Door Handle Repair 1990 Olds 98 Regency

In this video I'll demonstrate how to repair the outside door handle on one of the rear doors on my 1990 Olds 98 Regency. Dorman sells the rod clips to repair these, and I found mine in stock at AutoZone. Thanks for watching.

I’ll never own this vehicle but it was interesting watching your process. It reminded me of doing a similar job on my old 1997 Land Rover discovery. Thankfully the clips were brass on that, not plastic.

Good job! I dread doing this, but I know it is a matter of time. BTW, if you ever have to replace a power window motor/tape, I sure you will make a video of it!!!

There's a guy called PostalRedneck who made a video replacing the window regulator tape. He has quite a few videos on these cars as well.

I just replaced both my motors on my 90 delta 88, it isn’t fun. You have to remove 5 rivets and slide the whole assembly off the track on the actual glass. You can then move the assembly over to the speaker hole and drill out the 3 rivets out that attach the motor, then you can either bolt it or rivet it all back together in the reverse of the disassembly
