Hello Ron! Your video was the best! I have a few small holes that needed to be filled, and gaps between counter and wall. I plan to tile wall but the gap!!! You came to my rescue! Thank you
Thank you so much for this video! I'm about to attempting my first backsplash and this has given me some confidence to get the wall ready. I appreciate it!
Absolutely amazing Ron,you are the man👍🏾tell sis hello. And just so you know you looked like a pro explaining everything and so natural in front of the camera 👍🏾
Ron you always do great work. when I have home improvement questions I check to see if you have a video of it first. My husband and I are doing projects on our 100 year old home now every evening and weekend so I thank you for all the help so far. Keep on taking good care of my girl she has glow I love seeing bless you both see you all in the next video. Yvonne
I'm going to wind up using a different technique and replacing bigger sheets of drywall but just wanted to say thank you so much for a video that shows an imperfect starting point. So huge. Subscribed!
Thank you for this information sir. I am repairing damaged drywall in my bathroom that was down to the brown paper with compound. But in the area behind where the toilet installs some soft spots have appeared from dampness I think. I thought I was hooped until I stumbled onto your video. I am not great at this sort of thing, but watching you repair the drywall with pieces with ease has given me hope that I might be able to stumble through this project and complete it. Thanks for giving freely of your expertise in order that a amateur like me has hope where there was none.
This is so helpful! I'm trying to save a little money by removing my backsplash myself and prepping the surface for a pro to come in and tile it quickly. This answered all my questions and help me feel a little more confident about doing quick repairs. Thank you!
I love the video I love the way you were giving instructions the way you were teaching it your sense of humor it's like working with a great friend... Can't wait to see when it's all finished you do a remarkable job you see the love and what you do and for that I enjoy watching as well as Sharon she does the same with what she does.. ❤️👍😌
Hey Ron. I'm a DIYer too. I learned a lot from this video. I have an application where I can use that Great Stuff foam. From one Gary person to another, you did that! Now, I need to watch your Smart Home videos. Thanks!
Appreciate the diy videos Ron. I’m planning to put my house up for sale in the spring and what I can do myself in the house will save a lots of time and money. I’m going to stay in my lane though, so I don’t make a bigger job. You and Sharon are so good together, you have laid that house OUT. Put a patent on that big TV stand you built, it’s outstanding. Love you guys.
Thank you so much for this tutorial. The entire process that you did in this video, I have to do to my kitchen wall. I am installing porcelain tile using Mussel Bound adhesive tile mat. My nephew thought that he was helping by covering the wall with tile adhesive not knowing what my plans were for the backsplash. I am now in the process of removing a bucket of tile adhesive from the section where the tile is going to be placed. Thank you!
Hi Ron, Great job and another great video.. We really appreciate your helping tips..The house looks AMAZING!! Be Blessed & You and Sis Have a Fantastic Week!!❤️🙏🏼
Enjoy watching you do what you do. You are sooo good at it. I like how you suggest or do little helpful tips that someone may not have thought of or just don't know about.
I would have to but I wanted to do one for those who struggle with measuring around all the boxes and cabinets. Total time for me was about three hours.
It depends on the situation. If you have multiple customers waiting yes I would’ve tore through that drywall and would’ve took me at least 7 hrs to finish that backsplash that same day and made my $1,200 and went to the next customer. So it’s not all about patience. it’s assessing the current situation and figuring out the logistics.
I do tile work for a living my minimum is 500$ just to install new sheetrock, so Ron's technique might be time consuming but definitely worth the savings for a customer. Keep up the good work 👍👍
Awesome video thank you for sharing. This Information hubby and I will use on our next project. Loving your channel it has helped us a lot with our home remodel.
I just found your channel and am so grateful! I love your very careful explanations and excellent demonstrations. I'm trying to renovate an old kitchen on a very tight budget and am learning SO MUCH from you about how to do things right without breaking the bank.
Love this video I redoing my entire kitchen and it helped me this will b my 2nd time putting up back splash I will b watching I do lots of home improvements.
This looks useful. I'm in UK and just taken tiles off plasterboard wall. Got some plasterboard damage and where not, have old adhesive which is bumpy. So looks like I cut out n repair damaged plaster and re-smooth the uneven legacy tile adhesive. I assume that's right?
You solved a mystery for me! I’m an older female fixing up a rental unit so that I can retire and have a little extra income. I hired a handyman to replace the kitchen backsplash and the result was so unbelievably bad that I tore it out and replaced it myself, by watching videos like this. He left a tool behind, and I had no idea what it was. I threw it in my miscellaneous tools collection. Anyway, the mystery is solved! It’s a drywall bit like you showed! I wish I had seen this video first, as I could have saved time and money by doing it myself from the beginning. One mistake I made was using tile that looks like a small circle. Being so small, about the size of a half-dollar, it was very difficult to get a grip on and cut straight. Lots of wasted tiles. In the future, I’ll only use the straight, long “subway” tiles.
Hey Brother Ron 😻You are the BOMB😻This video was very professional and easy to understand 😻Thanks for the tips and tricks 😻that you have shared with us👍🏾👍🏾
Hi Ron, I enjoyed that video you are such a very precise like you say you don’t like the cut corners you want it the end product to look perfect and how you lay the tile afterwards it was wonderful cost big holes were in the wall and you made it perfect to lay the tile I enjoy your videos👏👏👏👏💕🥰

To my people who don’t have patience, how many of you would’ve just put new drywall up?🙋🏾♀️🙋🏾♀️🙋🏾♀️🙋🏾♀️🙋🏾♀️🙋🏾♀️ Great video Ron.
I would have to but I wanted to do one for those who struggle with measuring around all the boxes and cabinets. Total time for me was about three hours.
I was thinking the exact same thing, time consuming I rather do new dry wall, but I do understand his point of view as well...
I would’ve called a friend to do it. That’s a lot of work. Great job!!

Great job Ron. I would only say I was panicking when I seen that the brand new countertops wasn’t covered as you were working🤦🏽♀️
Me too! And I was looking to see if someone comment on it. I was thinking what kind of counter tops are those.
If I was doing it for someone else, I would t have covered them but, it is rock…and way harder than dust. Cleaned right up👍🏾
Since it is water solvable and it can be easily removed just like the cabinets your gonna clean your counter tops anyway it's all good
Hey Ron, Great job on the tanks. I love watching you and Sharon . Off topic, I need you to install a Ring doorbell for my Sis Sharon. That way when a package has arrived she'll be notified by Alexa. Thank you in advance ☺️
