Man that ending hit.... the last lines talking about losing people and dedicating it to James Earl Jones AND having vader in the same episode ;_;. Cinema
right in the feels.
See this brings me hope!!... Star Wars is not dead, it's just dormant ❤
Right? I wasn’t expecting that level of feels at 6:30 in the morning.
@@madelinegarber7860 for me it was 9am CST, have to admit, tearing up a little 😢
@@AVeg-f2k yep know the feeling. EST for me.
“Let me clarify. Putting it out of my mind doesn’t mean forgetting about it. It just means filing it in a dark section of my brain labelled Payback”
I love it. All the confirmation we need that FKU is only staying to keep an eye on FNG and 069.
That's how we deal with loss and distance .
Badass
I actually cried at the end. You cant do that to this old vet
I'm not a vet but I shed a tears too. The way he keeps tabs on what's going on with FNG and chose to spend the day with him but did not bring it up himself. That's love. That's the highest order of looking out for your brothers love.
Same. Have loved this series since day one.
I hear you, bro.
Watched episode 4 a hundred times or more, these short films give me that same feeling 47 years later 🙏
Now when I say I push it from my mind I don't mean I forget more like I store it in a dark corner under the label of payback that line hit hard.
"you hyperventilated ambulatory sex toy!" bro that got me laughing like crazy
Makes you wonder what would happen if someone DID just start mashing the buttons on Vader's chest-plate? Well, up until they got thrown into a wall and/or force-choked...
“Is there a button here that makes your head vibrate” 😂
The stormtrooper yelling at Vader was hilarious 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I’d like to believe that his inner Anakin would think „damn this trooper must have a really bad day, but he has balls, let’s just get out of the elevator and forget about this” but then he had to bring his mother into this and Vader took over again 😅
dude I just started laughing once he said anything lol
FKU was lucky Vader didn't force choke him to death after yelling at him like that! LOL!!! Another great episode and nice touch honoring the legendary James Earl Jones!
@@DJStatexFreudIanSlipThe trooper never said a word to Vader. He was just fantasizing about saying all that. Go watch it again.
@@philosopher0076 Yes! You have to wonder, though... Vader would have sensed the emotions, right?
Really enjoy how a comedy is starting to get more and more serious
That's just good storytelling. Introduce your characters slowly with light-hearted fun to get your audience hooked before you take them down into the depths.
It's a lost art, honestly.
Viva La Dirt League's TechTown series also has had this happen too.
Viva La Dirt League's TechTown series also has had this happen too.

Epic, dudes. Helluva gut punch.
"What's a chicken anyway?"
"I think it's some kind of duck."
Lmao I love this series 🤣
It's just a space duck. Such a majestic creature.
@@supernerd8067 didn't expect to see a DBZ abridged reference here
@kyle21843 now that I think about it, maybe I should have made a Howard the Duck joke since George Lucas made that.
"... we all got a chicken-duck-woman thing waiting for us" (Bushes of Love).
From Babylon 5: "Vir, what is that creature the Earthers talk about, webbed feet, goes 'quack?' " "Londo, I think they're called 'cats.'" "Yes! It's like I'm being nibbled to death by cats!!" 🤣
"I know son I've been keeping tabs on you"
God I love that. He may not show it but FKU does care about him.
This is the soul of Star Wars. It may be laying dormant for now, underneath all of the shit from the past decade. But clear all that away, and it will return. One day. May the Force be with you
Star Wars is Star Wars, because of the fans. We know the real thing when we see it. The beacon that cast shadows in the light of twin suns was destroyed, but fickering lights hide in the darkness.
Absolutely. Like he says it needs sunlight on it to spring back to life.
Just like Anakin Skywalker underneath Darth Vader.
Underneath all of the shit from the last two and a half decades.
Just bulldoze the crap Disney built over the franchise. And yes, Kyle Katarn did exist.
The Vader daydream was hilarious
Plus, since Force sensitive people can basically read your emotions, Vader knew EXACTLY what was going on in that trooper's head ! Good on him for letting it go.
