I‘ve seen a lot of so called masters with butterfly knives, but there are only a few with real knowlege. He is one of the good masters with nice technics and timing. 👍
As soon as you really spar/fight with weapons then you will truly realise what is real and what is nonsense that doesn't work. You will realise these things because you are being hit representing death and what techniques allow you to strike your opponent representing successful attacks. You will be humbled.
If you wonder why every time you see old wing chun with Butterfly swords doing kata and it looks bad its because. maybe they never really used them. It was more like insert a bladed weapon. Yet all the modern movies show wing chun doing all kinds of really good stuff with them. Now maybe wing chun is getting real useful stuff with the butterfly sword, but it certainty didnt Crete the weapon just because its pop in Chinese movies now as a wing chun weapon.

兵器不一定勝双手
但人家有槍或飛標， 一定要趕快跑
短兵勝長兵何也? 易入之故
一寸長一寸強，一寸短一寸險
我拿条棍可以战胜这玩意儿，八斩刀不好看，还不如洪家拳的单刀好看而实用。

根據本人所知，防暴警察都是左手拿盾牌，右手拿菜刀，一刀劏肚，出手要盡量快速，以快打慢，一撲埋去就斬，斬不中就即刻後退。（下期續）
