On the 20-23 models I have found it a lot easier to install if I remove the piece that rubs the linkage that’s held on by two Allen bolts before bolting the 4 bolts that attach the skid plate to the frame. After installing them it’s easy to bend the flap down and reinstall the piece that rubs the linkage.
Whoa! Where can I learn more about this new combo map switch? I'm very interested in understanding details on the capability and set up... I have an SX1 on my 2021 501S
These ultimate build bikes are works of art!! I absolutely love mine. Couple of observations from my experiences: the tall screen on the taco tower will smack you in the chin if you ride on the balls of your feet in a forward position. The headlight cover is not sealed well and it gets extremely dusty/dirty. If you are considering having an Ultimate build make sure you get all your bugs worked out before you leave the shop. I live 5hrs away and wish I would have been more persistent in getting the electrical bugs worked out in the tower. Not a big deal but frustrating.
Mike! As with any tower some dust may accumulate on the back of the light lenses. Luckily those are easy to remove and clean when needed There’s two screen sizes, tall - which is what this on is and short. Sounds like you might be wanting to grab one of those. Let’s do a FaceTime on that accessory charging issue, or better yet next time you’re through Vegas on an adventure stop by and we’ll sort that out. We also need to make your build video too! See you at the next dusty lizard by chance?
@@TACOMOTOCO 100% the light is super easy to clean. I normally just take off the windshield which does look goofy. I’m doing a 5 day Sierra trip next week. I’m going to switch back to stock and see if I can get power. Not having a GPS is a problem
Can you run the moose on the highway? Have read the old versions heat up and melt... I have the KTM 350 EXCF which gets 50% road/highway use but have a pretty offroad build otherwise.
I think the grafics need to continue onto the front light and the hand guards. Other than that, perfecto.. 👌 👍
That Molecule skid plate is a pain the first couple times, Heat gun is your friend! Great Build!!

This has all the gadgets for what I’d add for my 501. I just need a deeper wallet.
Baja Designs have a dot fog light. I’ve got ‘em on my truck. Squadron sport I think.
nice build
Justl like mine. Plus I have Recluse clutch 4.0 and navigation tablet Carpe Iter. From Italy. And of course the Magic oil magnetic filter Taco.
Great video - love watching the bike builds.
What are the other taco moto electronics you keep referencing?

If you had to choose an ultimate dual sport/super Moto, would you go for a KTM Husqvarna or a beta and which model ?
You up on Durango homeboy?
It’s actually called KTM XW-F. I have the 350 version.
Nice catch, thanks
@@TACOMOTOCO Hell yes. Lots of damn models to remember plus it’s brand new name for 2024. Keep pushing out the great vids and mods
Is that new SX1 map switch also have traction control ability? Or do you still need to run the tc dial?
This switch does TC management so no need for the knob
I have the SX1 ECU for the ‘23 Husky from you, is the map switch available for that setup?

How many moose balls do you run in front and rear.
All that come in the box. We like a ‘fully inflated’ feel
The real weel package on this bike, was worth it ?
Sorry not sure what this question is asking
Hilarious. Depending on how late Mike was riding, still too hot for me to even think about riding... Once it hits 80ish, I'm out!
