little we actually know about them and their technology. It's so widely different from anything within the main galaxy, so much so that the early Jedi didn't even know what to do when encountering them. Playing with the idea that outside the known galaxy there might be monsters and civilizations so advanced that we couldn't possibly comprehend them is just so cool to me and I hate the idea that it's just the exact same as the main galaxy but bigger.
Comparing Ahsoka in Rebels even and Ahsoka the show......is so different as day and night. Shes more older and mature in both but theres more emotion and effort in what the character does and says in Rebels alone than the live action.
The ball points to the homeworld of the Nightsisters. It only points to Thrawn because he happened to land on that exact planet. So the question isn't "how does the ball know where Thrawn is?" It's "how f*cking convenient is it that Thrawn happened to land on the one planet the Nightsisters already had a map to" Still bad, just in a different way
I agree with this and it was actually Mr Lucas who created the character and said that character died, but Dave Filoni created a shit vortex to keep her alive and thus also betraying George, whereas Jon Favreau fought to have the Luke Skywalker we all wanted in the Mando series and Favreau also gave us the Boba Fett we all wanted in the first two Mando series, and then Kathy Kennedy promoted Filoni and the Boba Fett series and Mando 3 were shit as Filoni was in charge, and the George Lucas created character was going to get her own show written by Filoni and he shit all over that too. I have no faith in Filoni whatsoever, and haven't for quite some time.
Not true. You're rightfully criticizing Filoni for some of the bad things he did do, but you are giving Favreau WAYYYY too much credit. Do not forget that while Filoni was busy assasinating Ahsoka's character, he was almost absent from Book of Boba Fett and ESPECIALLY Mando S3. That was all Jon. Jon is no genius either
The A180 blaster looks a LOT like the 22 Ruger my fatger gave me when I was 5 years old to become proficient with weapons handling. Brings back memories. He bought it just for me.
Thank you. Your Opinion is my Own. I like Ahsoka. Watched her in the Show "Rebels" Saw how her Story SHOULD have ended. And did. Thank you. She wasn't entirely bad beforehand. But after her Death she was Dead. But Filoni likes Ahsoka and doesn't want her to Die. So. She lives an is only a Contradiction afterward.
@@mazkeraid4039 Yea. But at least for the 2nd time. They should have ended her there. Be like she lucked out of death the first time. Can't escape it this time around
The sadest thing is that the Ahsoka show walks away from the Ahsoka we grew to love in the Clone Wars and gives us a poor copy that really should not exist at all! Dave, you were supposed to save Star Wars from Kathelene Kennedy and her Force female.... Not join her!
David shoves her in … 🤔 an interesting turn of phrase. This Grape Play of shoving seems to be all ‘these people’ know how to do. Excellent work … keep bringing it.
Sabine is like that Sonic the Hedgehog OC variant who just so happens to be the coolest thing to ever have existed (at least in the mind of their creators)
The thing about Ahsoka is, what I know from lot's of comments in the internet and on youtube videos, Lucas wanted that Ahsoka died at the end of The Clone Wars series. While her appearance doesn't realy fit with the movies at all, but on the other hand, when she get killed, maybe by Count Dooku, after the bond between her and Skyguy, Anakin's anger and easy going ruthless kill (enlivened by Palpatin's commentaries) on Count Dooku is more coherent, also his fast and easy going fall to the dark side (not only by the love thingy)... Then yes, as you mentioned, in Rebels, between her and Vader, this was also a good situation to let her die, also on a point where it had sense in the term, that it don't fucked the little left continuity and meaning of the OT... But, Feloni says no, he kept his lovedoll... eh waifu and breaks with every Show he make more and more of the lore and canon.
7:12 😂😂😂😂😂😂 I haven't laughed so hard at a show or movie review in a long time. I haven't even watched the show but this is more entertaining, I'm certain of it. 😂 I just subscribed, I really loke your editing. 👏 Great work! I think Mary Elizabeth Winstead (wife or whatever Ewan McGregor was ahem, suggested, for the part even though she wasn't right for it. He was so one note the whole time. 19:36 "Hey Asohka, what year is it?" "Uhmm, that's not important!" 😬😮💨 They couldn't even both to set a date or time period. So frustrating how they do the minimum and then get mad and complain when we, the fans or even reviewers who aren't fans, point out the i consistencies in character actions and motivations, continuity, etc and then get mad at bad reviews fairly addressing problems in the show! Wtf?! The bar is in hell!
On a side note, I’m rewatching andor for the first time and I can’t believe how good it really was. The music, characters, wow.. how Asoka fell so short baffles me
You do not need jack or sheeet to watch it and enjoy it...I did not lol...but makes me want to now...I feel the echos of those unseen showes...and enjoyed it for them
I don't believe that we will see Thrawn until the end of the 8th episode after the credits and the talk about star killer being Marrok but he is no where near what star killer was I think Marrok is just Marrok and the look on her face is the weird surprise
Didn’t someone say that we DIDN’T have to watch previous shows to understand the plot? Not like there was one anyway. Ahsoka has been shoehorned into everything. Heck, at this point I wouldn’t be surprised if Fraud Filoni changed original events just to include his precious character in them.
