Haha, I know what you mean. Before moving here I didn't know much about the province, apart from driving through as a child (until I met my partner of course). There is something about this province that is just amazing!
Born and raised Saskatchewan man here. Thank you so much for this bud!! Open invitation to you should you want a tour guide to some of the most incredible things this province has to offer
Hi Jack, great video! I have lived here now over 10 years, and I totally agree with you. I first moved to Northwest Sask Battlefords and loved it, the small rural communities were my favourite, lifelong friends made, met my partner and married in 2017, 3 kids and four cats later, bought our forever home, went to teacher's college at the UofS, now teaching Gr.6 Homeroom my second year in PA. I visited every province except Labrador and Nunavut Territory. But everytime I passed through Saskatchewan, it was my favourite, and just knew it was home. I lived in Nova Scotia 10 years prior, and it was wonderful too, the people are so wonderful too, but traded the ocean for the Big Living Skies and haven't looked back. I was born in southwestern Ontario in small farming communities, so Sask feels so much like home, and IS, but so much more laid back and simple! ❤ Hope our paths cross at some point, we have much in common 😊
Thanks so much for watching! I’m in North West Saskatchewan. I’m about an hour from Saskatoon and an hour from the Alberta border. Both places are pretty great, it just depends on the type of life style you want.
@@jackincanada163 Thanks for the reply. I like the look of Maple Creek. Looks like a nice simple lifestyle with just what you need for a small town. Also the winters, although still very cold, are not as severe as a lot of other areas in Saskatchewan. As much as I like so many places in Saskatchewan, it's probably unrealistic that I'll ever move there but can always dream.
@@guyfawkes055 Maple Creek is a pretty awesome place. For sure! Never say never about moving to Saskatchewan, though. I never would have thought 5 years ago I would be living in SK :)
I'm local to you in England and considering moving. I think its between Alberta and Saskatchewan at the moment. How have you managed to handle / get used to the -35 weather last week?!
Hey, That’s awesome! Thanks for watching. Saskatchewan and Alberta are both great province. I think the main thing is having the appropriate clothing for the weather. I found it actually want that bad, as long as you’re prepared. Snow boots are a must when you move here! 😊
it wasn't that bad; we moved here from northern Ontario in September. Bought a house in Tramping Lake ; no mortgage and 3/4 of an acre of land surrounded by beautiful fields and no traffic. 25 min to town and the friendliest people on earth
That sounds beautiful! I've never been to Tramping Lake but it looks stunning. I also couldn't agree more with Saskatchewan having some of the most friendliest people in the world :)@@tracymorrison1584
Hi, May I share the most important news you will ever hear in your entire life? God the Father sent His holy Son Jesus Christ(Y'shua Ha' Mashiach) from heaven to earth, to be born of a virgin. He grew up and died on the cross for our sins. He was put into a tomb for 3 days, and then Abba Father raised Jesus to life and He appeared to people and went back to Heaven. We must all sincerely receive Jesus to be a true child of God. It says in John 1:12 "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name." Will you genuinely believe on Christ Jesus and truly receive Him today, before it is too late?
I have lived in Saskatchewan my whole life. I'm thinking of moving to another country but it's not because Saskatchewan isn't great, it's because the Canadian government sucks
This province isn't that great, if you want to walk downtown in any of the cities and be harassed by homeless junkies, the potential to be stabbed or shot just walking down a street. There's a growing chance for home invasion.. not to mention the cost my power bill for a tiny 1 bedroom apartment and I don't own a tv is between 100 and 130 a month!! Cost of food is ridiculous, I'm in Edmonton for the week and the price differences at the two different Walmarts I couldn't believe how much cheaper things are here! Sask has gangs and drug violence on the rise that no one obviously wants to talk about or even admit it seems.
Welcome Jack , love that you picked us up, we love it here ❤❤
Love living in Saskatchewan, but I really don’t want too many more people here. We have always been the well-kept secret that I treasure.
