    feel like the 88 bluffcatch in 3b pot wasn't great, blocks bluffs & doesn't block value. Maybe he RNGd 25% and felt he needs to call sometimes

      Hey yeah I did but i think you have to do it at regular time intervals and it's too difficult for me right now, too busy with work/family/etc. Maybe someday down the line? :))

      @@shavuri that would be great, I cannot imagine how valuable would be to go with you trough every spot in 2-3hour session. I hope one day you catch some time and throw Twitch stream or 2 Hour session and post on yt. Really enjoy your Vids!

    I was really thinking just fold @12:45, felt disgusting, he has no air in this spot, only AJs few combos, you have to assume he's actually mixing call on the flop with low pocket pairs (lol) then bluffing them or something like J9/89s (again lol). Then again, I don't play 1k so maybe people do that at those stakes.

    • @_MMWWMM_
      @_MMWWMM_ ปีที่แล้ว

      Ok just watched the next bit, yeah if AJo makes it in pre in this rake then yeah I suppose that's a lot of potential combos.

    When you say that you dont consider this kind of stake "very high" what are you saying exactly ?
    That the players are not very strong players ?
    In that sense on what kind of stake you think regulars players start to be a strong poker players ?
    Thanks !!! Love your videos.
    For the moment shooting nl200, my dream is to work in some kind of CFP with you some day ....
    Cheers

      I think it's all relative... years ago this was a high stake for me, now for me it's lower than i usually play, so players are weaker than i'm used to etc. People just get stronger and stronger as you move up, i'd say 5k+ is generally strong players but ofc all relative!

    His 88 call is a spot where he can assume you arrive to the river with a large % of your preflop 3betting range. The dry disconnected flop gets cbet a ton, the Q overcard gets barreled a ton, so he thinks you're gonna turn over AK/AJ/ATs etc often enough. My exploit herocall question in his shoes would be how often does the rainbow runout actually get barreled off? As a default with 88 blocking your straight draws, and knowing it is easy for me to have a lot better than 88 there, it's a fold I make without stressing that you're bluffing me too easily.

    • @shavuri
      @shavuri  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I think this shows how inaccurate people play these spots since flop actualy isn't a frequent cbet, and if it were you could actuallly just raise 88 on flop and stackoff, i think most guys must cbet this too much! And once they don't cbet everything then the rest of the calldown becomes much more questionable.

  • @johnd5619
    @johnd5619 ปีที่แล้ว

    great video. so with the 88 hand do you think the turn call is mandatory then fold the river? or is considering folding the turn an option since it seems like a spot the aggressor is going to follow through on the river a ton. hope this question/comment makes sense

    • @shavuri
      @shavuri  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's tough to know how much people follow through on the river - if you think it's going to be too much than folding catchers on the turn is a good adjustment, like if you think i am firing 100% of bluffs on the river than pre-empting to fold earllier is a realyl good adjustment.

    Uri, could you explain your 3betting size at around 17:00, with AQo on the button--and maybe 3betting approaches, more generally?

    • @shavuri
      @shavuri  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm just being lazy with hotkeys sometimes, i think ip anything from 2.5x-3.5x size should be fine for the most part
