Everything You Need to Know - Carnival Cruise

- There are so many different cruise lines each with their own personality. We want to help you decide if a Carnival Cruise is the right cruise line for you and help you know how to prepare for your upcoming sailing.
Before we sailed we had heard a lot about Carnival Cruise line and most of it wasn't positive. So we want to go through what you can expect, and how you can make your cruise fabulous.
We have broken this video up into 6 categories to organize our Carnival Cruise tips. We are going to go over their fleet, dining, drinks, entertainment, staterooms, and carnival specific notes.
My favourite Carnival Cruise need to know category is food. We were impressed with how much dining was included. The counter service options were very fresh. We visited Big Chicken a lot. There is also a good selection of specialty restaurants if you want to elevate your dining experience. There is no lack of selection when it comes to Carnival Cruise food. We do recommend booking specialty restaurants before sailing as they can fill up.
When it comes to the entertainment on board there is everything from live music to a roller coaster. This was a big section of our Carnival Cruise know before you go video as we don't want you to miss out. The more extreme activities can be found on the top deck and most of them are included like the ropes course, mini putt and waterslides.

So much useful info, as always with you 2. The different approach to disembarkation scheduling is interesting. It will be interesting to see if they've maintain that.
Yes it is interesting to see how different cruise lines do it. Virgin Voyages encourages you to keep your luggage when disembarking.

We booked the carnival panorama and stayed in the havana aft cabins. It was the worst! The smoke stacks turned our balcony into a coal yard. It was full of black soot every day. They will only clean it 2 X and 10 minutes later it's full of black soot. You could never sit down without get your clothes all black or your hands black just by touching anything. It would get all over your feet and turn your carpets black. When we told our steward they said sorry that's how it is back here there working on fixing it for last few years but carnival didn't tell us that when we booked it. We called carnival when we returned home and 6 weeks later they sent us an email saying sorry we'll be happy to give you a $25 on board credit for your next cruise. What a joke! We had 2 more cruises set to go in the upcoming months and we canceled them and we booked with another cruise line. Will never Sail Carnival again. Also the food was always cold and way to many people fighting with each other.
That’s too bad about the smoke stacks. We have never tried an aft balcony but that would be big annoyance. Who wants to pay for a balcony and not be able to use it. I hope your cruises with the other cruise lines were better
@TravelingFlamingo I hope so too. It's just a slap in the face to take away your balcony basically and then say here's $25 for your troubles.

Carnival is better in my opinion overall. Cheaper, The food is not that bad and if you want animation, the CD are the best over other cruise lanes based on my taste. I work from home, when I go in vacation I want to live and do things that I won't do normally if I can say ( drink a lot, visit different places, party, eat what ever is available, no cleaning,socializing, etc) . I am a sellout of Carnival. I've cruised with different lines. They don't have the same vibe as the *fun ships*. Maybe the food and the ships are better with other cruise lines but even if we exclude the price, even if Carnival was more expensive than Royal or NCL per say, I would choose Carnival by far.
They definitely do bring the fun. We also found there are so many different ways. It is not just partying so whatever fun you want, they have it. Thanks watching and commenting. Happy travels 🦩

If u don’t get a drinks package, what is avail…just water or coffee tea @ the free eateries? Also, is the water safe 2 drink ( ie. filtered) so for exs, I could fill up my water bottle b4 my excursion & use that instead of buying a bottle of water while out?
There is coffee, tea, hot chocolate, water, lemonade and ice tea.
That is what we do. We fill our water bottles from the drink stations at the buffet and cafe.
@@TravelingFlamingo ok, thank you. i'll bring some of those flavor packets/electrolyte things to put in my water for a change of pace instead of water all the time. my mother is frugal so she's not doing the drinks package, plus we don't drink alcohol anyway so we figure thats best. i was just curious about the options.
Carnival has seven, yes seven extra cost restaurants on the Jubilee. Not my favorite line anymore 😢
Wow yeah it’s too bad. It’s nice when there is a lot of included dinning. It’s fun to try and spreads out the crowds.
Does the app work even if you don’t pay for the wifi?

You can also use the chat feature on the app. Costs $5 per user (total), so if you have a party of 4 people, 20 bucks if you want to dm each other from opposite ends of the ship. Definitely worth the cost for that alone, and you don't need the wifi to use it.
odd you didnt mention the drink package limits user to 15 drinks a day. thats pretty important

Does anyone actually drink more than 15 drinks in a day? I mean... no judgement but... I wouldn't have called it "odd" that she didn't mention that limit. In most cases it wouldn't matter.
Carnival posts a 1 billion profit for the last 3 months and they come out with a drink package price increase, talking fuel surcharges, etc. They are getting greedy. The wife and I are looking at booking our 2-3 cruises for next year, but now we are thinking we will look at other cruise lines. Carnival is getting too greedy and fleecing their passengers.
That is a really good point! There is a lot of competition and people love those drink packages. That’s too bad about the increase in price
