I’ll be posting my thoughts on some of my fav prisoner’s songs here just in case someone wants to add on or anything. I do love every song revealed btw, I’m just more passionate about the ones that my favs are singing tho, sorry!
Yuno:
Her new song seems to have toned down on the cutesy factor in comparison to her first song, likely reflecting her change of attitude in that she’s decided to stop putting up a facade and “embrace” her apathy in way. Lyrics further imply compensated dating but I gotta hear the full song and see the MV in order to see if the abortion theory still holds up.
I read a theory earlier today about how maybe it was more so Yuno was cheating on someone while doing compensated dating and like it made sense, but who’d she kill then? The abortion theory makes more sense in that regards (since people still believe abortion is a murder)
No doubt a bop song tho just like Umbilical and I’m looking forward to hearing the full thing in September after Haruka’s MV gets released.
She also gets to cover “Vampire” so YAY LETS GOOOO!! Of course she was gonna get Vampire as her cover tho, cuz come on, the innuendos just SCREAM Yuno, who is the closest prisoner you’re gonna get for that type of song
Mu:
New song is catchy just like her first one. I’m predicting it’ll be on loop once it comes out months, months later just like “After Pain” was. It’s a shame she’s literally singing about how her murder wasn’t her fault tho, she’s just setting herself up for a guilty vote.
It does make me sad tho. Before this, After Pain felt like a song that really spoke to those who were bullied. To those who desperately wanted to escape or needed help, the song spoke for them. It felt important, powerful. But now that Mu’s character is getting more revealed, it just doesn’t have that same hit anymore. That same “pain” I guess. Cuz now I can’t see her murder as something she did after being pushed to the brink and feel sympathetic about it, since now it looks more pre-mediated, as if she’d specifically planned to kill that girl if she didn’t get what she wanted from her instead of it just being in the moment. Feels bad to support her and then see that. Still a good song but it feels less powerful now.
Anyways, while I don’t like Mu so much anymore, I’m hype for her new song. She always happens to get the catchy ones and MAN do they get stuck in my head for a while. Might binge After Pain while I wait 🙈🙈
Kazui:
DEFINITELY DIFFERENT!! This one’s more swing compared to his power ballad the first time around (which is literally still struggling to hit 1M views). I like it, balances out “half” which is calming and relaxing, while this song is pretty upbeat and fun to listen to I’d say. He’d defo fit in with Cat’s Whisker from Paradox live tho, considering this new one’s called “Cat” and his type of voice.
You might as well slap me tho when I said I don’t think Kazui cheated cuz mans literally sings a lyric about cheating bruh 😭😭😭 can’t believe my fav DILF would betray me like this
In the meantime while I wait I might as well loop “half” just so it hits 1M and we get an Es cover of it finally. Kazui rights! (Kinda)
Amane:
Another cute song…???? I was expecting hardcore metal lolol. Tho I guess that fits into the horror of being indoctrinated into a cult. Doesn’t help that it’s called “Purge March” either. I like how catchy it is just like “Magic” and I’m anticipating the horror of her murder to be shown so childishly like in her first MV.
One of my favorite parts of the “Magic” MV was them casually showing the methods of torture used against her, treating it like it was normally. Can’t wait to see what they do with Purge March since the lyrics literally talk about strangulation. Maybe they’ll be more blunt about it this time around? Still voting her innocent tho. Guilty didn’t work.
Usually I don’t expect to like Amane’s songs but they grow on me. This one probs will too and I’ll probs put it on loop when it eventually comes out half a year later. Yay!
Kotoko:
Anyways her new song sounds like really similar to her first one? Not that it’s a bad thing cuz they both sound good, but it’s something to point out. Could be a hint. The instrumental for the new one tickles me so good tho. Aimi’s voice is slaying as always, so I’ll just fangirl about that 🥰🥰
It all hints that Kotoko kills as a vigilante because she feels that it’s her purpose. Without vigilantism, she has nothing apparently. Must be why she wanted to be Es’s ally so bad :P
Both songs are catchy but imma have to wait a LONG LONG LONG time for her MV and song to come out 💀💀😭😭 cuz she’s the last prisoner I gotta wait the longest to hear the full thing. But it’s okay 😢 I’ll just listen to HARROW while I wait I guess 😭😭

