Is Tiamat still susceptible to death magic in the pixel remaster? Is so, while not quite the spirit of the challenge, you could have still one shot it. Unless you need the class upgrade to get those spells. Chaos is also susceptible to the 'fear' spell which can one shot him (misses don't count as attacks), but that might be white magic.
Class upgrade would be needed to use death magic. I didnt bother to try a class upgrade and see if i was able to deal more dmg with the physical attack since the str maxes out at 255 anyways, so it wouldnt of made any difference.
I tried that with 1x Red white Black Wizard each + 1x Knight and no I had the instant kill effect moves NOT kill that boss in the Pixel remaster as for Fear its a White magic one I almost NEVER use since in the Pixel remaster it almost NEVER works even on any of the normal random encounter enemies even at lv 99.
@@veghesther3204 Fear was pretty useless in the original version, too, on multiple levels. It just had the amusing effect that it had a 1% chance or so of working on the final boss, thus letting you save the day by making Chaos run away from you.
As for the other versions Fear still never worked on bosses via the PS1 PSP GBA versions either and almost never worked on the normal enemies but the PSP/GBA versions kept spell levels but ditched the MP charge system and used actual MP stats.

I'm not sure if the attack formula was changed between the psp and pixel. But, if it's the same, you needed to cast Saber more. When I was doing my 4 red mages run-through, I didn't know that the was a cap on strength. So I was just casting giants gloves and temper over and over again, and something I realized was by constantly casting Saber, it was also raising my accuracy. And your accuracy effects how many hits you do. I was using a save state and after every round, I'd attack, if it wasn't a 1 hit kill. I'd load the save, and cast another round. Eventually I started hitting for 18 hits, then 20. So if you can raise your accuracy more, if it's still the same formula from the psp, you could gain more hits and one hit kill. Try it out, let me know if it's still the same formula. You may be able to raise your accuracy enough to get enough hits to 1 shot

Temper Stacking is probably the most broken thing in Final Fantasy 1. The Final Fantasy II equivalent berserk, even more so, Its why future Final Fantasy title don't give out simple attack buffs at least when they were using multiple hits or multipliers in the Snes titles. Maybe try using saber more, that increases your accuracy and thus increases the number of hits you can deal. You could probably one shot Tiamat in the PS1 version, albiet reaching her would be much more difficult as Ether don't exist in that version and the fiends are a required fight every time you step on certain tiles. TIamat only has 2200 HP in the Playstation version doubled from the 1100 in the original Famicom/NES versions. Temper is bugged in the original and does nothing.
@@azuremistkingdom IIRC there an in battle accuracy that is additve to your base accuracy similar to how Attack buffs work.