8:44 I thought I was crazy when none of the stuff you said was brought up and how all these TH-camrs kept saying how the conversation between the two was nice and I’m here wondering what conversation Also I’m sick of hallway scenes 24:00 f*ck that dialogue is bad 32:10 I hate intergalactic travel because the Star Wars galaxy is so big why not set it in the unknow region that has no Navigation routes and the ball there fighting over could have a route. That way it doesn’t break the world building
Why are the series and movies of well-known Star Wars characters now mediocre? First it happens with Han Solo, then Boba Fett, then Kenobi, and now Ahsoka. This is unfortunate, so many years waiting for something like this from these great characters and then these things happen.
I always try to give shows 3 episodes before I decide if I’ll continue or drop and this one didn’t even take an entire episode to decide which is kinda disappointing.
The worse part is Morgan is portrayed by Diana Lee Inosanto, whose father is Dan inosanto. Rosario Dawson should have taken more time to train with Ms. Inosanto, an expert martial artist and stick and staff fighter, those fight scenes would have been waaaaay better
To be fair, training is booked by the studio because the trainer needs to need to be paid. Rosario Dawson has zero control on how long or how often the trainer is booked leading up to and during shooting.
even if this is true it was known by very few people...also some people say that the NightSister came from exactly that galaxy so dont be suprised if we see soon Disney Star Wars Force Magic since everyone who only belives in something obv directly achives it.....
I know that I am in the major minority here, but I think that Rosario Dawson sucks playing Ahsoka. She has never been the right actress for her imo, and I hate every time that she comes on screen because she doesn't give me the *Ahsoka* energy that Ashley Eckstein did. I know the AE was her voice actor, and it's easier to voice than play a character, but AE definitely would've been the better choice for live action Ahsoka. RD's acting always gives me a cardboard vibe when she's on screen doing anything, she never demonstrates any amount of emotion and this was especially amplified in Ahsoka where scenes would play with an off-putting vibe about them. Also, when you say at 11:05, the chances of them being Jedi are slim, I disagree. Not in this Dave Filoni universe that Disney has pursued. Dave thinks that Order 66 was just a few unlucky ducks were caught, while the whole rest of the order got away apparently. Insert Obi-Wan jedi from Tattooine, the golden path or whatever they're called, Luke's new order, Ahsoka herself, etc. Another thing: I apologize that these are very separate thoughts, commenting as I watch and editing the comment as I post. It's kind of funny, there seems to be a competition of sorts within LucasFilm atm. Andor and Rogue One were quality SW projects in my opinion. Then you have the rest, where you could take a talented character from one of the better projects, (Andor or Rogue One), they simply just use plot contrivances. It's insane that we get something as good as Rogue One from a film, immediately followed by two of the most mediocre films of the whole franchise. Similarly with Andor, there's quality storytelling, world building, writing, and characters don't really feel like they're cardboard, they feel like people. All of the other D+ projects have been failures (aside from Mando season 1 & part of 2) because nothing feels... real(?) The story is and then storytelling and it makes no sense in the bigger picture of SW. You would think that someone like Filoni, who was Lucas' apprentice, would understand what to do with the franchise. Instead, Filoni has been locked in an echo chamber for 10 years where his ideas have had zero pushback with "maybe that's not a great idea, we could try to reorient this into a direction more in-line with what Star Wars is."
Wait u glossed over my fav part! “This is our galaxy…” Ummm yeah we travel through space, we know what it looks like. We have a map. In fact, our map is more up to date with gas stations, bathrooms, and cool trivia. Oh your map only has dots and lines.
Sabine was the least popular character in rebels, despite being a pretty girl AND a mandalorian warrior. Zeb, a bargain bin wookie ripoff, absolutely killed her in popularity rankings. It just baffles me how they thought this show would work.
Given how much the characters are fundamentally changed from what Filloni created, do you think thata really Filloni's fault, or Disney Higher Ups shoe-hoening their ideas onto this show and then blaming Filloni if it fails?
I watched clone wars and rebels, but I'm not a huge fan of sw animation. Too cartoony. WAAAAAY too much plot armor and weird characterizations. But, if that's your thing, I understand. But the way Thrawn was portrayed in Rebels was criminal. Just as bad character assassination as Luke in TLJ or Fett in BoBF. And with Ahsoka the series, I'm done with anything Filoni makes. It looks great but stink like an open sewer.
I like Shin, I think she could have been a really cool character but they wasted her in this. She had a great evil vibe to me, and really good movement when fighting, she seemed quick and vicious in spots, but they didn't do anything with her and made her run away from the fights - disappointing!
Here's something I have thought. Rebels was good, if not great. So how can someone who wrote something good make a follow-up to it and practically undo much of what he did? I know it happens every now and then and that sequels often don't turn out to be as good as the original, but most also don't fall that far down so much.
