- Right in the heart of the UK, just outside of Birmingham, there lies the almost-twin of THIC Brian Scotto's Rauh-Welt Porsche 965: this Porsche 911 Turbo belonging to Phil Morrison of Driftworks. Built by the Japanese Porsche engine house Promodet, and of course Nakai-san himself, then purchased and modded by Phil in the later years. This Rauh-Welt car gets driven with no mercy, just as it should.

What on earth is a rolls Roy's?
The 911 has the most beautiful and most timeless silhouette when it comes to any car. And I appreciate that this RWB build doesn’t take away from those classic lines, some of his builds can but alittle much in my opinion.
Arguably, IMO RWB doesn't take away from silhouette, rather enhancing it in a wild way, since all kits are inspired by Porsche race cars. But yeah, smooth fenders are really great on this one.

It's one of those perfect cars. This showcases the craftsmanship that Japanese shops put in their work. It really brings the culture to life.
...and on a German car nonetheless.
This might be my favorite RWB out there. Somewhat subtle, molded fenders, not too crazy, but crazy fast. Yes.
One of my favorite RWB cars. I love the smooth fenders as opposed to the bolted on look. Baller photographer status when you're standing in a convertible RR hurtling down the road shooting an RWB Porsche cruising next to you. I guess I'll be looking at Porsche's on Craigslist for the rest of the day...

I love how for so many of Larry's shoots the backdrop is some amazing scenery in LA or out in the desert near Vegas, but for arguably one of the most beautiful cars he's done it's the mean streets of Birmingham lol. Driftworks keeping it real!
This is the best of all RWB(-sort of) cars. I love the smooth fender job and the fact it has no name.
I saw RWB’s painting room in Japan on another video. He was saying he had painted around 500 cars in there (although it was an employee painting off course). I guess they know a thing or two about painting!

This is one of the only RWB cars I like because it has real bodywork instead of the riveted on BS. AND IT ISN'T A 965. A 964 Turbo is a 964 Turbo. 965 was on some of the parts numbers of the car but the 965 was an abandoned Porsche project utilizing a V8, (watercooled Audi V8 is in the Porsche museum). This is a widely spread misnomenclature.
Very true on 965/964. People seem to think the 964 Turbo is a 965. Thank you for clafifying. Amazing car though.

I restore classic Porsches for a living, I usually hate the RWB cars but this one really does it for me. I like that it doesn’t have those ugly volt on truck fenders.

Jaguar Project 8 is definitely up there, but when Audi introduced that little drop of fuel into the exhaust of the RS6 they changed the game.

Back in the day I used to love the smooth curves of the 993 the most. However after all this time I just adore the 964 most of all. The shape is so classic and right. From the upright lights to the sexy rear arches. Perfection.

My favorite RWB was Brian's. It was mad yet clean, and it's not a crazy color. But wow, smooth fenders makes a big difference. Someone can't tell if it's not a OEM Porsche. Its like a cooler RSR. And SIlver just makes it better.
There was a Turbo S GT LM 964 with smooth wide fenders and tall wide wing (not the GT2 993 wing tho)

Larry you gotta talk to the actual guy not the camera. It's weird when you're addressing him but talking to the camera, makes it feel so like you're not engaging him. Nonetheless, quality car and video 👍
I've been thinking about how weird it must be to be mid-conversation with him and then he turns away and talks to you while taking a selfie. A lot of people look super awkward waiting for him to turn back to them.

I am pretty sure a true Porsche 965 was a concept car with a Audi v8 kinda was supposed to be a cheep 959 that never got made. Just few concepts that got crushed tho one is still supposed to be alive

I dislike a lot of RWB for being done badly (like no rust-protection on cuts/holes), or for the cars getting some super-low suspension that prioritizes looks over performance.
