Dick Powell stars as Richard Diamond, Private Detective.
This episode, titled "The Ralph Chase Case", is the fourth episode of the series, initially released on May 15, 1949.
Ralph Chase is the executor of his wife's will. The step-kids are mixed up with gangster who are trying to get their hands on the money in the will.
Richard's fee, $100 per day, equates to $1,094 per day in 2021 dollars.
The series would run for four years on radio, and became a TV series in the late 50s, starring David Jansen.
Richard Diamond, Private Detective was created by Blake Edwards.
