My brother invited me to the cinema where he used to work at. There was this huge movie hall where I heard LOUD (at least audible) children laughter and steps ... so I went to my brother to ask him which movie was being shown there because I was looking for something to watch.
His fucking response was "oh ... you heard them too ..."
We went back to the room, opened the door and it was completely empty.

Jetto Agu well, imagine me during that night xD
I was curious about that room since I wondered why children were allowed to RUN during a movie, as a result for my curiosity I almost end shitting myself.

+MyNewSoundtrack I worked in a school for a time, and me and one of the janitor's there were acquaintances. He told me the same thing happened to him many years ago, when he was working alone during the night shift. He punched out and immediately left the building. Next morning, his boss asks him why he hadn't done his job. He tells the boss what happened and the boss nods "I've heard them too."
      OH SNAP.

    • @MyNewSoundtrack
      @MyNewSoundtrack 9 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Nexus Verbal DUDE, when someone confirms your crazy story with an "ok, so you heard it too" is the worst!
As soon as my brother told me that I froze.
I don't believe in paranormal stuff so much, but some stories like these really have no explanation.

One time me and two friends went to go see a screening of "The Wolverine". We showed up and the theater was empty. I must have been on some other level that day because I decided to tare off my shirt and run around the theater waving my arms and yelling. I ran in and out of the isles, in front of the screen and everywhere in between. Well lo and behold the next thing I see is some big jacked bodybuilder looking dude and his girlfriend walk in. They just looked at me, then at each other...then went and took their seats like nothing was strange.
They weren't going to let my pasty torso ruin their theater going experience, and for that I applaud them.

    • @leathery420
      @leathery420 7 ปีที่แล้ว

Not really all you have to do is make sure it's in focus at the start, and check on it every so often to make sure it's not on fire or something. You can buy projectors for you house that work as TVs, theater projectors are just much higher quality.

I worked at a big movie theater for a year as an usher and later as a security guy. On one of the last days of my job, they were screening The Big Four concert from Sofia, Bulgaria live via satellite. That's the show that featured Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax. We were allowed to serve alcohol for that particular screening so I was in the theater with other guards making sure no one got too crazy or used a camcorder. I spent my lunch break headbanging with people on the top rows during the last song "Am I Evil?". I was still wearing my security personnel vest. The people in the audience thought it was hilarious that one of the employees was hanging out with them.

Oh man have I got a story. This was years ago now and I honestly hardly remember what movie I was seeing (I think it was the Hills have eyes remake) But I go in, sit down and the cinema only has like 3 other people there, so I get comfy and settle in for the movie, within about 15 minutes of the film starting I hear this clicking and a muffled bubbling noise. I look behind and I shit you not, some dude up the back is firing up a bong right in the cinema. What shocked me even more is that no one came and dragged him out. Was just smoking up, all through the movie in a fucking cinema.

There's a show on youtube called the CineFiles. On the show, the guys talked about weird movie theater experiences, with one of them reminiscing about a time where a bunch of high schoolers jumped into a dark theater and just starting punching everyone sitting on the rows' edges in the face.

For my birthday, I went to the midnight release of The Dark Night Rises with two of my old highschool friends. Since it was my birthday, one of them got me a picture of Doc Brown (Back to the Future) signed by Christopher Lloyd. That was the first time anyone has ever gotten me to be in complete disbelief over a gift in my adult life. Anyways, we get in line at the theatre and unluckily the three of us split 2:1 where I'm still with a friend (because the theatre was having multiple screenings and no way of saying which screen you should go to on the ticket). The movie begins to start, and then promptly freezes. It stays like that for a solid 10 minutes. The room is starting to get antsy wondering what's going on, I'm getting annoyed. I notice there's people standing in the exit corridor, so I shout to them "Hey, can you go get an employee, because something's wrong." And one of them leaves and an employee comes in "Sorry for the technical issues, the movie will start shortly". I then hear "Round of applause for the guy who spoke up!" and *the entire* theatre burst into applause.
    Best. Birthday. Ever.