@@pierre-mariecaulliez6285
Vader: "Get that out of your system trooper? Is this where you want to die?"
This has me more interested in starwars than the actual franchise.😂
Yeah, yeah, better than SW modern. That's true.
Disney, just look at this, for Christ sake...
Even... ADK doing a full feature short. We can dream.
The Best Star Wars is always about the people. Disney just doesn't understand that, it's more about he gimmicks and how many they can sell.
Truth!
FR the last beach on Coruscant's lowest level was such and interesting lore bit!
This is good. He knew exactly why he sought him out. So he took him to a quiet place to talk.
Thanks. I didn’t get that. Wow. That put a lump in my throat.
As far as I'm concerned you, guys are Star Wars' legacy now. This was amazing.
That ending, beautiful..
Honestly you guys managed to put in more character development in these tiny clips than most full length movies manages to do to a single character over their run time.. Absolutely love it... And now you starting to pull on our heartstrings as well.. Such a great series 💖
Brilliant writers
Dear Peter,
You and your crew have lifted the bar to a height that the 'creatives' at Disney can't begin to conceive. Simply outstanding.
Frank.
I back you guys on that, and with the AFK series; please bring it back!!
@@SirDurpal0t are they not going to make a season 3? 😢
Man I love theese star wars from AFK, so much better than the disney stuff
@@silentdeath7847 I sure hope so, they've been working on the comics but it's been so long since they're released any AFK content
@@SirDurpal0t man i really hope they make a season 3 and more. I have really liked what i've seen so far. I was so worried one of em died after the AT-AT scene😂
@@silentdeath7847 I'm talking about the show called AFK, go check it out in their playlist it's hilarious, the pilot episode is a little rough but once everyone gets into character the show is excellent
Sarge just losing it at Vader and saying everything he wants to say got me good! Thank god it was all in his head, Vader is never going to have a “Normally I’d kill you, but your strength of character in standing up to me has impressed me so much I’ll let it slide this one time.” moment.
Also, I think the little peak of fear at the end remembering Vader would absolutely nuke him if he did probably helped his chances.
Actually, Vader has been friendly and sympathetic to a couple of stormtroopers, so he might have been ok here, if not for the 'mother' comment.
Dang. The "wanna talk about it?" at the end and then the unexpected dedication made me tear up a bit
For the Empire is the closest thing the the official star wars that i have ever watched. This is great.
I just love how human these characters feel. They're always under a mask, but they're so memorable. I felt bad for TK-FNG when he admitted he lost everyone in his missions and chokes up a little. He saves it until they're down there to be vulnerable when it's just them, and it's heartwarming how TK-FKU calls him son despite how much annoyed him. Sounds like you're really watching a story about a guy who's just seen it all and tried hard to not break because of it. Puts on a strong exterior, and in the end, he's willing to empathize and remind his troops he cares. I think having them all in a mask puts a lot of that into perspective. Doesn't matter that they all look the same or just have assigned code names instead of real names, they're still human (or whatever race they are but you get the point).
They're Human!
And I gave your comment a like 🙂
Not what I was expecting. I was expecting cute and awkward, with 69.
This was better. Thank you. What this series has done from day one compared to the Diss canon is like beating a cabbage patch doll with a 2x4. Thank you for honoring James Earl Jones, and thank you for honoring the bucketheads.
Oh this was so so much better. I live for FKU and FNG.
Vader can’t read minds but he could feel every ounce of anger building inside FKU. Probably thinks “Hey this trooper could be useful.”
Yo 🇦🇴 since it's Vader I'm just imagining that part being some kind of force correction warning serg "if you do this..." and then it hit Vader 😂
Doesn’t Vader read Luke’s thoughts in Jedi to realise that he has a sister? I think he can when someone is particularly emotional.
@@BillyZeroWrestler Its a bit more nuanced than that. Luke and Vader were actually communicating telepathically. When emotions run a high in someone it’s easier for somebody like Vader or Palpatine to read their Primal thoughts.
Love the droid companion just going with everything.
Yeah it reminds me of R2D2 following around Luke everywhere.