Rebels and Clone Wars both had writing teams attached. If you look at the actual writing credits, Filoni didn’t pen the whole show even if he came up with the rough ideas.
Why does the crawl refer to Ahsoka as "former Jedi Knight"? She was never a knight. She was still a padawan when she left the order. Did Dave even watch his own show?
1)That fact that Luke is the only one who could save Vader will always have a big impact. Seen that Anakin became Vader to save Padme and therefore their offspring would be the best choice for the role. 2) when the light side of the force gave her life to save Asoka , we would always see morai follow her around . And he was still present when the temple fell.
This was not a serious show, and there were never any stakes, and no reason for the actors to put anything into their paper thin characters. It’s member berries for the undiscriminating cartoon fan. Which is just fine and a W for undiscriminating cartoon viewers.
The problem with Ahsoka is that she exists and so many of you young people just accept it because you grew up with kids cartoons. You didn't even grow up with the real movies, the x wing games or the Zahn books (not perfect by the way). Filoni is a joke. But sw has been a joke since before Disney.
I grew up with that cartoon and just despise Ahsoka and Filoni now. I’m currently exploring the content you mentioned and it’s so fucking amazing, eons superior to whatever Filoni or Disney have made
I gotta say some of these points are valid, but some of them, with some very basic research and prior knowledge of the characters, a lot of the shows plot and unanswered or oddly opened questions are answered, the point of the droids having an atomic bomb, the planet is covered in odd powder, and through the explosion is implied the powder is explosive, to booby trap the planet/temple, the notes on Sabine “somehow” being able to understand the star map, yet having lots of prior experience with maps as demonstrated in rebels, she also doesn’t want to go to the ceremony because it’s celebrating Ezra, but she knows he won’t be there and is still grieving his loss, I won’t say the show is amazing, by all means it has its flaws, but some of the points made in this just don’t make a lot of sense of sense to people with some knowledge of the franchise and the characters
still dosent explain why the person who sents these robots want them to explode because it would literally had destroyed the map .... defend it all you want the shot is just pure dogshit.
To be honest, this show might have worked better as a cartoon, it is basically Rebels Season 5: The Search for Ezra What would have made this story more interesting would be exploring the relationship between Sabine and Ahsoka. Make it about their journey after Ahsoka takes her on as an apprentice, leading up to Sabine's family dying in the Day of 1000 tears. I would have been at least some what more invested in this series if it were about that. Instead, I have to watch Rebels to even know who any these characters are! I've been a fan of Ahsoka since she made her debut, but this show..... Ugh!
Why would you complain about Ahsoka not trusting herself enough to train Grogu only a couple minutes after you just talked about the weight of Ahsoka's inability to turn Anakin back to the light side on the plot of ROTJ and also on her conscience? You know the reason isn't because "Grogu angry" lmao, it's because of that exact pain you just talked about. That's not Dave being a bad writer...
Ahsoka only agreed to train her the first time because she assumed her low midichlorian count/inherent force potential meant Sabine could never be a strong jedi. Once she realized that if Sabine pushed through and actually unleashed her force sensitivity, then she would potentially be too powerful as a force-sensitive mandalorian who was extremely emotionally unstable due to losing almost all of her friends and having her home world destroyed. It would be more of a challenge for her (and it literally took 10 years), but that's a part of Filoni/Disney SW's democratization of the force concept, whether you like it or not. Anyways, they explain in the last ep of Ahsoka that this realization drove her away from training Sabine the first time, and after this is when she refuses to train Grogu, who is far more force-sensitive than Sabine was. Ahsoka has to overcome that self-doubt in S1 of her show to agree to train Sabine, and Sabine finally is able to use the force in an emotionally desperate situation on a planet with a supernatural connection to the force that has yet to be explained. I loved this show and the story it was trying to tell, I'm genuinely sorry it ruined the character for you. That's just my take though. Maybe you can take this into consideration when you further critique the show, as you have every right to. But I think it has a lot of good in light of the flaws.@@ActuallyAndrewYT
Yeah I get the feeling some of this is just people that enjoy complaining. I get the flaws but it just feels like people are ready to attack and not even trying to enjoy it. Don't misunderstand though, Disney did cause this.
I wouldn’t say I’m not trying to enjoy it. I’m enjoying Huyang and that’s about it. I want to enjoy the character but they’ve been stripped of everything that made them special.
