Back in 1999, Mang Gerry approached me and my family while waiting for Regine inside the Music Museum for her R2K concert. I miss, Mang Gerry a lot! He was so humble and accommodating considering that we were just one of the million admirers of her daughter. Truly, a kind soul that was an instrument for us to enjoy the music of the one and only Regine Velasquez!
now i know why my friend loves you so much ever since highschool days.. I remembered her cutting or ripping any article or picture of you sa mga newspaper sa school library namin noon and panakaw pa yun 😁.. At isa xa sa mga fans mo na hindi ka iniwan noong 25th Anniversary concert mo.. she was there.. and now i understand why.. Its not just your talent, its you.. everything about you!! You are simply amazing!

But for me, what makes you even more special is how you still decided to stay in the Philippines to become a full time OPM artist instead of chasing for further international glory even after tasting international recognition and success abroad for 4 years. Kasi hindi mo maiwanan ang pamilya mo at hindi mo kaya yung pagyurak sa pagiging Pilipino mo. You showed na may value pa rin pala in staying sa Pilipinas. Hello po Ms. Regine. Wala ka nang dapat patunayan. Hindi mo na kailangang magpasirku sirko or kung ano pa man. Brand na po ang name niyo when it comes to music industry. Magcrack ka man, pumiyok ka man, magkamali. Minahal ka na ng mga tao for so many years. Hindi ka naman po starting or baguhan pa lang. Baka nga yung bad moments mo sa singing e the best na ng iba. Understandable na yung changes sa singing voice mo. Hindi naman pabata ang mga tao. Yung mga contemporaries mo internationally ganun din naman. Buit honestly mas gusto ko yung quality ng voice mo ngayon. Good luck po.

We've watched her transition from a probinsyana to a cute girl next door to a larger than life superstar, a wife and a mother, and now a woman who speaks with that hard-earned wisdom and maturity that only comes through the years.

She is so humble to admit that she is no longer the same as she was before and that her voice is no longer reliable as it was before. Ang hirap para sa isang katulad niya na mag admit ng mga weaknesses dahil it has been her strength. The moment she also mentioned about the Miss Saigon, that singing a song in a routine without letting her to adlib will make her crazy. hahhaha. She is an artist even back then and her exploration made her who she is right now.
Rexie Dalisay the voice changes in texture throughout the years even when you are not a singer. Its just that u can tell hers changed so much because when she sings her songs from over 2 decades, its not the same quality

Niala Adiva it’s changed but not for the worst. In fact her voice as it is right now would be comparable to a young up and coming pop singer in the US. Like she said, singing no longer comes as easily as before but considering that SHE HAS NOT LOWERED ANY OF THE KEYS TO HER SONGS, and can still sing the ORIGINAL KEY OF ALL MARIAH CAREY SONGS THAT SHE COVERS, and sometimes even surpasses her previous renditions as in the case with SHINE, what other female pop singer in the US, Asia, or Europe can do that? No one. All of them like Celine Dion and Mariah Carey have resorted to lip synching in their Las Vegas concerts. It’s because she’s been gifted with a golden set of pipes and she took care of her voice, and stuck to a relatively healthy singing technique that has outlasted the tests of time.