With the R2 hat ta boot ❤😂
Just makes me wonder if Droids pick people they like and roll with it while being petty with other people. Much like a Cat.
@@GoodBoyGoneDadfun fact this droids name is R5-DV
@@Akutenshi1990 Oh, you mean like Chopper who's just petty with everybody?
These episodes are part of a few flickers of a candle that is my love for Star Wars.
Yes, and It prove to woke weirdo that you can put two guys and having an actual Deep Moment, without touching the all left-agenda whatsever..That's definitely demented Rebel propaganda
🎉For the Empire is my favorite Star Wars series of all time and is 100% cannon in my head.
"cannon"? It's 100% catapult in mine... ;-P
One of the reasons that I love this so much is that it can coexist with the so-called regular cannon. It doesn't disturb it, and honestly it's better than the so-called regular cannon. I've always had a fascination and an interest in the undercurrent stories in famous works.
“I didn’t know it was that loud. I can’t hear a damn thing in this helmet.”
I think you mean,"canon." But yes, I agree.
Don't say its cannon, Disney will just take it over and remake it for modern audience. Srg. will be a black female and 69 will be a gay guy. (I really shouldn't give them ideas)
Love what you are doing can't get enough.
I second that
Dear Peter,
The Sgt's comments about 'payback' and it being 'easier to kill a Kray Dragon from the inside' caught my attention. In fact, his whole speech about the beach waiting to come back to life following the removal of '10,000 years of peace and order,' makes me think there's a major story coming.
I can't wait.
Frank.
@AFK OMG That ending!!! What an incredible sentiment too. Despite everything heaped on top of that beach, all it needs is the Light, & it would flourish & come to life again. I see that as a metaphor for Star Wars & its current state. If the creators of this video ever see this, thank you for this series, & I hope you continue to do make more. Writing, acting, everything is supreme!! Cheers from a fan & subscriber in Toronto Ontario Canada, & May the Force Be With You!!
Amazing what intelligent writers can do. Disney is creatively bankrupt.
That. Was. Awesome.
Man you can feel the emotions without seeing their face. This is miles better than the Acolyte and I bet it didn’t cost $200 million dollars.
I haven't cared about star wars since the original 6.
Used to make fun of people desperately fighting for it as Disney and others picked over its corpse...
Kinda thought it was just me growing up.
Turns out there is a part of me that still loves it. This series has proven that to me.
Keep going.
Turns out there is still beauty here. It's just dormant.
It only dies if everybody surrenders it. Like I had done.
You earned a channel membership. I've never joined a channel before, but you earned it
That means a lot mate .. Thank you.
It amazes me that all of this is computer generated but the voices. More please
We use zero AI too. All is hand animated in Unreal Engine 5 using elements available on the internet through the UE5 Marketplaces.
I have many times caught myself wondering how much the sets and props cost.

Y’all’s series is such a breath of fresh air. Please don’t go woke like everyone else who finds success.
That was the moment that made me realise how messed up that planet is. They display the tallest mountain’s tip, just to show off how tall their cities are. An amazing allegory of pride. It is more important to those who had the city built, that they are seen as powerful and influential than it is to care about life.
Of course they don’t want tourists seeing the bottom of the city. Because people will see the absence of life and realises the city is its coffin.

Waiting for Part 2...RIP James Earl Jones. Hope you enjoy your galaxy far, far away. You will always be Vader to us. Much love and eternal respect.
I'm SO excited for another installment of "FOR THE EMPIRE"!!!
I get to watch the new one then rewatch ALL the other ones!!!
The vets and the homoerotic humor is spot on.
9:23 The dedication, kind of hit hard! Remind me when I was little the first time I seen a dedication at the end of Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers for Donald Pleasence! Eight-year-old me real realizing our time is limited! So don’t waste it, spend it on something good like watching AFK!!!
This is where the fun begins!
Oh Kyle, you are going to LOVE this one.
Kyle Katarn MENTIONED!
TKFNG is TKFKU's innocent self long lost.
