biggest question is increase in physical play on a weekly basis, travel fatigue, and really cold / bad weather.. These are the unknowns.. I believe Oregon has the Coaching, the talent, and the depth. Will the unknows have an impact on injuries and the depth chart, will the depth chart be able to perform at high enough level. I can see Oregon going 12-0 to 8-4 . 12-0 if the unknows are not a factor epically getting the Buckeyes at home. If the unknows get the better of the team the worst case is the 8-4 and dropping 1-3 is very possible. LETS GO DUCKS!!!

Duck fan here. To the commenter above, I strongly doubt the Ducks drop 3 games, or that they go undefeated. The roster is truly two deep at most positions.
To Darren, my first listen. Nice work. You’re prepared, have more than a few novel but fair takes, and your voice is easy on the ears. See you at The Big House November 2.
One correction: Autzen is not a big stadium, seats only 59k on the best of days. But it’s loud, can sound more like 85k at other stadiums. Hope you come out sometime.

@@maninthemiddle55 this is probably the most reasonable Oregon fan take I've seen. Everyone else is so high on themselves they don't see the challenge ahead. The B1G will be a much more difficult road no matter how good the team. As a Husker fan I learned this the hard way when we joined. But we weren't as good as Oregon at the time (and certainly aren't now).

@@maninthemiddle55 Frost was a major disappointment all around. He got lucky with UCF, it had already been set up to succeed. What we found out was that he wasn't organized, he had no actual plan, and to be honest he was spending most of his time drinking and carousing with his old playing buddies. He even showed up to practices late.

Thats the old Oregon. Dan lanning is building a monster, especially on defense. Michigan is going to fall back a bit. I know they have a lot of talent coming back, and solid in the trenches ,but losing head coach, starting qb, and other key players is hard to not drop a bit. Michigan might still beat Oregon, but Ohio st has made big moves, they could be a problem for every one.

From a Michigan fan. Oregon may win the Big Ten in 2024. Michigan signal stealing, is like saying scouting another team before an upcoming game is cheating.. Whomever wins the national title this year, will also be accused of cheating by some one. Losing causes people to look for excuses. Watching a game on television, could be seen as stealing information about an opponent.

The Ducks scheme is an NFL scheme. My jury is out on Gabriel, but him aside, this team is deeper and overall a better team in 2024. I'm a ride-or-die Duck fan for 51 years. Jackson Powers-Johnson was the Rimington Award winner, he is a beast. Noah Whittington is an outstanding running back and I would rate him even or above Irving and he is coming back to pair with James.

As an Oregon duck fan, and season-ticket holder who will be at the Ohio State game. I’m very confident that Oregon can beat Ohio State… But I am more confident in beating Michigan than Ohio State. Michigan is returning the 109th best production on defense… losing 53% of their 2023 production. And they’re losing 76% of their production on offense… Which ranks 132nd out of 135 teams.
Oregon on the other hand is returning 68% on offense, and 70% on defense… which was a top 10 scoring defense in 2023 in the regular season. And the players that they have coming in make up the third best transfer portal class, which all happened to have significant starting experience.

Ohio vs oregon should definitely be a college game day and will be tough to say the least but with it being at home, i see the ducks getting a close win. @ michingan will be a slugfest but i see michigan winning. @ Wisconsin is a trap game but the ducks should pull it off. Oregon should definitely smack down Washington this year at home, trying to prove a point after the last few loses from them. All in all i see them going either 11-1 or 10-2.

I agree with everything you said about the Oregon schedule except the Michigan game. I think they are more likely to lose to Ohio State than they are Michigan. The problems going to be for Michigan that they’re not really gonna be able to score because Oregon is going to have an amazing defense this year and improved from last year. Oregon has a balanced offense. They don’t even pass the ball a ton. Yes Michigan ran the ball a lot last year and that is true, but they lost so much on offense. They better hope that defense can hold Oregon and the offense can score some points because Oregon is not gonna be stopped from scoring points. They’re only gonna be limited. Michigan is gonna take a step back this year because they don’t have their coach anymore and they lost so much with the whole team . Oregon has an amazing running game. Also that cannot be overstated. They always have great offensive lineman, and they have a great stable of running backs.

Thanks for doing some research before making your video, it’s kind of a rarity.
Nix was a very willing runner. He got hurt in 2022 running the football and it likely cost them a playoff spot. I believe Lanning had him on a short leash in 2023 because the backup was not good. I’m not sure if James will even be the starter next season. He was great in 2023 but Whittington is returning and was ahead of him before he got hurt. James actually had better stats than Irving last season. I believe Alexander is a much bigger pickup than Muhammad, it’s just no one knows about him yet. Overall you have some really good takes.