I saw Zombieland in this rustic movie theater on the outskirts of my town in Alaska. They apparently still use movie reels because, about halfway through the movie, they started playing the reels out of order. It took several minutes for everyone to figure out the movie was out of sequence, and you could see everybody glancing at each other in confusion. Half an hour later, the credits rolled, but some of us stuck around to see what would happen next, or if they would proactively offer refunds. After the credits finished rolling, another 20 minutes of out-of-order movie reel played. Those of us who stayed until the end gave it a standing ovation.

Also next to a local theater there was a laundrymat and we would go for snacks and arcade games.. my sister looked at the vending machine and then tried a key of hers in it.. it opened.. we grabbed a bunch of snacks and drove away.. we ate some of them but then she turned around, drove back, and we put the snacks back into the machine..

My story goes all the way back to 1985. I was working at a General Cinema theater in Mesquite, TX and if anyone reading this knows or remembers General Cinema, they mainly showed your typical Hollywood fare (blockbusters, etc.), but one fateful Friday night, through some weird cosmic roll of the dice, we ended up getting "The Stuff" (you know, that killer dessert movie). This was quite odd, as most GC theaters didn't usually carry this kind of schlock (The UA theaters did that), but we got it and I ended up catching it with no one in the theater, so there's my "private screening" experience.
The funny thing about the story is that it's the only movie I know of that General Cinema literally pulled from release before the weekend even ended! It was gone by Sunday, only to be replaced by a 2nd screen for "Back To The Future". In all, 9 tickets were sold during those 2 days. The drive-in theaters in the area wouldn't even show it. Ah, memories.....

I went to go see Sweeney Todd starring Johnny Depp when it released with my sister. We got to the theater and the movie played as the title screen cones on. After that, the overture increased as Depp sings and a guy behind us screams out in the theater "AW FUCK, IT'S A MUSICAL?!" We giggled and the guy was a trooper as he watched the entire movie.

I have one... I was 3 years old and my parents brought me to see the original Ghosbusters. I scored a pack of gummy bears and a drink and I was pumped. Then the movie starts with the Library opening scene, and it was a little scary for 3 year old me but I managed. However, later on when they return to the Library and they found the ghost, I started to become a little scared. Then after Stantz yells, "GET HER!" She turns around and turns into that demon-like ghost. . . Well that was it for me. Just like the Ghostbusters' themselves I straight up ran out of the movie, out of the theater, and into the parking lot. Hot on my tail were my parents as they came chasing after me. But, that was it for our movie night, I refused to go back in.

Had a few! When I was an usher at Edwards, I was able to get into movies all the time for free. I went to catch a showing of Bad Moon, a pretty forgettable werewolf movie and was the only one in the theater when I saw it. Was a really surreal experience.
About the same time, me and a few friends saw the peter Jackson movie The Frighteners and we had this guy doing almost the exact same thing with the weird whooping and Ooooohing constantly. I guess he was having a good time! My friend I saw it with almost assualted the guy though. Really glad it didn't get much further then that.
Then when I was working at the theater on shift, I was sitting in the back with a bunch of other ushers watching Braveheart between cleaning theaters. At the scene when the princes' boyfriend gets pushed out the window by the king I cried "Tuck and roll!" and got a pretty good laugh from the people watching. Though I'm surprised I didn't get fired for it. I was way to big an MST3K fan for my own good.
A few nights later we and a bunch of other ushers and projectionists lit the Mel Gibson Braveheart standee on fire and threw it off the roof of the threater all crying "FREEEEEEEEDOM!" I can't believe we weren't arrested.
Man that was a fun job.