It's surprising how similar Kotoko's two songs are, really goes to show how basically nothing changed about her from getting a "forgive" judgement.
Her getting forgive only further solidified her ideas of justice (which led to her viciously beating the other unforgiven prisoners), and in the second song it sounds like she’s talking to someone else, which based off the lyrics could be Es “So i became YOUR fang” and “i’ve chosen the awaited hero” point towards this because kotoko said she beat up the guilty prisoners as a punishment on Es’s behalf, so she basically sees Es as her partner for enforcing her idea of justice.
@@connor3834 Oh there is zero world in which she isn't referring to Es: her new song is called *Deep Cover*, which is a direct parallel to Es's song from Season 1 being "Undercover". Not only that, but if you listen real closely you can make out the start of her next verse in the preview we got... and yup, it's the same "under" refrain Es had there.
Kotoko is straight up out here trying to take Es's role as protagonist (and making herself into the antagonist as a result), huh?
same thing with yuno- she also still has her codependency thing.
Im meh on most of the inno verdicra but Kotoko and Mu sure are gunning for most problematic lol
The inno vote in T1 definitely resulted in her being ahead of herself. It's clear that Kotoko intends to replace Es as the prison guard and apply her own sense of justice to Milgram. She even judges Es in the same way she judges the other prisoners in Deep Cover. At this rate Es might really be the 0th prisoner. What's their sin then? It breaks my heart to say this but we're to prepare our mind to see at least one death when the third trial begins (likely being Haruka or Mappi 😭). When Es' - our - verdicts result in deaths, it's no longer different from what Futa did. It's enough to make Es a prisoner of Milgram.

Lol all of them evil so its kotoko principle to return the pain the criminal done to their victim, like she beat a child abuser or the last one (the guy she killed) the politician kid who t**ture, r**e, and k**led his victim. So for sure she will try to beat even k*ll other prisoner afterall they all (including her) are a killer
I love the difference between the way Futa's voice actor said the original line and the new one. He sounds alot more emotional (in the song too tbh) and the difference between Mu and Haruka's new attitudes and their old ones are crazy.
I'd also add Mahiru to that, she sounds a lot more depressed and her song isn't quite as upbeat as before, understandable given not only did she get guilty but Kotoko nearly killed her
It's probably going to get her voted guilty, but I kind of can't help but still like Mu's new attitude. Like it's -incredibly- suspicious behavior on the surface, but when you've been bullied for so long and someone finally tells you that you were in the right, I think having a shit-eating little grin "see i was RIGHT all along" kind of attitude is... not immediate grounds to vote guilty?
Of course, it's gonna depend on what we learn from her music video, but I'm still a Mu defender for now at least.
It certainly helps that her theme is probably the one I'm most excited for.
I'm also wanted to add, that actually everyone we have seen after first trial have some changes, inside or outside. People that gotten an innocent seen pretty cheerful and Well-looking (also in their songs you can hear some more stubbornly and egoistic notes) while prisoners that gotten guilty have some traumas (also inside and outside, because kotoko hurt them and we said that they weren't right-you also can hear more agressive/sadly motives in their songs). That very interesting and still confusing to me, because we need more carefully give them inn/guilt. And I'm still wants to give forgiveness to all of them, because everyone have some troubles or difficult sisituations. No one of them is maniac or killed somebody just for fun, they all have pretty lively stories. Also I'm hope that nobody will killed-that the most worrying moment to me and I'm hope, that you will understand and forgive them. In other situation, where wi kill somebody, we will be like kotoko. I would wanted to not happen that☺

See, the heartbreaking thing about this project is that if we want everyone to be alive, we might have to mentally break some people so that they don't go out and kill some of the other participants. It's a moral dilemma on every level. If we vote everyone innocent, they might become worse and hurt the others, but if we vote them guilty they will have a mental breakdown and be attacked (or maybe even harm themselves in some cases, I can see that happening). Tbh I would be surprised if all of the characters survive until the end.
i'm really conflicted about haruka not being forgiven this trial - while i understand why people are voting that way, i have a feeling he's definitely going to self-harm in some kind of serious way since his mental state is all over the place . . . i voted innocent purely because i love him a lot and want to protect him lmao but i get how reinforcing his current mindset & co-dependency created by muu is a bad thing

Now that mikoto know he got voted Guilty, who's know... he said in the first trial song that if we (es) didn't forgive him he will beat the shit out of us. But i agree with you, i also want to vote kotoko Guilty buuuut again- we (es) could be dead without kotoko protection.

