Our first Celebrity cruise was in 2016 on the Equinox! Last sailing before shut down was on the revamped Equinox in Feb 2020! Our first cruise back post-was on Millennium 2/2022. Did Edge in 2019 and scheduled for Constellation in Jan 2023! Love the Elite class Enjoy we are hooked on Celebrity!
We got cancelled twice on Equinox, ended on Reflection, which is a twin ship, we are finally going on Equinox November 3rd, can’t wait. Love Celebrity! We did Aqua on Reflection, we are doing concierge now, we’ll see! 😊 I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Besides the Infinity this is my next favorite ship. The casino was unkind to me but my favorite thing was how easy it was to transfer OBC to the machines. Thanks for sharing.😎
I look forward to this series. We were in port with the Celebrity Equinox in 2019 and it looked like a great ship. My husband is particularly interested in the shady seating on the pool deck. He’s a solarium guy and noticed some good-looking space where he can be out in the heat but not in the sun.
Another cruise!! Wow - a 10 day'er! Very noice, and SO many wonderful ports - we've only been to St. Kitts of that line-up (which leaves us plenty to still explore!) That interior cabin is indeed gigantic! The juggler looked like he gave a very fun show, which isn't easy on a cruise ship.
Love the islands your going to visit , hope you get to go to jollys beach in Antigua, its beautiful, have a great time guys love your blogs looking forward to the rest x❤
Done Equinox about 4 times. Still my favorite ship. Twice as aqua class which kinda jaded me. Finally going on Edge as suite class though next year which may further jade me. But Equinox will always hold a place in my heart. I love the solarium hot tubs.
Equinox is one of my favorites! Loved your live from the Equinox and glad to see your videos coming out. Our room was just around the corner from the chairs you were in for your live.....I recognized the location instantly and was so happy to see you there. 😊
My husband and I will be in the Equinox in January. It will be our 3rd time on it but this time it is a 9 day to the ABC's and Grand Cayman. Can't wait to sail her again
This was such a fun vlog, great start to the series. From Jay's reaction to the safety briefing, to the finger dancers, to the pp room review, hilarious.
We were on Equinox week after you, loved it, our first Celebrity! Was amazing cruise, especially food. Interior room was great. Can’t wait to reminisce through your series ❤
Hi Jay and Dee, I have sailed on Celebrity once and that was back in 2004 on the Horizen. So I am trying to get familiar with Celebrity again. Thanks so much for this fun video and giving some great information. We are booked on her in May 2023 for my 60th birthday and we also have a inside cabin and I do love how there is lots of room and plenty of storage, but with there was a shower wand. 🤣 My questions are when you booked the glass blowing class on the app where did you find it, cause that is something I want to do and we also have anytime dining and do you suggest reserving dinner time before the cruise or on the ship?
Awesome! We booked the glass class on the website ahead of time, which saved some bucks. It’s usually under a shore excursion or onboard activity type section. With the flexible dining, we always set up tentative dining times ahead of time, yes. Better safe than sorry, ha ha!! :P
@@parodeejay Thanks a bunch for answering my questions. I will go look at the website and we will definitely set up our dinner reservations ahead of the cruise. I am looking forward to watching more of your upcoming Equinox videos. I am currently watching video #2. Have a wonderful day!
We will be on Equinox in May so very curious to see and hear your impressions of her on this series! Also, we loved St. Lucia on our port stop back in 2013; one of those destinations I'd love to go back to and have a land vacation. A 10-day cruise, what a treat!
Love your vlogs. Going on the Edge in April for 11 day southern cruise so really looking forward to your port days. First time on Celebrity and excited already 😄
The last I knew, the Corning Museum of Glass stopped doing the electric hot glass shop onboard Celebrity Cruises. Do you know if this was CMOG? They were the first ones that ever had an electric hot glass shop onboard any shop, and as far as I know Celebrity ships were the only ones to have them.
We didn’t enjoy the Equinox style of buffet as much as the M-class ones. Maybe because Equinox had more of an open Windjammer feel, which isn’t our favorite. Infinity felt more linear with better controlled flow, less chaos. Selection seemed about the same for both.
Hi Dee and Jay, I've been thinking about jumping on the Celebrity Equinox as well. However, the Sail away party sure looked pretty lame. I guess the demographics onboard Celebrity are older and more subdued? What I'm really excited about is the itinerary you guys took. Although I have done 24 Cruises, (18 Carnival, 5 NCL and 1 Royal Caribbean Oasis Class), I have never been to Barbados, St. Lucia, St. Kitts, etc. QUESTION: I thought this part of the Caribbean was referred to as the "Far West Indies" or Eastern Caribbean, but you referred to it as Southern Caribbean?
You typically select your boarding time when you do the online check-in process, same time that you provide your passport/ID information, credit card, etc.
The only Celebrity ship we've ever cruised on is the Silhouette, which is an Equinox sister ship. It was a beautiful ship however, Celebrity sacrificed a lot of public space for more shops on the Silhouette. We also had a standard interior cabin. While its overall size was impressive, we didn't like how the toilet was jammed in between the shower and the cabinet. It left little more room to conduct business than an airplane bathroom would. Still, I would recommend this class of ship.
@@parodeejay lol love it! Just wanted to know because you had mention the age demographics. An I always see Dee partying he heart out. I've heard that anything other than Carnival can be a bit...slow pace.
We talk about our situation all the time, total transparency! We’ve had some folks complain that we talk about it TOO much actually, ha ha. We both own our own businesses and can work from ships or anywhere in the world that we have internet access!! :P
You guys are too funny. We are on the Equinox in 4 weeks. Thanks for the tour.

