You definitely taste the best foods in Indonesia. To be honest, for goat satay/sate kambing, we only used sweet soy sauce with shallots cuts as condiment, while peanut sauce usually being the sauce of chicken satay. you can request goat sate without fat, cost bit more but it's all meat, same with chicken sate some places have chicken skin between meat that you can request to have meat only.. there are different type of peanut sauce, some are thicker and richer where they combine peanut and cashew usually found in vegetable dishes (gadogado, ketoprak or pecel).. you're getting all the top of the line food there, enjoy..

Yummm - everything looked super delicious but those noodle dishes in particular caught my eye. I absolutely adore that style of beef ball (and similar ones made with pork or fish)...their bouncy / springy texture is everything!! However, I have come to realise that the mouthfeel is perhaps something you must have grown up with or become accustomed to. I have tried time and time again to slip various versions into meals when I am feeding my Swedish family and whilst they have zero complaints about the flavour, they simply cannot get their head around the texture. 😂

11:29 ketoprak consists of Ketupat (boiled rice), bihun (clear noodles), tofu, covered with peanut sauce. Meanwhile Gado-gado consists of veggies (potato, long beans, spinach, cucumber) also tofu and covered with peanut sauce, mostly here we eat Gado-gado optionally with ketupat or rice.

WOW,... 😲😲😲😲 you tried the most delicious food in the world & food heaven in Indonesia, so many spices that other countries don't have. In contrast to food from Thailand, it is very sour and doesn't have a lot of spices, just always use coriander leaves.
It's different from your country, isn't it...? Where every day you only eat burgers, mashed potatoes, fries, bread every day. Of course it's boring there's not much flavor in the food and it's so bland. You are lucky to be able to try and enjoy all Indonesian food. Until Indonesia was colonized by the Dutch because they wanted the spices in Indonesia to be brought to their country.

Ketoprak main ingredient only contains Rice cake, Beansprout, Tofu, rice vermicielli, cucumber and "omelet". The peanut sauce usually just made of garlic and red onion...
Meanwhile Gado-gado more like Salad but in Indonesia style, main ingredient are the veggies 😅 . Usually use Shrimp Paste for the peanut sauce(its also different to everyone recipe, some use ginger).
Also we have another similar peanut sauce squad, its called Rujak "buah" but more focused on Fruits and the most thick Peanut sauce among them.

gado gado consists of veggies + tempeh + tofu + boiled eggs, frequently called Indonesian salad, while ketoprak has ingredients like a normal meal that has more carbs from the ketupat and bihun noodle, while there's other ingredients like bean sprouts, cucumbers, tofu or even fried egg. One more thing that differs them is that and the peanut sauce in ketoprak has garlic (and most of the times, chilies) in it, that's why it's more addicting, at least to me.