4:03 the combo of the story and Johnny's reaction Lol!! I went to see Indiana Jones and the Crappy Skull with my dad and 3 nephews, we were like 25 minutes late and came into a packed theater with the opening scene in progress. The only available seats were in the front row. At one point during a quite scene, my dad's phone rings loudly and he actually answers it and proceeds to have a discussion! I was far enough down from him that I had to get up walk over and remind him that he should go outside! When I was a kid he would always embarrass me on purpose by making those squeaky noises with the straw and cup lid during the quite scenes. Wow guess we were THOSE people lol

omg little kids at movies they shouldn't be at.. Saw the 3rd Harry Potter movie, the one that starts getting really dark and has werewolves in it. Went to a 10pm showing figuring I'd dodge the teenager crowd.. Well no teens but a family was there with their, surprisingly well behaved ~6yo and their maybe 1yo.. the 1yo was apparently extremely tired and wouldn't shut up. When the darker, scarier stuff started the little kid went ballistic with the crying. There were maybe 6 other people in the theater and we all yelled at the parents to take the kid outside and be courteous to everyone.. Didn't work, but I guess someone went out and complained because the whole family was escorted out!
Parents, don't bring your exhausted little kids to PG movies at 10pm!!!!

Then saw Pirates of the Caribbean 3 in a different country (New Zealand)

My friends and I still till this day believe there is a forgotten deleted scene of Episode 1. We remember the Bongo going through the core with magma and everything. What probably happened was the Commack Cinema had a copy with color mistakes

About 4 or 5 years ago I was working at my local town cinema. As a worker, during one month I could go 12 times to watch any movie at any hour I would want for free. So one time I invited 11 of my friends to come and see a movie. The title of the movie was "Cloud Atlas". Me and my friends at 11 PM came to the cinema on the last movie of the day (which was Cloud Atlas) after my shift working shift ended. We went inside the hall and... there was absolutely no one except my friends and myself. It was a long movie, but the experience of me and my 11 friends watching the movie alone was something else man... I hope someone has the same experience as me!

well i remember go to cinema with 5 of my friends, we sitting on the top back and 3 row behind nobody sit there. However in the middle we all feel someone touch our back. It's impossible if one of us can do that very fast touch and sitting like there're nothing in miliseconds. After that we all just know the story of one ghost in that room, he always touch whoever sit in last row

I was at the theater the evening before the midnight opening of Harry Potter 7 Part 1, and there was a big crowd of kids from the local college already lined up. I went to the arcade area after my movie to play some pinball, and saw a group of 3 girls rehearsing their song & dance number about Hogwarts. Not sure when they were planning to bust that out.

was in a packed theatre but one of the last seats was next to me. a old scruffy looking man was scaning the theatre for a seat and found mine even though i tried leaning into it. he smelled like cigs and body odor. not sure how i made it through.

So this is my first time commenting on one of your videos. But I've had a few odd things happen to me when I've been to see movies which I thought you'd get a chuckle out of.
First was when I went to see Deep Impact. The theatre wasn't very full, maybe about 20 or so people, for the whole movie it's silent, everybody knew that we should have gone to see Armageddon which was the other asteroid movie out at the time. Anyway... the film is literally right at the last scene when Morgan Freeman gives his 'The waters... receded' speech.
Literally as he finishes his speech and the camera pulls back you see the survivors of the tidal wave all cheer and clap... all of a sudden a guy sat near the front row jumps up on his seat, raises his arms above his head and goes "YAAAAAAAAAYYYY" and starts to clap his hands. But not because the movie had ended, there were still a few seconds left, he wanted to join in with the cheering extras in the film.
The 2nd one was before a movie started, you know how they show those "Piracy funds terrorism!" adverts? Well... the advert starts and it all of a sudden it comes up in big letters with dramatic music "PIRACY FUNDS TERRORISM!" the advert ends and the theatre falls silent... then this child is heard saying "No it doesn't, it funds Barry Barry down the road!"

Great stories guys. The shadow man thing was creepy. I think my strangest was when I invited my parents to go watch the new Muppets movie a few years ago. After the previews I think The Muppets is starting, but what I see is some blonde girl moaning as she is straddling Jonah Hill's face. At first I think maybe it's still the previews that seems a bit inappropriate since everyone is here to see the Muppets movie. After a minute or so it's obvious they are showing the wrong mkvie(The Sitter). So I go to tell the manager and when I get there a lady is already waiting to alert the manager. The thing is, she was a teacher and brought some of her students. She told me "I've got 12 of my 9 year old students who just saw that, I don't look forward to having to explain this to their parents". Nonetheless, it was a memorable experience!

