Apologies with this episode's technical issues everyone! Seems that my audio/video goes out of sync at a few points in the video and then mutes for a brief moment before syncing back up again. No idea what the cause was but still it sucks.
I never noticed that Derryth sells the ingredients to the tadpole potion, but I guess I've always been lower level than 6 when doing the quest. I love the fandom name Bite for the owlbear as then it's Scratch and Bite 😊 And Astarion had me laughing with his antics!
The main and most OP use of Sovereign Glut is to revive the monstrosities you defeated this episode with his spores, getting even MORE allies on your side
Glut is super op actually, but just in case spoilers: He can raise any creature in the underdark as a spore servent forever, that can even be the Bulette, which makes the encounters super easy.
truly outrageous behaviour from that Astarion fellow, what is the world coming to? I say chain long resting to do my rounds with Astarion to pickpocket every refreshed vendor instead of progressing my game.
Shadowheart is able to wear heavy armour too with the class change you did by the way Mapo, also its worth using mage armour on gale whenever your using him since its only a level 1 spell and gives a permanent AC boost until the next long rest, it will make him less squishy for you
1:14:16 Or just jump on these rocks on the top left avoiding all the explosions easily. I usually bring Lae'zel because of her magic hand to bring the extremely precious quest item. That and turn mode to go back and forth without triggering anything.
Well, all in all not bad. I blow up the noble stalk the 1st few times too. Didn't raise the dead with your shroom buddy either but pets are happy and battles won!
@@larrymays4244 so your first complaint is he’s cheating (by pickpocketing, a skill that rogues are literally specialised in and built around) And your second compilation is he’s on easy mode when he’s on normal 😂 you need to lock in if you’re gonna make comments like this bro Btw don’t play fallout, elder scrolls, dark and darker or any game with pickpocketing bro. Wouldn’t want you to “cheat” 😂😂
If you are having issues getting the best out of Wyll, you might want to dual class him. I am hesitant to suggest this, as it's your blind play through. And you don't want back seat driving. I went for Bard, Swords Bard eventually. Coupled with Misty Step and the Bardic Inspiration flourishes, he is very useful. I am sure there are other classes even better to multi class into. If you don't to multi class and want to keep him single class, the basic Warlock play is lay down an area of affect concentration spell to last the encounter, keep back and lay down the Eldritch Blasts. Here again Misty Step is your friend. My issue with this is it is not how Wyll is presented as Blade of Frontiers. Swords Bard keeps the image while adding more spells.

That Bulette is so hard after patch 7 in Honor mode... an extra 100 hps of crystal skin that cannot take any damage unless the hit is over like 20-22 or something. I ran into him first after patch 7 when I was still level 4... couldn't touch the guy. Luckily he runs away, fought him like 6 times before I killed him. Before patch 7, even on honor mode, I could still usually kill him the first time he came up even with his old honor abilities that made him a little harder too... Too bad didn't have Glut spore fungus that bulete though... and too bad you blew up the bibber bangs... theres more stuff that blew up than you know.
@@Motor7Mike in a single hit, at his level... it can be done, but much easier higher up... but he does multi attacks, its not about total damage, but each individual hit. Most melee classes can get over 20 with the right build, and extremely easy later in game... and so can clerics even lower levels with a few blasts and work it off... but it still makes it very hard, especially if your only level 3-5 when most people are here, and maybe have magic weapons even by then.
game mechanics tip: you might want to use the tavern brawler monk way more effectively, some day, maybe, not that you really need it, but the difference is huge! you need more strength (can use elixirs) and then with tavern brawler the strength modifier (i.e. 5) is added TWICE to attack rolls AND damage rolls (+10), which makes it insanely op. for all throws and ALL UNARMED attacks (actions, bonus actions, special ki stuff). you hit everything, many times, with a lot of damage. NOT with weapons though (like that staff)… just saying :) you might wanna up the difficulty then.
Ok I'm at 1:09 e you still haven't got it so forgive me if you figure it out until the end of the ep but i wanna say: Maybe the fact that Shadowheart is shinning like a damn lighthouse all the time has to do with the Myconids alergy to the sun and why he's always weakened?

Remember, Lazel really hates the thieves. Would be cool if she lost some relationship points for each time you're stealing.
Astarion is stealing, so why would Mapocolops lose relationship points lol, not how that works. Also there literally were repercussions I stole from the Halfling in the Grove and got caught and he fought me, I ran away and he's permanently pissed at me...like there are repercussions, I've just starting handling it better. You need to just let me have my fun honestly, it's fun roleplay and makes sense that Astarion as a ROGUE is a little thief. Lighten up :)
@@Mapocolops Sorry, I didn't mean to sound so negative. I get it, it's fine, it's part of the game, you are allowed to have fun with it =D. I'm just too into role playing, and your neutral good group and leader gnome allowing (and helping) Astarion to rob innocent people is just too immersion breaking to me and feels a bit like meta gaming. I would not be so irked if it was just Astarion robing people for his own gain, not supplying his whole group and them gladly accepting it, haha. But you do you, still enjoying the playthrough.
@@Nerr0us I'm not sure leader gnome is neutral good. 😂 That guy will do anything to get what he wants, it just so happens that he usually wants to help people. With their lives, but not necessarily with their goods...

Aye stuff happens, was still a fun episode to watch ☺️
Mapo, do you record in 1080p or higher?
Oh thank god, i thought it is something wrong on my side
it's no biggie!
If you’re going to steal all that money at least increase the difficulty to Tactician.
I think Glut may have had permanent sun sickness because Shadowheart was using the Blood of Lathander?
That and the radiating orb on enemies from her luminous armor.
It was only for the radiating orb, and the other times he was looking at Glut's traits, not active debuffs. 😆
Mapo going "It's what Astarion would do" while robbing a poor old lady blind is kinda hilarious
The correct way to use astarion
Biblically accurate Astarion:
