    Evn'n Johnno, you know me, i would dearly love to fall in love with these boats simply because their range and redundancy are second to none but......i still cannot come to terms with their interiors. All wood with a caravan look. Trust me, if ever i see one with an alternative interior, you will be the first to know.

    Super Vid , thanks my friend 👍👍👍 , no discussion about the design , its really great made ! Pirate radio is a stunnig yacht , a eay catcher . Also the MTU's engine is a good choice for this ship .

    At $6 million and thirteen years old it's a nice boat but the Bering 77 is just as capable and in my humble opinion far superior and cheaper.

      And it's a steel hull and in my opinion got a better layout, ease of working in the mechanical room.

    Before I'd even consider a Nordhavn built much past 2007 or so, I'd want a full survey done by a qualified marine surveyor. After seeing the condition that Aurora (N120) was delivered, and all the deficiencies, best practice failures, and outright safety violations that Nordhavn's own surveyor found, I am very, very skittish on the brand. Especially for a GRP hull.
    That said, it looks beautiful though I'm not a fan of the master stateroom being on the bridge deck, I much prefer a sky lounge. Long trips are going to have everyone rubbing shoulders, and having extra space to distance from others would be worth its weight in gold.

    • @hfinnelly1807
      @hfinnelly1807 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      the 120 was a edge case, it doesnt represent the rest of the brand at all]

    • @kfeltenberger
      @kfeltenberger 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@hfinnelly1807 The deficiencies shown on the videos that the surveyor created show something more than just "an edge case". A new boat had spaces and finish that looked like it was 10-15 years old and worked hard. There were serious issues and they don't just crop up in a one-off...Maybe Nordhavn has cleaned up their act and is operating in a fiscally responsible manner, but before I would spend any money, I'd want proof of what I'd be buying. Especially when a company like Bering is producing something of equal capability with the benefit of a steel hull, not GRP.

    • @dehaviland7645
      @dehaviland7645 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I have to agree.
      Steel hull seems from my viewpoint a helluva lot better. Interior wise it's a matter of personal taste, but I prefer the Bering.

      The attitude of management must go across all boats. Wouldn’t touch one after seeing nordharvenfacts!
      Luckily I can’t afford one anyway.

    • @kfeltenberger
      @kfeltenberger 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@gavinmarshall9950 That's the site that really opened my eyes. It's a shame...I hope that their quality has returned, but I think it's telling that with the 120' market being somewhat popular, they haven't built another 120 since Aurora.

    You need to quote the range if you claim a vessel to be a world travelling explorer yacht. The Pacific is a big ocean to cross.

    • @YachtBuoy
      @YachtBuoy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I agree - whenever the data re the range is published then I always include the data. But the listing for this boat did not include it.

    Hull is fiberglass. This means if a guest drops a cigarette she will burn down to the water line in ten minutes. No fiberglass hulled boat is a "world traveler." If you hit a semi submerged shipped container in the middle of the Atlantic, you probably wouldn't have time to get into the lifeboat before she went down.

      @@idanceforpennies281 I think some were built in China; some may still be built there, but I thought they moved some production to Turkey, maybe for the small newer 41's. But yes, they are foreign made.