I've seen many movies by my self.
The trick is to go in as soon as the theater opens for the day. And make sur the movie is about 1 week old. You can still catch it on the main screens, and it's likely to be empty.
If you give the movie a month or two, you're very likely to be alone during the first screening for the day. But it will be on the smaller screens by that time.
My craziest experience was that I had to threaten someone. I asked them politely to stop talking. They got hostile. I got scary. I can be very scary when I want to. Especially back then. I realized I went too far. I didn't want to get thrown out. And I could see they were going to leave. I figured they were sure to report me. So I made them sit back down, and I moved to a row behind them. I feel bad about it. Some dude gave me a thumbs up as I moved seats.

When I was younger I went to see Transformers 2 (trash movie) in this theater that had actually been renovated from an old stage style theater from years ago. My friend and I were the only people in the theater. We were watching it but it started to slow down and the noise got distorted and it just stopped and it looked like the screen had caught fire. What had actually happened was the reel had stopped and the heat from the projector had burnt through the slide it was stuck on. This shit happened 2 or 3 more times, it was pretty funny and likely made the movie better looking back on it now.

Me and brother went to see the first Avengers movie, the theater was semi-crowded. Anyways, we watched the movie almost in silence, snickering back and forth at the more action packed parts until the scene were Iron Man shows off his new suit. I immediately stood on my seat and let out a loud "Yesssss!!!!", I was so excited! It was so loud and triumphant. The rest of the movie my brother sat in silence and embarrassment. It was hilarious!

Oh, I have another one! I went to watch Freddy vs. Jason on opening night. The theater was completely packed, hot, and stuffy. Everyone was being vigilant not to encroach upon the personal space of the strangers sitting next to them. An hour into the movie, we're seeing one of those long, drawn-out, suspenseful scenes with creepy music building up into some untold horror when suddenly the scratchy voice of a teenage boy shrieked from the middle of the theater and yelled, "GET YO' HAND OUT OF MY POCKET!" The entire theater burst into laughter.

lets see... there was this time when i went to go see ghost busters at a replay theater... what happened was the strangest thing... this is the kind of thing that would only happen in a movie when people go to a movie in a movie (movieception) but what happened was the film reel ripped... and burned.... and everyone in the audience was like WTF happened... and we all got our money back... it was a interesting day

A projector lamp exploded or something on a hot summer day so the movie went out after a hour. This was during The Omen. The movie was free since I worked their but it still creeped us out. Another Time two guys right above us started smoking cigarettes and were pissed when we said something.

I went and saw The Phantom Menace on opening night, at midnight. There was this drunk guy with this really funny, almost Gilbert Gottfried voice yelling "Darth Yoda!!!!!!" in the back of the theater, only at a few perfectly, masterfully timed points throughout the film, that made absolutely everyone there completely crack the fuck up every damn time he yelled it. I have no idea how that guy knew the exact times to make that shit so damn funny, because it is such a stupid joke, and any other instance where something like that could possibly happen, would have made everyone cringe over that stupid shit.... BUT the timing was perfect, like he already had the it all planned out far in advance!!! It was probably the only time that I honestly enjoyed watching that shitty film.

The time my sister snuck me and my cousin to see Dodgeball and then Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. It wasn't so weird as much as it was awesome because she treated it like a mission in Metal Gear Solid and we even got to sneak in food as well.

Hahaha, me and my wife at the time, we went to go see Iron Man 3, during the theater intros where they show quizzes and junk, they were playing the "Rehab" song by Amy Winehouse, and we both started singing along with changed lyrics of course, haha. We pretty much sang "I never went to rehab, now I'm dead, dead, dead" people kept looking at us all "what the fuck is wrong with you two?" Hahahaha, classic memories XD

I remember I went with a group of friends to a movie back in high school and the entire theater was empty so we went up to the screen and started doing the Gangnam Style dance (because that was the popular thing at the time) but then a family of 3 came in like halfway through the movie and made a scene because we were being loud. Sorry that we were the only ones in here until you decided to show up an hour into the feature presentation! Lol
