年前電影《葉問前傳》上映後，曾引起一撮小風波。事緣戲中將阮奇山 (1887﹣1956) 塑造成葉問的小師弟，功夫也不怎麼樣，遂招來阮氏後人不滿，最後要由電影商及葉準親自道歉，事件才告平息。
在現實中，阮奇山不但不是葉問的師弟，功夫亦毫不遜色，成名更比葉問早。阮奇山一生都在佛山生活，最顯赫的弟子要數岑能 (1926﹣1993)，岑能後來搬到廣州居住，並在那裏授徒，而在七十年代開始在香港傳授阮氏詠春的，則主要是岑能多位徒弟包括梁大釗、郭運平和李志耀。但由阮奇山開始，這系詠春對於承傳及教授宗旨亦跟葉問系不同，令這門功夫秘而不宣，不輕易外露。
在阮奇山詠春門下，除了掌法和六點半棍，同時亦保留了一套獨特的刀法，名為「二字箝羊奪命刀」。這個名字既說明了這套刀法以詠春基本步法二字箝羊馬為基礎，同時亦道出了刀法本身的狠辣，招招足以致命，所以向來不輕易傳授。

我见过几次古劳咏春的师傅表演刀法，跟这套的动作一模一样，名字叫夺命刀。据师傅说这套刀法非常狠辣，以前老一辈古劳咏春的习练者是穿着厚棉袄练刀，除非非常熟练，不然的话一不小心就会伤到自己。很多人想学，他不教。

老者是广州咏春宗师的第一代学生，原来是位中国摔跤高手，后再跟岑能学习咏春拳，那时岑宗师的风格非常硬朗，所以，这个时代的学生风格也是硬朗及大开大合（相对而言）。
这套刀应该是十二套刀法中的一套。
我们的那套的重点与这套不同，一般学生只学2-3套，但受用终身。

Yuen Kay San/Sum Nung Wing Chun. This is Kwok Wan Ping, an early disciple of Sum Nung.
There're some 10+ substyles of Wingchun; this's one.

It's gwongzhau wingchun, it's a branch that is earlier than ip man, and if you read the description, it said that since the movie of Ip Man is out, the GZ sect of wingchun got mad at those film makers and ip chun for brewing the bullshit hoax history. Yuen Kay Shan is the founder of GZ wingchun, just because he is low profile, that is why people don't know of this sect, but it's way earlier and more authentic than ip man sect for sure. I was once in this sect.

Used to be very closed door and my teachers teacher was KC first Caucasian student. All the while never heard of these other lines that are popular today.
Pan Nam, Viet Nam. They were never talked about by the teachers when I was learning. 90s and of course this goes to my teachers line all the way back to Yip.

This is certainly different from Master Sum Nung's. If one watches carefully, it wasn't performed symmetrically on the left and right sides as the form is. Sometimes, it is just random. Also, 刀法 doesn't have 刺. It is not 槍. 刀法 is kind of the extension of the forms. Do we have 刺 in the form? No. Right? I definitely believe that some skills were made up using imagination.