I have the theory that if Futa had come out innocent, he would be closer to Kotoko and maybe, he would have accompanied her in her beating of the "culprits" because they both have radical ideas about what justice is, especially about punishing the guilty . I think Futa would feel some admiration for her because she is someone who takes action against injustice.
Honestly i doubt he would help beat her up because in his voice drama he says looks down on people who uses violence along with his description which is he is overall a good guy self righteous and a coward
However i believe voting him guilty first trial is a good thing he is starting to snap out of his denial, honestly hope he gets inno overall

Since Futa's 2nd trial song and voice drama was release, I can just think that Futa may just admire Kotoko but the moment Kotoko tries to beat up the guilty, he might just say to her she is going too far. After all, it was clear he felt guilty in his 1st trial song then more clearer in the 2nd trial song even if he has his justice beliefs.

I really like how the songs don't sound like songs, but actual things a prisoner might say about their crime/they all sound like they're trying to explain what they're doing
also, reading your description and just wanted to add that Kazui's voice actor is actually in Paradox Live lol and is part of the Cat's Whiskers group if I'm not mistaken

Mikoto's 2nd songs kinda sound like the story from his evil side. Like, we know he have a dual personality disorder. The first trial song was his unconscious good self questioning his sin, believing he had done nothing wrong, and the first trial opens the good Mikoto's eyes about his evil side crimes. And in 2nd trial, the evil Mikoto try to reassure them both that he need to do want he had done (the killing etc) to protect the good & innocent side of Mikoto
So deep and base on the interrogation dialogue with Es , Kotkpko intervening and other milgram lore I legit love some good DID interpretation (then again violent alters or what is the other version of that person or basically an identity difference in memory and perception) yeah I wonder how people vote Mikoto

shidou, mikoto, futa and kazui spend their time together and kazui feels like he has to protect futa. but thinking about how he was talking about he has no right of being selfish then not help mahiru is funny also mikoto has more than one personality so of course it is hard to understand
current theory is that Mikoto's song is his alter talking to him. Now, the context is what really matters here, but it's what would make sense. Correct me if I'm wrong here, but a lot of alters are usually born in order to cope with traumatic experiences, right? Would make sense for his alter to see himself as Mioto's savior for maybe allowing him to live a normal life? Hard to say

i think mikoto's 2nd trial song is almost definitely the alter talking to trial 1 mikoto - in the milgram trailer for the 2nd trial we can hear mikoto screaming maniacally and cursing the other prisoners for being too loud, and threatening to beat them up too . . . even in the one line that mikoto says before the song preview the tone is completely different from his first trial, way more toned-down and heavy compared to oblivious and carefree mikoto from trial 1.

Im so excited because im sure we get to see the other Mikoto next trial... We're probably going to see the other one talking and I'm here for it. The whole angst it just amazing
The fact that Muu slay both trial 1 and 2
So hyped for Cat
Whom I am voting for (and potential reasons):
1. Haruka - guilty (kinda self explanatory)
2. Yuno - innocent
3. Futa - innocent (They haven't said whether or not its a best out of 3, which I am not willing to kill a kid whose actions lead to their death rather than someone who actually murdered)
4. Mu - innocent (Haruka is not stable and I guarantee he'll try to kill Yuno if shes voted guilty. Plus I feel like her song comes off as a 'somebody heard me out and I want to keep them forever'. I do worry for her being voted guilty as well since she had a mental breakdown and killed someone.)
Shidou- innocent only because I know people are gonna vote Mu guilty and he is gonna need to help whomever is attacked by Haruka. Otherwise, I would vote guilty.
Mahiru- innocent ofc. Idk why she was voted guilty in the first place. She has displayed more guilt in her interview than most of the people here.
Kazui- no clue atm. His second song is like really making me feel like he was trying to harm his wife when you add the context of the first song. Imma need more to find out tbh.
Amane- No clue. If we forgive her threats towards Shidou, will she be forgiven for her crimes or her bloodthirst. But the same thing as Futa, I don't wanna kill her when its family brainwashing her. So i am conflicted as she either dies or shidou might.
Mikoto- Conflicted as hell for the same reason as Futa.
Kotoko- guilty. Shes pretty much shown her hand when she almost killed Mahiru.
I think the thing about being guilty is that if someone is voted guilty, they're restricted, meaning that they won't be able to do anything. And obvi, innocent gives them more freedoms. It's the reason why Mahiru got messed up so bad by Kotoko (because Mahiru being guilty was restircted and Kotoko being innocent gave her more freedoms). That's why, for your point about Haruka and Mu being unstable, I think that a guilty vote for both of them would make sure that they are unable to harm anyone else. Same thing for Amane towards Shidou (even tho I really wanna vote her inno). Anyways, that's just my own theory! Thanks for the comment!!