Ahsoka knew where the droids were because her species montrolls (the horns on their head) give them echolocation she can then use that with her force sense abilities so Ahsoka specifically has great awareness. Deep lore if you knew you knew if you didn't well we just aren't the same level of fan. There are a lot of expanses of information you are missing as a fan from the expanded universe about intergalactic travel, wild space, and the unknown regions of space. You forgot Sabine is an explosives expert as well. YOu just seem like an awfully uninformed critic and dont understand this show is made for fans that already understand the vast star wars universe and while it is inviting, for years people called star wars EU fans super fans and nerds, when we probably have the most understanding and can interpret the vision of Filoni as someone else who is a superfan. Ahsoka is Heir to the empire with a filoni verse twist that will connect this world with the Sequel films in a way that works and makes the fans happy and on the back end will work out more world building for the universe the sequels built. while as a double edged sword distracting fans with how bad the sequels were with much better material and providing more structure for future works. IF you call yourself a fan pick up an old book, comic, or indulge in some old lucas arts games. Dathomiri Witches have the power to commune with the living force and manipulate it through their sorceries, Morgan is using this power to find thrawn in tandem with the star map as a translocator spell.
I dont call myself a fan for this reason. I enjoy star wars and its storytelling, yes. but I'm not going to go out of my way to read books that are NOT CANON in order to understand WHAT IS CANON. its like saying a superhero movie is good purely based on the fact that you "understand the source material." thats not how adaptation works.
Mate, my guy. Do you not listen to the complaints for this show. Its main problem is that it is inconsistent with the lore and that the characters have such terrible writing that they aren’t even consistent with Rebels which is Dave’s show. How can you write this saying that this show was writing for people that already understand the vast expanse of the Universe. Which isn’t true because it is clearly contradicting previous established works including Dave’s own works. Also as a show runner you can’t expect people to know all this lore or to have watched a kids show in order to understand what is happening in this show. You have to establish it in the world you are building. If Sabine is an explosive expert then why didn’t the show take the time to explain it to any one that hasn’t watched Rebels.
Nope, just a toxic feminist influenced addition. The ole "why can't a woman be the protagonist and take down the men in power depicted in the story"💩💩💩
No, it's just a story with a female protagonist, grow up. Women are allowed to be main characters. Ahsoka is one of the best characters in Star Wars and has been around for over a decade, but when she gets a show where she's the lead it's suddenly feminist?
@@evolition7 Was Ahsoka a sign of toxic feminism when she was kicking ass in Clone Wars, Rebels and Mandolorian, or is she only feminist when she's given the spotlight?
Hell, the FIRST Star Wars movie was about a woman (Leia) leading a rebellion fighting against men in power (Vader and Palpatine), so was that feminist too?
These star wars 'fans' are the worst. They constantly try to prove their intelligence by making any sw content seem stupid, all while talking about make believe, then ridicule if u don't agree. Doesn't matter who makes star wars.. Each generation hates the next generation of sw,, all because the new version of sw doesnt grow with them and connect the way it did when they were little bitty kids. Each generation becomes a gatekeeper for the next. Doesn't matter if GL came back now to make new sw, it wouldn't be acceptable for these 'hard core' fans now because its not what they grew up with yada yada...rinse and repeat. Oh well, negativity sells and gets subs, and that's way more entertaining than sw. Keep the content coming! I'm loving it.
ah yes ... just persue them with pitchfolks and burn them because they have their own opinion and are not manipulated by the media. You my friend is what I call a 🤡Welcome to our society@@ouandello
To be fair, after she's pulled from certain death by Ezra, she had a revelation, and proves this by telling Ezra that he can't save his master and she can't save hers. So, she did come to her senses and gave up on him in the process. Now, she is extremely jaded at the Jedi's recent past being 95% battle-ready political pawns, so her comment about, "No, the Chancellor needs you" is in reference to them abandoning her on Malacore, and jumping at his every beckon call...and she's just sick of the same ol' shit. As far as her relevance to Star Wars, she walked away from the Order! Something even Anakin was too afraid to do. She's very independent, always willing to help those in need, and has been imbued with the life Force of the Daughter, using Anakin as a conduit. She is the epitome of what a true Jedi should be, and should definitely make an appearance in the new Rey movie, because everyone knows that she wasn't dead when all those Jedi spoke to Rey. She's not Jedi, but still carries as a Jedi should. Those Hispanic mechanic sisters said it best. She's like The A-Team. In hiding, constantly on the run, and will help where needed.
"Luke , Did I ever told you about Ahsoka Tano"
stop 😔
And she was a good friend
It's not a story the Empire would tell you.
I saw a 3-panel comic where Luke tells Ahsoka he redeemed Anakin and she breaks down crying and hugging him. If a random fan artist can do it with 3 panels of a comic, Filoni has no excuse.
he never had any excuse. Quite the opposite. He is the guy responsible.
My favourite from the first episode is the Mon Calamari guard who has long webbed fingers and in no way can actually fire his gun.
It's a trap! 😂

