Saving my Cat from ANEMIA | Signs,Causes&Treatment

Anaemia is the term used to describe reduced numbers of red blood cells (RBCs or erythrocytes) in the circulation. When animals become anaemic, their ability to absorb oxygen from the air and deliver it to tissues in the body becomes very compromised and this can lead to many different problems, but is often manifested as weakness and lethargy. In severe cases, it will also cause an increased respiratory effort as the animal tries to get more oxygen in the lungs to improve the level of oxygen in the circulation.
Untreated, anaemia can be a debilitating disease, and if severe can be life-threatening. Unfortunately, cats are particularly prone to the development of anaemia. This is partly because their RBCs have a shorter lifespan (around 70 days) than many other animals (around 110-120 days in dogs and humans) - this means they have a higher turnover of RBCs and anaemia can, therefore, develop quite rapidly if anything interferes with this. Also, cats suffer from a number of different diseases and infections that can cause anaemia.

My Siamese has anemia too recently and the vet gave her ferous soulmate iron medicine and she has vitamins too and also anthehistamine

hayst ganito case ng pusa ko now eh parang nasa boderline na siya ng pagiging anemic, nag try ako painom ng resetang vit. B last month kaso after ng ilang days na stress yata nagtago at nagkasakit so tinigil ko. now sinusubukan ko itakas sa food vitamins nya sana lumakas din mingming ko

My cat has severe anemia & has been in the hospital for 2 days now. Our bill is $500 so far. I'm in the US. The bill aslo includes a blood test & steroid shot.

They wanted to charge us $2k for blood transfusion and then the other expenses would start.. sadly we had let our loving cat pass.

@@Imazdadrags that's a lot I think I only paid $300 for the transfusion but my furbaby didn't make it. he had cancer so it was just eating up the donated blood we had to let him go as well🌈 sometimes things are out of our hands /: I put in a lot of money into my cat and still couldn't save him at that point

Every cat condition is different so u can't give medicine on ur own by seeing in video so first proper check by vet is needed then according to the cat condition they will provide iron suppliment n tonic supplen some antibiotic ... mine has blood parasite distemper everything so they gave some antiobiotic n iron suppliment n tonic so take ur cat to vet n check first wether its just anemia or other issues.... for anemia my vet prescribed mediron suppliment it will help to increase blood in pet .... but as i say earlier is it just anemia or other condition too u need to check properly first

Hello po yes caused by kidney failure (renal failure).ok naman na siya so far , marami din ibang possible cause like toxins, infections, or genetic diseases.
