- Welcome Gardeners! I’m headed home in a few hours, but I decided to stop off at a garden center I’ve heard is a “can’t miss.” Bauman’s Farm and Gardens did NOT disappoint! Not only did I find fresh veggies, cider, beautiful plants and containers, but I found lots and lots and lots of Proven Winners Annuals! 🌸 Enjoy!

Is it just me or is Janey's content getting better and better. You definitely have a plant for a spirit animal
It reminds me of my mom.. no matter where she went she would always be deadheading and cleaning dead leaves off of neglected plants at the dentist office or any business really.. and she would always find other random plant lovers to chat with about plants.. it used to drive me crazy as a teenager I remember thinking people were going to think she was nuts but then some other plant nut would come along and they would chat about how to get rid of spider mites for 20 minutes. Plant people are just drawn to plants and other plant people I guess
I agree! It used to be my morning routine to wake up and have coffee and watch a different garden channels video but anymore, I watch Janie first. (And skip the other channels content) She is always so inspiring and is so relatable. 💚

What a nice guy, his love of plants really shined thru. I'd be willing to bet, all of us who live no where near this farm, have FOMO. How proud must the previous generations be of what the younger ones have done with the farm. Wish one of the dozens of farms near me would have done this.
Lucky enough to live 25 minutes away! It’s a favorite. Get an $8 lunch, sweets (their cider donuts are the best) and shop for home and garden stock!! They’ve done a fabulous job!

This was the sweetest thing to watch! Janie is the best interviewer. She asks great questions and allows the person being interviewed to answer in detail. FOMO - You said it, I missed out on you being here in my town Woodburn and I'm so glad you found your way to Bauman's and Brian. I feel so privileged to live here, I am a Master Gardener and we have worked with Brian in the past and had huge fun events there. What a treasure he is!
Brain is truly an artist. He didn't know me, but years ago he used to live next door to my friend and his balcony flowers were phenomenal! They trailed down the whole side of the building. The combinations were outstanding.
I am excited to hear of their new area opening. This is the perfect place to set yourself right with the rest of the world and plants to boot! 5:36

Who else thinks Janey needs to title these videos “FOMO: xyz garden center” LOL. Thank you for sharing this with us. I’ll never get up that way but it was nice to be able to see another beautiful space and the people behind it who obviously love what they do. And kudos to the Bauman family for 1) allowing each other to pursue their passions within the family business and 2) encouraging and supporting each other. I think that’s amazing and truly how a family business can grow over 4 generations.

I undoubtedly need to be more grateful that I have access to similar large nurseries and gardens in Michigan.❤. FYI-when I travel near Detroit to see family, I purchase lots of proven winners annuals. I stack bulb crates in my SUV, 15 plants fit in each one.!

Your excitement for Proven Winners is infectious. I know you partner with them but the pure joy you have is so genuine. Here in Florida we have a hard time finding PW but I do the same thing when I see them at a garden center. So much so, my husband will point out the white pots for me. ❤

You found one of my favorite nurseries! They are awesome. I always go there multiple times a year. You didn’t show it, but they also have an incredible bakery in their store.

I'm soooo envious - it's 2,400 miles away for me so I've got some serious FOMO going on! This is the coolest place I've seen and I know I would be hanging out there all the time. My garden would be well stocked and so would my pantry! I grew up in Oregon but had to move to many US cities because of my husband's job but finally because of our previous move, I was able to live in Oregon again and I so miss it. I never knew about this farm but now that I live in SC, Oregon owns my heart. I wish I could visit there. Beautiful!!

Gazanias were native to Southern Africa. They’re beautiful perennial flowers. The best part is that the flowers go to sleep at night and open up when the sun comes up.

I live 4 hours from Baumans and go there a couple times a year to get my fix.
First trip is planned for this month.
It is the only place in Oregon so far that I have found with a lot of proven winner plants and land and sea compost.
Janey you need to come check them out in the summer and or fall when all their flowers on the trellises are in bloom. Spectacular show. Your girls will love all of the animals as well. The goats walk along the bridge and so friendly.
Also they have the best employees! They are so helpful and kind.
I love Bauman’s! I feel like I'm there every other weekend buying plants! They have the best apple cider doughnuts. I do feel lucky!❤

I’ve been going to Bauman’s for 18 years and I never knew that they’re open year round or that they have all of this events happening all thru the year. Oh gosh… I’ve been living under a rock! When I said yesterday that there are only a few places I've found PW annuals locally, THIS was one of those. I found Dichondra Silver Falls there last summer and it actually wintered over in a pot that I kept somewhat protected. It was fun to see the behind-the-scenes tour with Brian. Great timing! You have prompted me to go again soon. I hate crowds but I might even brave Garden Palooza just to get my hands on the Pink Cashmere and Vintage Coral. Thanks again for visiting us here in the Willamette Valley!