Ooo, this should be fun. S class ships are our fav ships. Been on the Silhouette thrice, the Reflection & the Eclipse.

We’ve just booked the Equinox for this same itinerary for Nov 2023 because of you 💕💕😊
Our Favorite Ship! Hope you both enjoy as much as we do. Enjoy!
Yes, awesome on another great adventure can’t wait to see the days ahead and your interesting ports of call!
I am officially a huge fan. Love the side Commentary
Hope you both enjoy it! Going on this same ship and ports in December! Thanks for sharing, I get a preview!😊

I cruised that itinerary way back in 2002. It was fabulous!
I love all those ports. You'll love it
I am rewatching you because we are now onboard Equinox, big difference, we had a great sail away party!

Love the Equinox been on twice going on the Beyond in 3 weeks First time also enjoyed the Millennium can't beat celebrity.
Sailed on Equinox three times so far. Great choice!
The dinner picture conversation about hiding his belly and Jay’s co-signing 😅. Looks fun guys!
I love this ship 😊

I just love you guys, J you are so funny 😂 but I watch all your videos xx
Your cabin looks great. The ship is beautiful, but seems a bit confusing to navigate.
We love Celebrity
I have always wanted to sail on the Equinox. Would you recommend it for first time Celebrity cruisers?
Sure, it would be a great introduction to Celebrity!! :D
@@parodeejay good to know😉
Love embarkation days vlogs ♥️♥️♥️
I just booked a 10 days cruise with Celebrity Silhouette from Miami! Different itinerary (upper Antilles).
Did you have any issues with hurricane ian? I assume this vlog was right before or right after 😯
We didn’t! Our ship pulled out of the east side of Florida a couple of days before the storm came into the west side!!
So glad to hear!!
I'm here for it!
Was on that ship in May for east Caribbean: doing your same 11 day cruise in two weeks on the Edge!!!
Loving it!
What determines your boarding time? Booked for Feb 2024 on Equinox.
You typically select your boarding time when you do the online check-in process, same time that you provide your passport/ID information, credit card, etc.
@@parodeejay How was parking at the terminal? Plenty of spaces during that boarding time?
We've never had issues finding parking at Port Everglades. Their garage is shared between a couple of ships, but it's pretty spacious!!
This will be our first time out of Port Everglades and on Celebrity since 2004 witch was on the Constellation. So pardon me if I pick your brain.
Hi Jay & Dee! Have a great day!

Good morning Dee and Jay. I like your vlog. Sorry for my english i am coming from Belgium 😉
I would love to be friends with Jay! He seems so cool! On my first cruise ever I hope I get to meet him!
Thanks for the walkthrough. Can someone comment on internet quality? Need to work a bit and if internet is not good makes it take sooo much longer.
p p room review...lol 😂
Barbados is my favorite.
So happy to start a new cruise this morning. What’s your favorite port to sail from?
Quite interesting if you have my time dining and can only get after 8 pm kind of loses its choice…early would be better
We ate at about 5:45pm every day with the flexible dining on this ship. Not too shabby!! :D
Did Jay just call Audrey Hepburn “a lady on a bike?” Sir! 🤦🏻♀️
Hey there! How old are you guys? If you don’t mind me asking
Old enough to know better, and still too young to care!! :P
@@parodeejay lol love it! Just wanted to know because you had mention the age demographics. An I always see Dee partying he heart out. I've heard that anything other than Carnival can be a bit...slow pace.
@@parodeejay it's why we are afraid to venture off.
What would you say throughout all of your travels has been your favorite/sturdiest/longest lasting brand of large checked luggage?
Probably Dee’s current suitcase, which is a Ben Sherman 28” hardside model.
There seems to be a lot of elevators.
We love celebrity but have noticed if they'd had any negatives it would be their desserts
Beware! They will keep $100 per guest if you book a future cruise onboard and later decide to cancel it! We just lost $200.
I been there you will love the ports. but not on this ship.
Do you both not have jobs? How do you travel so much wtf. Zero transparency.
We talk about our situation all the time, total transparency! We’ve had some folks complain that we talk about it TOO much actually, ha ha. We both own our own businesses and can work from ships or anywhere in the world that we have internet access!! :P
