u r cool for posting. This is awesome that you can hang out in the chat just like you do in the video. Wish i could say hi in person =) ps you are short. I am 5 6 so its not an insult lol
Awesome get on that Lords of Thunder disc. Such a fantastic game, with a soundtrack that remains as my favorite of all time. Pricey, yes, but a sweet addition to any library. I really enjoyed the camaraderie in this episode, with Shane, Spoony, Alpha, and Ryan along with the Game Chasers crew. Getting groups like that together-- whether it's for a convention or for an episode-- is great because it unites friends & colleagues with similar passions. It was neat seeing Billy, Jay, & Eric play off of each other, too... and I laughed a whole lot. Finally, it's too bad about that X'EYE not going home with someone. I always wanted one of those, myself; it always seemed like a perfect consolidation of the Genesis & SEGA CD, and I like the form factor, too. Maybe someday... Thanks for another great episode, guys. I've been under the weather over the past few days, and (re)watching your videos has been one of the keys to helping me feel better.
It's already been said a few times in the comments but this really is the best episode you guys have done so far. That's saying a lot considering how good all the episodes are. Thank you for taking the time to make these videos for us.
I am seriously had to stop this video for a moment, because I can't breath, the part where you put 8 Bit Eric in there and he says "I'm slow" was just hilarious. Also when AoS showed up, that was fucking great. Good stuff as always.
Hey dude, nice to see another gamer metalhead! I have a gamer channel and a metal channel! Gonna check out your channel now. And yeah, they are gonna use that 8-Bit Eric clip FOREVER. BEAT that dead horse!
Spoony's speech on PC gaming vs console gaming... he sold me! I'm done with consoles. Actually arguing over consoles vs PC is like arguing over cars vs airplanes. Sure airplanes maybe be faster and all that but car enthusiasts don't care. You can't get a sweet Prius airplane. Nor can you get a badass Escalade with spinning hubcaps airplane. Nor a rockin' Ford Pinto airplane. The closest you can get to those is to carry said cars in the airplane. But car enthusiasts don't care about that.
I agree with you. I'm tired of PC elitist saying how PC is better. Does it have better graphics at times, sure. But, almost all console games aren't on PC. So how would it be better? Neither are better, just different.
shinmusashi44 "Almost All Console Games arent't on PC" Then why did SEGA back in the 90's port a lot of there Saturn, and big Genesis games to Windows 95? I have a few VF 2, Daytona USA, SEGA Rally, Sonic CD, Sonic 3, Sonic & Knuckles, the list goes on, and most games outside of Nintendo that are multiplatform these days get a PC release, and have so for years. I agree each are different, and have there strength, and weaknesses, but don't go around spreading lies, because yes even in the 80's many games that where on the NES, where on Home computers as well like TMNT 1 is an example. it was on the Commodore 64, along with many SEGA games like Space Harrier, and Outrun, and yes even Tetris had a port on the C64.
Commodorefan64 You seem to live in a fantasy world. Most console games WEREN'T on PC. Are you crazy or something? You listened like 10 games and try to say "see most were on PC". 90% of NES, SNES games weren't on PC. About same with lots of Sega games and so on. I really can't believe you would think most NES games were on PC, that's just insane.
shinmusashi44 I'm face palming at your response, I was giving a few examples, but I can name a lot of games that started on the PC, and ended up on console afterwards, Need for Speed series, Doom, Quake, Hexen, Duke Nukem, Wolfenstin 3D, Turican, Maniac Mansion(it was on Dos PC then NES), Madden series(Apple II IE), Tetris(DOS PC, Commodore 64 then NES, etc..), I can keep going on, and on, but I would be here for hours.
Commodorefan64 And I'm facing palming at you and your fantasy world you live in where you think most console games are on PC. If most console games were on PC, then why would emulators for console games be so popular? Wouldn't we just go play the PC versions instead?
Thanks so much Billy for pushing out such regular episodes recently. We all appreciate how much time you put into producing the best gaming show on TH-cam. I'm so excited for the Season 2 DVD!
Dude that was a very awesome episode! Most of my favorite TH-camrs are in here with you guys search in through the Pantheon of Retro Games in good ol Philly. Rock on, and #CHODES 😎👍🎮
I just want to thank Billy and Jay for what has been my most favorite thing to watch on TH-cam since I first came across it some time ago. I enjoy the search just as much as I love the banter.
That store looks amazing. The entire time you guys were in that basement, I kept staring to see if I could see any Sega Master System games (my obsession), and there were a bunch. That's literally my dream. I want to go in to a basement, find a huge pile of Sega Master System games, and take them home for my collection.....This was my favorite episode in a long time. Thanks to the Game Chasers for posting this video!
I'm honestly so jealous. Just seeing those Master System games made me want to fly to Philly to do some game shopping. Who knows, I might just do that now.
2022 Annual "Rewatch every video" from The Game Chasers from the start of the channel to now. Thank you reliving an amazing past. F Pat. I knew I had to catch Jay slippin'
smart to go after the PC games back in 2015 - the market on PC big box games has skyrocketed - can't even play them on modern systems but gd they great on the shelf
