  • "Farmland Assessment on Woodlands - Multiple Benefit Activities" with Andrew Kimm
In the mid-twentieth century New Jersey was losing open space at an alarming rate. To reduce the rate of that loss, New Jersey voters in 1963 approved an amendment to the state constitution allowing agricultural and horticultural lands to be tax assessed based on their use and not on their market value. “Farmland Assessment on Woodlands” reviews the history of the Farmland Assessment Act as it has been applied to the forests of New Jersey and how everyone in the state has benefited, and continues to benefit, from the protection of vital open space.

Thanks so much. Missed the meeting but still could get the info. 20 years in program and still learned something new. These are so valuable.