Only the 6 movies and the Expanded Universe are the only legitimate canon

Not the first time, she should have stayed dead in Mortis arc.

The sadest thing is that the Ahsoka show walks away from the Ahsoka we grew to love in the Clone Wars and gives us a poor copy that really should not exist at all!

THE MOVIE CAME OUT 18 YEARS AGO? I remember seeing it in the cinema and immediately getting the Lego anakins starfighter for my birthday 😭😭
It actually came out 15 that’s my mistake. But yes I also feel really old because of this.
So I think ahsoka thought maul was lying about palatine? Either way she should have told the Jedi

There’s an uncomfortable disparity between the volume when you speak Andrew and the scenes from Ahsoka.

I mean, they're not wrong?
I have heard that instead of Ahsoka fighting Vader and crack his helmet they are going to have her fight Marrok instead to revil he is Marrok
On a side note, I’m rewatching andor for the first time and I can’t believe how good it really was. The music, characters, wow.. how Asoka fell so short baffles me

He didn't change events, but yes he did shoehorn her into the events of the prequels, especially the end of season 7.
He already did

Why are the series and movies of well-known Star Wars characters now mediocre? First it happens with Han Solo, then Boba Fett, then Kenobi, and now Ahsoka.
This is unfortunate, so many years waiting for something like this from these great characters and then these things happen.

1:09 - 1:12 😂👌🏼
Lol, its the death of it. No longer star wars
Filoni = 🤠🤡
Also they should leave Luke doing whatever so they don't butcher him to lift Ahsoka up
Wait u glossed over my fav part!
This is Joe Biden's favorite TV show.
Yes, he loves to sniff lekku😉
I watched clone wars and rebels, but I'm not a huge fan of sw animation. Too cartoony. WAAAAAY too much plot armor and weird characterizations. But, if that's your thing, I understand. But the way Thrawn was portrayed in Rebels was criminal. Just as bad character assassination as Luke in TLJ or Fett in BoBF. And with Ahsoka the series, I'm done with anything Filoni makes. It looks great but stink like an open sewer.
The guy asked what Jedi what about Luke Skywalker and Leia
The clone wars movie released theatrically? Jesus that movie was shxx.
Yea I hate this time travel stuff. If they keep this up they will have multiple realities depending on how they screwed up the past.
Your so negative it feels like satire yet everything you said is true.
TCW and Disney Star Wars is not canon, fuck it.
Episodes 1-6 and the Expanded Universe for the win
The problem with Ahsoka is that she exists and so many of you young people just accept it because you grew up with kids cartoons. You didn't even grow up with the real movies, the x wing games or the Zahn books (not perfect by the way).
Filoni is a joke. But sw has been a joke since before Disney.
I grew up with that cartoon and just despise Ahsoka and Filoni now.
I’m currently exploring the content you mentioned and it’s so fucking amazing, eons superior to whatever Filoni or Disney have made
Luke didnt ask Ashoka because Ashoka was his fathers misstress during the clone wars.
Maybe live action budgets are different from animation 🤷🏿♂️
Great video. This show sucks and I'll never watch it but I don't need to because of videos like this Haa
To be honest, this show might have worked better as a cartoon, it is basically Rebels Season 5: The Search for Ezra
What would have made this story more interesting would be exploring the relationship between Sabine and Ahsoka. Ugh!
To me, Ahsoka is the survivor of order 77 by KK.
Nice to listen to a person with a brain dissect this attrociously made show piece by ridiculous piece. People defending this show baffle me.
No, the point is she doesn’t train Grogu, but is completely fine with training Sabine because… reasons. That’s the point. She is inconsistent.
I was like #666. Nice