Alpha omega sin, Jay and Billy I love when you all are together. It is good to see the retro scene live. Keep up the good work! I am a subscriber to both channels...
being military and workin 12+ hour days these vids really help me make it through the day its always fun to see people come up on some good stuff and even learn a thing or two cant wait for the next video needs more dodongo tho lol
I think I still have a Wondermega in my basement, the Japanese version of the same thing. It has a region switch. Except it has wireless controllers and s-video, two things JVC took out when they brought it over to the US because US gamers hate wireless controllers and s-video. Oh they also took out the karaoke feature I think but who cares? Anyway, want it? Well too bad because it's not mine to give away you should feel ashamed.
You guys are awesome. You've influenced me to start game hunting. I really want a 2600, NES, Super NES, and a N64, but can't find them anywhere. You made me realize that if I wanted any of these old consoles, I've gotta go around places digging for them until I find them. It seems like hard work when I watch you guys doing that, but it looks like fun. Once I've done my first game hunt, I'm going to tell you about the experience I had.
The wires on our Intellivision broke too... Luckily my Dad's friend was an electrical engineer and he was able to take them apart and fix them. He worked for Sears and they had some weird modded Atari where the games were on 16 pin EPROM looking chips that plugged right into the unit. They had 100's of games, the titles were written on the chips in white marker. I have never been able to figure out exactly what was going on there. If I had to guess, he was involved in making the Sears Video Arcade and it was some kind of test module.
Yep that sounds like a test unit, and SEARS did sale an Intelevison clone, which I have sitting next too my CRT I use for way old systems, the controllers are much much better then the original Model 1 Intelevision units, as mine also had controller issues, and stopped reading carts even after a very good cleaning, and I'm glad I was able too find the SEARS model years ago at a yard sale for $5.
Awwwwwww shit! That was the kind of episode I love... digging for gold! That shop owner was nice as hell and you guys all did good. Congrats on another excellent video once again!
wow, I never thought some pea sea mustard rice would intrude on my game chasers episodes. aside from that bit (kind of funny I guess) great episode! glad to see everyone back together
Awesome episode! Can't believe Jay and Eric didn't know what a JVC E'EYE was. I got one. Rarest system I own. Thanks Goodwill! ~ Goodwill Phil The Fluffy Gamer
The Jvc Eye I found one of those at a second hand store for 5 bucks... I wish I still had it.. damn house fire of 2012.. Great Ep. though guys love the show!!!
Another great episode guys, Thanks! ;) Nice editing as always Billy. Looks like you got a good deal in the end. Always best to bundle up for sure. Looking forward to more if the future! "Jay is a choad" ;)
Dang it. Every time I see these cool stores it makes me want to travel as well. I wish I had friends who were as much into older games as I am and would travel with me. You guys are fortunate in that aspect and I'm glad you can enjoy each other's company. Also, Jay is a chode.
Holy shit, 8-bit Eric caught Billy and Jay slipping?! How can this possibly be? It's not possible! I can literally feel the fabric of the universe and reality tearing apart around me.
I knew this episode was gonna be good knowing that Spoony was gonna be on it. I had no idea how EPIC this Episode actually would be. Literally my two favorite shows(and both being major influences on me starting my youtube)Colliding was just wicked awesome to watch. Also Chodes
Wow, didn't really expect to see Noah up on this show. Really glad he got in on some of the action too, don't think I've been this jealous in a long time. And how can you NOT know Midnight Resistance?... It's that one arcade cab Robocop knocks over in Robocop 2.
Enjoyed the New Episode of Game Chasers. I own a nes, snes, N64, and a Sega Genesis so far. Always on the lookout for games I need for my consoles. My all time console is the Sega Genesis. Yee!
I love that you could see the shop owner using eBay SOLD and not FUCKING top amazon sealed prices or some shit lol. Awesome looking store, awesome video!
when you mentioned Romance II, i remembered a friend of mine got one of them from his dad a while back. checked with him, and seems he has the first game in his pile
Every one in this episode are big fat CHODES!!!! LOL!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously though great episode, and it was good seeing everyone together, and Spoony's PC gaming rant had me laughing my ass off!!
We were there for so many hours and still didn't get to go through every thing that was downstairs. That place was so damn cool
we have to go back
A graveyard of mountainous retro game love!! I would have had to duct tape my dick to my leg if I went into that store! No homo! :P
Hey alpha I found skys of arcadia for 50...should I get it?
u r cool for posting. This is awesome that you can hang out in the chat just like you do in the video. Wish i could say hi in person =) ps you are short. I am 5 6 so its not an insult lol
I think you won the episode dude, lol. Did you pick up anything decent?
I laughed way too hard at 8bit Eric's description: "youtuber, gamer, chode"
Awesome get on that Lords of Thunder disc. Such a fantastic game, with a soundtrack that remains as my favorite of all time. Pricey, yes, but a sweet addition to any library.

