They said they moved the tank and all the plants died so they couldn’t really update/

The answer I believe is fine gravel for roots to grow and small and rounded to not mess up corydora wiskers. Plant’s wouldn’t blossom till I changed to gravel, now they grow on they own.

If the sand was put on top of the gravel, would the gravel seep above the sand as the sand is a finer substance?

Plants need soil for nutrients.