We are hoping to reveal a bit more of TK-FKU's backstory in upcoming episodes.
@@DALLASBARNETT You do the old vet so well, and the writing hits hard.
@@VadulTharys I'm old, bitter and burnt-out IRL too
I am reminded of Team Four Star, and their focus on humor, but capacity to tell unique and thoughtful stories as the show progressed.
Good stuff man, good stuff
This keeps getting better and better... Thanks for this master piece...!!!
That ending...
This is one of the channels where I know I can hit like the video right away without needing to watch it yet
This series is possibly the best Star Wars stuff I've seen in about 2 decades.
Just watched this again: There's some grit in my eye, beautiful.
The plot thiccen's!
exactly.
The ending was really great. I nearly teared up.
Hat's off to James Earl Jones. He *was* Darth Vader.
Most amazing voice ever
Keep this coming! The foreshadowing is growing intense. Humor is still there, but the drama is growing apace. This really is the best Star Wars content out there for a good long while.
Thank you so much :)
"I know son, I have been keeping tabs on you". That line is enough to make anyone shed a few tears. Even though they have all been separated, and hit was going through a tough time, he still wanted to lookout for his buddy. Regardless of being part of the Empire or Rebellion, it shows that we really do need each other.
Forget all the star wars comparisons.
This is a great series, and this episode was one of the most touching things I've seen in a long time. Keep up the great work.
"Though some go curving down the trail
To seek a warmer scene.
No Trooper ever gets to Hell
Ere he’s emptied his canteen.
And so rides back to drink again
With friends at Fiddlers’ Green." - Fiddler's Green. My fav of the series yet.
Damn. That ending got me chills
Man, that ending. You can hear FNG’s voice just barely wavering when he says he lost his guys. FKU knows & when FNG asked him about losing people? That’s when he knew to take him somewhere where he could talk about it openly. No one down there to listen in.
Just perfect.
Finally, absolute cinema
I LOVE "For the Empire". Should be everybody's head canon, also if you haven't watched "The Talky Orcs" what have you been doing with your life?
Did you notice how familiar the Jedi in the dunking booth looked?
RIP James Earl Jones, your powerful voice is echoing through Heaven now.
Thank you for this episode AFK and may the Force be with you.
You guys continue to make content that actually better than the crap they are currently making. You have turned a parody into something incredible. Not a lot of people can do that, you have truly accomplished something amazing.
Beautiful episode, love their arc
Rest easy james earl jones... your voice inspired millions...
If this was 10 years ago, I'd say imagine Dave Feloni getting his hands on these characters for an animated series. However sadly the main franchise is dead in the water for the forseeable future. So little things like these videos are refreshing and reminder of what was. :)
I still have hope for the franchise cause stuff like this shit I manage to reignite a friends faith in star wars cause a DnD game I run set in star wars
Dave Feloni would just have them making stupid jokes before they get killed effortlessly.
@@revolrz22 i think they mean when Dave Feloni actually had any self respect for him self and respect for star wars
"However sadly the main franchise is dead in the water for the forseeable future."
To quote the sarge: Welcome to the 1990's son.
@@jacobpickens2283 I would argue that he never did. At least, my first exposure to his work was the Clone Wars cartoon, and that was so anti-stakes that it actually helped take the wind out of my sails about Star Wars even after years of being the most die-hard fan.
That was really good stuff. A little bit of comedy, a little bit of drama, then they hit you with the heart felt words of loss in combat. Kinda makes you feel sorry for the Empire troopers.
Every one of these videos is such a delight. Every time I see a short vid or a trailer, I get all quivery and giddy, like a hamster with his dish newly refilled!
The writing in this was exquisite.
You just KNOW Vader could sense his anger (and fear) ! 😂
I went from laughing, to getting comfortable , to nearly letting an emotional side get over me..... a tear broke free from the aqueducts and started running down the side of my face
that final part hit so hard
OMG! I have absolutely LOVED the past vids on this story and I am SOOOO hyped for this one! Disney shout learn a thing or two from you guys!

