Obstacle in skatepark: Skater: oh i dunno if i can skate that i dont know what i can do on it Same obstacle as art in city park: Skater: lemme get a 360 nose grab over this before security comes
I just came to the comments to complain that he didn't hit the coolest obstacle in the park knowing damn well I wouldn't have to specify which one I was referring to, but I'm glad you noticed it as well.
@@Cjinator16 haha there's this small double hill ramp at the skate park in a big town for around here but a little ass town compared to nyc anyway its called Plymouth indiana and we call that set the tits. is it just me or does everyone else love it when john lands a trick on the beat of the music, I think its satisfying, hi john if you see this, which you probably won't.
I’ve noticed you look a lot happier when you skate recently, even when you fail. glad to know your not just pumping out skate tricks for the sake of getting a clip. 😁💯
The local "park" I went to as a kid had one rail that wasn't bolted to the ground, so as soon as you would attempt to jump on it, it would move or flip over. If I had access to a park like that as a kid, I might still be skaing today.
a lot of people hate on both youtube skaters and the effect they have on skate culture. But its hard for me to agree with that at all. One of the huge positives of this type of video (and others like this, like revive and jonny giger) is that we get to see all the TRIES it takes to get some of these complex tricks. Back when I was in high school, you would just see the parts come out, and you could assume that all or most of the tricks are done first try. With these videos you really see the effort, which I love.
You are so self motivated! I think every good trick I ever did was accomplished because of cheering and onlooking from other skaters. You manage to get amazing tricks while skating all alone. Amazing.
I don't skate (used to), but I enjoy watching your videos as you always seem so positive and happy. I hope you are because it really seems like you love what you do! Keep killin' it!
You can use a High pass filter at 80hz to get rid of the hum. It wouldn't affect your voice in the slightest and the sound quality would improve. Keep up the good work, love your vids John ✌️
Yesterday i rolled my ankle super overpowered while learning Heelflips. Today its blue and swollen up. Its the second time this year that this happens to me. The first one was a kickflip in January while learning now it was a heelflip :))) in october i landed 140 kickflips, 173 fs shoves, 176 fs 180tes and 182 Pop Sove its. Straight flatground practising all the time. I was so scared to do one Kickflip again at the first time after rolled my ankle but it was the best decision to step on my board again. Now i‘m super scared trying the next Heelflip in February []_[] Buuuut: This time its double hard for me cause i love skating more than before ;)) And yes i am bored and sit on my couch watching Skate vids and write too long comments:)) Thx John for the good Videos. I love the Editing when you land something and i fix to the beat.
the last time I watched your videos, you always had to go to starbucks to edit, you didn't have your clothing line yet which was DP, and coming back after how many years, I must say I've missed watching your videos dude! The quality is still as good as I remember! Much Love!!
You're really good at skating and it must be fun to be able to do most of the tricks you want to! Keep it up dude really enjoyable to watch your videos and see you skate! Much love :DDD
Man I remember when this park first opened and how stoked all the local skaters were to finally have a skatepark in Astoria haha this brought back a lot of memories!
It feels like they took the aspects of normal city obstacles, building front skate spots and so on and made a nice mini park, to me it works amazingly part of street skating is going out and find those unique areas to skate, finding the tech bits of say the front of a building rather than going to a standard skate park. As fun as normal parks can be there should be more parks like this around, it let's us have a space, while maintaining those technical aspects.
Bro your progression is awesome! Your inspiring me to get back skating! I've been shook since my knee fracture from a Lazer flip off the jumbo 3 at Stockton CA park a few years ago
Hey dude, just wanted to let you know, you seem...happier. Lol. I think maybe it's cause of the instagram thing you're pushing yourself harder and doing tricks you're super proud of. Idk but keep it up you're killing it right now.
Hey John. Saw one of your videos on my recommended one day been watching for 2 weeks ordered the first board I’ve owned in a decade it’ll be here in 2 days. Looking forward to getting back into skating
Just wanted to let you know your my favorite skateboarder and you encouraged me to start trying harder to learn more tricks and I want to thank you for that
