I struggle to retain length and grow hair. I went to see a trichologist. I cannot put raw oil, butter, grease. DIYs or conditioner on my scalp. They irritate my scalp. I'm a thalassemia carrier, have neurodivergent stress and low vitamin D. This is why my hair falls out from the scalp or grows so weakly that it breaks. My trichologists said that I only need 4 products That I can buy from a store. 1. shampoo- I have the same Creme of Nature one. once a week 2. Deep conditioner- the ORS is a good one. 20-30 minutes with a plastic cap and a hot towel. once a week 3. Leave in detangler- make sure it says detangler on the bottle. Once a day 4. Leave in conditioner- mist, liquid, lotion, cream whatever your hair likes. Make sure it is a leave-in conditioner and not a styler, gel, styling cream, styling butter. Nothing with hold. Once a day. Protect the hair with twists, flat twists or 2 or 3 french braids, no extensions, and tuck the ends into silk or satin. Scalp massage is allowed daily. Use wide tooth combs instead of brushes to detangle. That's it. A very simple routine. Now if you have a scalp problem, you need to go and see a professional dermatologist or trichologist so that they can give you a specific scalp treatment as the ones you buy in the store are not necessarily tailored to your scalp condition. I'm 42 and I have all my edges and no one knows that I have hair loss because apart from my weak points my hair is really thick enough to hide the small patches from my health conditions. good luck.
@@arantxawilliams8592 I'd have to take hair growth vitamins indefinitely for my hair and my mother ( a retired nurse) said it's not good to take medication or supplements long-term. It interferes with your organs eventually. I can try taking it one month on and one month off but as soon as I stop the hair will weaken so there will always be weak spots in the hair strand. I need my organs more than I need long hair. So that's my compromise. I have edges but my sister and my mother do not have any. My sister has waist-length hair but her edges are so sparse! We all have different hair routines and practices so it's the genetics.
@arantxawilliams8592 I tried biotin in 2020 but I can’t say for sure if it worked. I stopped because I didn’t like the idea of taking pills and looked for alternatives
Hi, I think I have like yours because my hair tangle quickly and it's texture is fine when ever I take it down i may see pieces of hair down and I it's mine because my hubby don't have hair, thanks for this
I have fine hair. My hair breaks or falls out from the scalp 1. because I have internal health issues. 2. dryness. For the internal health issues I have to get a blood test so I know what extra supplements to take and reduce my stress. For the dryness, I have to deep condition once a week and make sure that I moisturize my hair daily and keep it wrapped in silk or satin every day. I have a few bald spots but no one can tell apart from my stylist and trichologists because the rest of my hair is so high-density and I have all my edges.
My hair breaks a lot too and I just realized I have fine hair so I’m staying away from extensions and mostly doing natural hairstyles and I’ve noticed a lot of changes.
Hiii, do you think its better to do braids/protective styles with extensions or without... my hair has been 8inches for about 2 almost 3 years and it actually makes me really sad
I’m so sorry about that, I’ll suggest giving your hair a break from extensions because that’s what I’m doing now. I’m mostly doing flat twist for my wigs and big box braids without extensions. Finding a good routine will also go a long way and try not to over manipulate your hair also. I hope that helps💗
Deep condition weekly. Apply leave-in conditioner daily. Keep hair/ends wrapped loosely in silk or satin...either a satin or silk scarf or a satin or silk scrunchie. I only wear glueless wigs 2 days out of 7. I only wear box braids 4-12 out of 52 weeks. My hair and scalp no longer like braids or extensions.
Also what is going on with your health. That plays s role in hair growth. There are many channels teaching how to grow hair. And if you are still at the same length and you did everything than maybe you have reached a plateau or maybe you have reached your peak of growth
@@marleyhill34 this is something i want to try... cos i see new hair growth at the roots but idk it just isnt adding up... i want to actually take care of my hair and see if that changes anything
@@islandlove8516 if you do this and you still have a problem with retaining length then as the previous commenter said it might be internal. I'm a thalassemia carrier and have neurodivergent stress. This causes my hair to not retain length. It's genetic so it isn't something that I can change. I just keep as much hair as I can and when I feel like it I will shave it off. I shaved off half last year and it cut my detangling time in half...I had a very carefree summer with less hair to work with!!!
I mostly do diy for my protein treatment like avocado, mayonnaise and castor oil. I’ll recommend shea moisture and crème of nature products they’re good.
Yes they’re different. Having fine hair doesn’t mean you have a weak hair. It’s just simply means you can’t get away with some hairstyles and not damage your hair compared to thicker hair strands.

Have you tried hair growth vitamins? They help the most

Thanx for sharing. Do you use that chebe infused oil on your scalp? I real want to know if I can do that
Yes you can use it on your scalp.
Thanks
Hi do you sell hair oil
Yes I do.
Thank you for sharing. Pls share examples of protein treatment I can use for my hair. Thank you in anticipation for your response

Fine hair and weak hair are different. But I agree that extensions are harmful because of their weight.

That cream has tube too, but is it gud too to use the tube or the cup own? Which one is beta?
They’re both the same thing but the tube leaks a lot so I transfer it to the cup because it’s really hard finding the cup one for some reason.
Ok thanks for the update ❤️
Thank you!
You’re welcome 💗
Quoi😮😮 waouh. Bravo