I just wanna say, rather than attacking somebody else, Haruka said he'd kill himself if Mu got voted guilty (which she did), but with him being guilty too he'll be physically restrained so I'm not sure how much he can ACTUALLY do, if that affects your Shidou vote at all
@@nayabsanchez3972 The only thing abt this that worries me is that being voted guilty doesn't mean the restraints will 100% work. Mikoto was voted guilty last round, but rather than being restrained his alter acted as a wild card and freed him, preventing himself from being badly injured. So, by that logic, potentially anything goes when it comes to voting results because there's a chance we'll be completely blindsided by a factor we didn't consider-
Therefore, we need at least two guaranteed fighters to protect prisoners, and one healer in case anything goes wrong. In my opinion, trusting Mikoto is a gamble because of his unpredictability. I feel as though we can trust Shidou because when looking at his recent mv, you can see that he STILL believes he should be guilty despite the votes saying otherwise-he's even disgusted by being voted innocent. The only reason he allows himself to be alive is that "there are lives that need safeguarding" and I'm willing to die on the hill that he's not a shady guy lol. As for the others who have proven themselves to protect prisoners, I'm going to wait until the mv comes out...I don't want to end up pushing a character down a dark path...only exception is Amane, seeing as no matter what we do they might go down a dark path anyway (vote them innocent and they might believe their cultist actions are correct, vote them guilty and they become mentally unstable.) Really worried for the kiddo..
I belive that voting Kotoko guilty will either be worse or literally make zero difference, Kotoko firmly belives on her ideals and Im not sure if Es telling her "no I dont forgive you" will be enough for her to realize that she is wrong,in her t2 snippet she even sings "dont stop!" which implies that not matter what we say she will keep fighting for her ideals.
I belive that its more probable for her to either turn against Es/us ( and maybe harm the innocents because of that) but there is also the possibility that she will become absolutely devasted with it,since it seems that she sees Es as the "awaited hero" as she sings in her t2(I part from the beggining that on that part of the song she is talking about Es).
But voting her innocent will just afirm her ideals,which isn't a good idea either...so yeah were absolutely fucked lol, honestly if we could try and give her a 50/50,it would be perfect...but thats pretty much impossible, especially because most of the fandom is ready to make her the most guilty voted character on the next trial,so yeah...lets hope that her voice drama and the full song/MV help us decide what to vote her

I LOVE the way Deep Cover sounds! also seeing Haruka happy gives me life. also some side notes/things I've noticed.
1: On the milligram website all the prisoners who were voted innocent have new clothes.
2: As people have already pointed out, all of the guilty prisoners are beaten up (apparently by Kotoko) but Mikoto's clothing in particular interest me. Looking at the tatters It looks more like HE trying to break out of his prison clothes.
3: why is Mahiru more beat up than the other prisoners? did she do something to upset Kotoko? it's not visible here but in the full artwork, one of her legs appears to be injured as well as her arm.
All of them got new clothes, like Futa has a hoodie now
And that was aswered in their voice lines! All the guilty prisoners were attacked, but Mikoto was able to protect himself so he wasn't phisically injured and just his clothes got wrecked while unfortunately to Mahiru, Shindo and Kazui didn't arrive in time to save her before she was almost dying (Kazui said he feels bad for it, Mahiru only survived thanks to Shindo apparently), Futa was ok despite being injured and Amane was protected and not beaten up at all

ngl i want to vote Shidou innocent this time cause ppl would vote Mikoto guilty and I have a bad feeling for that one. Shidou is the only doctor there, right? cause i don't think Jackalope ever said anything about him or Es treating the prisoners' wounds, it must be Shidou's works. even if they do kill people, I don't want any of them died inside the prison ya know (which is highly impossible but we'll try).

I know it's been 3 months, but I just got into all of this last night. The problem with Amane and Shidou means that neither should be Innocent at the same time now. Amane hates Shidou because what he does is what she got punished for by her own cult. Either Shidou is Innocent and Amane is Guilty (preferred, although Shidou is a risk to himself), Amane is Innocent and Shidou is Guilty (might calm some things, although her song really just doesn't feel right), or both are Guilty so neither touch each other.

Now there is a reason for me to vote Mikoto innocent other than being attractive, lol (just kidding guys TvT). This is just a hunch, but I really think that Mikoto is innocent because just as he said or looks in the second trial, he was just saving someone but he was brought to Miligram, which is why he is asking why is he there in the first trial. Others thought he has this other self of him that drove him to do murder or something, but he was just actually saving someone. But the last part of his first trial is very fishy (the part where he is like threatining us to vote him innocent and showed a tarot card that symbolizes death and punched us right after?). So, I think for now, I'll patiently wait for the third trial or think about it thoroughly before voting.
