  • If your having problems with your OE Mopar headlight doors opening/shutting, you may need to test the vacuum actuators and headlight switch. The OE system is 100% mechanical and can be temperamental. In this video I walk through some of the steps involved when checking the functionality of the actuators and headlight switch, offering a few tips to help get your headlight doors functioning properly.
Check out the chapter index below to skip ahead to the parts that are most relevant for you.

Great video, thanks for the thorough explaination of how the system works!
I'm wondering how you were able to get the lights so synchronized, both when opening, but also closing (you mentioned that you were able to fix it after the video)?
My light Doors open and close well, but one is lagging behind, similar to in the video when you closed the Doors. Would love to get mine working as well as yours!

We ended up replacing some of the vacuum lines and if I remember correctly the vacuum canister/reservoir was also replaced with a new unit. TBH it was a real pain in the neck to get them synchronized (as close as we could).