RIP Mr James Earl Jones of Arkabutla, Mississippi 🥀
Epically Brilliant. The way this whole series has matured just blows me away ❤
This is such a wonderful gift to all us viewers. Thank you for sharing your talents
Ducks are canonically an animal in the star wars galaxy. I think in the novelization of a new hope obi wan mentions ducks learning how to swim as an analogy to training Luke i think.
I believe Naboo also has ducks.
@@AmazingMrMe123 did they show up in the movie? Also, I think Luke asked "what is a duck" when obi wan made his analogy.
@@AmazingMrMe123 according to wookiepedia, they originated from naboo. Also, rubber ducks are a thing in the star wars universe as well, there is a crate of them in dark forces.
Space ducks. Such majestic creatures.
Or Howard the Duck is in the Imperial Senate.
He does.
This was absolutely superb! Story and dialogue will always win over flashy over-done special effects every time, and this has both in spades.
OK, that did it. That pushed me over the edge. I have now signed up for your Patreon. After over a year of watching all your videos multiple times and caring more for these "Bucketheads" then 99% of the characters Hollywood has given us these last 10 years, you got me. This series just keeps getting better.
"Sweet fragments of Alderaan!!" Have to remember that one.
Wow! That last part, showing a "beach" of Coruscant. This should be canon!
Far as I’m concerned… it is.
This was nice. Just a couple of grunts spending the day together. Slice of life shows are underrated in established universes.
It's like everything Tales Of the Empire should be. Stories worth telling but not necessarily of the grandeur of movies.
@@AmazingMrMe123 agreed.
I like how you guys combine Legends and Disney era characters and concepts.
It's all Star Wars, innit?

I hope these voice actors are getting paid. Academy award winning.

Their powers have doubled since the last time we met, Count.
Good, twice the quality, double the enjoyment.
Cannot remember if I already commented. Oh well here is another. Every “For the Empire” vid has been excellent! Each gets better and the AFK Star Wars universe expands farther. “Bro? Son?”
This episode was way more thought provoking than i expected.
Very well done AFK.
Amazing technology will never surpass a great story. Love these films and your work, but the story is the best part.
this hit home
reminds me of my husband talking to his father both combat veterans from different times both reflecting on lost brothers-in-arms. I see the pain in both their eyes but i’m glad my husband’s father is still around and both are teaching our son that there’s no shame in feelings.
Don’t forget anything always hold it in your heart and don’t let it destroy you.
Amazing as always, this is my new favorite star wars series, I get the feeling FKU is not going to desert as they keep hinting at possibly happening, but stays simply to destroy the Empire from the inside, I think he lost someone close before under him which must be what broke his faith in it, possibly a real son, and TNG reminds him of that person he lost or conects with him because he is not a blind fool like the rest willing to die for the Empire, he is just a dumb kid that does not even know why he joined.
There are some backstory snippets we will be weaving in over the course of the show. Keep your eyes open, they will probably be subtle. ;)
That hit different.
"There are heroes on both sides.”
Including these two. Best story I've seen since the Mando S2 finale. Thank you.

If I could afford to join the patreon for these guys I would. Because damn I absolutely LOVE this series. I won’t lie I cried a little at this one.
just a share to your networks is appreciated
I didn't expect this to be a bit emotional but wow. Very well done.
BEST ONE YET!
I know it's supposed to be satire, but you've managed to find the essence of STAR WARS. Well done sir, well done!
Best episode so far, not enough Stormtrooper stuff out there, but this is by a long way, the BEST! 🤘🏼
Dude this hit me so hard. I've been grieving the loss of a good friend, weeks after my aunt was hospitalized. Thank you for reminding me to speak to people. We all need a good storm-trooper. :)
Wow! Just wow! This video has better writing than most of Disney Star Wars right now!
Still the best Star Wars around!! I agree with a previous posting. That last scene. Just can't do that to an old vet. Keep up the good work.
Seeing Sgt roast Dark Vader is probably one of the most funny things I have ever seen in my life 😂😂😂
This has effort and homage to Star Wars than what Disney has been producing lately. This was AMAZING ❤️