Every couple months I have to marathon the entire series. This episode always sticks out 😂
"Yea but you'll slip on the way." LMFAO!!!! Oh yeah and Chodes.

Thanks to the Game Chasers for posting this video!
He had way more Master System games on the top floor. You can find anything in that store. :P
I'm honestly so jealous. Just seeing those Master System games made me want to fly to Philly to do some game shopping. Who knows, I might just do that now.

Game Sack I will forever live in the shadow of people who own the system that I shall never own...
*****
They didn't get it. Why didn't you? Didn't want to pay $100+? The thing would probably still be stuck in customs upon your return to Candyland.
I was short on cash. :P
Game Sack ***** he was too busy buying ugly controllers.
Man that was a funny episode!
I kept cracking up at everyone slowly trickling down to the basement.
You guys are awesome. You've influenced me to start game hunting. I really want a 2600, NES, Super NES, and a N64, but can't find them anywhere. Congrats to Eric for surpassing 500 NES games

Always nice to see 8bit Eric and alphaomegasin on the game chaser vids!

Also, Jay's a chode!
Awwwwwww shit! That was the kind of episode I love... digging for gold! That shop owner was nice as hell and you guys all did good. Congrats on another excellent video once again!

The way "Only to tell you what fuckin' losers you are!" was delivered still makes me laugh to this day. Followed by the Rick Flair "Woo!"
And no one saw Spoony ever again.
"ill hit you so hard your mum will have an Odyssey 2" "Yeah but she'll slip on the way" hahaha Eric caught slippin, everytime.
By far one of the funniest episodes ever! The fart reaction at the 11 minute mark kills me.

Holy shit, 8-bit Eric caught Billy and Jay slipping?! How can this possibly be? It's not possible! I can literally feel the fabric of the universe and reality tearing apart around me.
Alpha's music cue in the basement is priceless!
Billy is a trooper! Disregard pain, obtain games.
I'd be freaking out if I had torn my achilles tendon.
8 Bit Eric just seems to level up each time he's on a new episode. Next time he shows up he'll probably find a damn Cheetahmen 2.
Also, Chay's a Jode.
Another great episode you guys are awesome
I knew this episode was gonna be good knowing that Spoony was gonna be on it. I had no idea how EPIC this Episode actually would be. Literally my two favorite shows(and both being major influences on me starting my youtube)Colliding was just wicked awesome to watch. Also Chodes

Yee!
