You have unbelievable talent and it’s wonderful of you to share it with others who perhaps are lucky enough to have a apprenticeship. With that being said Daniel, you should definitely be offering in person TATTOO workshops teaching people in person for so many days at a time.
Thank you for taking the time to leave kind feedback and thank you for your support! I appreciate you.
It is very very kind of you to recommend that to me, I don't see myself much of a teacher so this sort of idea does not really ever cross my mind but when you mention it this is not something that I am against. Should this be something I take on in the near future I will make an announcement to let you know.
Thank you for the great idea.
@@DanielYuck I would be very interested in taking part in that. Open to being one of the first. Thank you for your time.
I think it be a great idea, but it might take away from his real daily job? But I bet you. He can make more money this way ;)
I'd pay 200$ for a 4 hr session with him
Bring my own supplies. If not I'd pay 400 if he had to provide the supplies. Thats just a person. 8 people pay 400 for 4 hours that's a decent amount in 4 hours lol.
@@gogetit1431 that’s awesome to hear! I will definitely make an announcement on my TH-cam channel and social medias should this be something I ever setup and do.
I appreciate you taking the time to drop a comment and leave your feedback. Thank you.
Thank you Daniel!!
Small comment for applying stencil with speed stick / deodorant stick is not allowed in different states its against Health dept codes for stencils on fake skin they work great just for your information my state its a violation
Once again another great idea. Thank you for continual support.
Irish!!!!! Thank you for your feedback and for your continued support. I greatly appreciate you. I am also grateful that I am able to help you in a better direction with your tattooing journey.
Fantastic informative video Daniel! Thank you!! :D
NEON!! Thank you for the kind feedback and thank you for your continued support! I appreciate you.
Great advice Daniel! I can’t tell you how many tattoo stencils I lost while practicing on fake skins, until I started ghost lining or blood lining. It truly makes a difference. Thanks for sharing!🙏Poppy
POPPY!!!! I haven't heard from you in a good while! It is great to hear from you! I hope all is well on your end.
Also thank you for taking the time to leave a comment and for your feedback! I appreciate you.
Daniel this was awesome!! I have to admit a big fear/weakness I have when it comes to my tattoo journey is getting the Stencil just right. I am going to give both the ghost line and dot line method a try! I know I need a great deal more practice, but thanks to you I don't feel as lost. You are the best wealth of information this side of youtube. Blessings to you and your family brother!
Gavin!!! It’s always great to hear from you. I want to thank you for the time you take to leave comments on my videos and I want to thank you for the time you put into watching my videos. I am forever grateful for your time and your support.
I have the exact same fear! Haha I never want to lose my stencil when I tattoo. I wanted a safety net for myself and I feel this is the closest thing to a safety net I can provide myself when or should I ever lose a tattoo stencil.
I feel that this approach is by far the best way to go about mapping out my design and essentially it is switching out the carbon purple stencil for a fainted line version of the stencil. I look at it like the new ghost or blood lines are the new stencil to help guide me through. We can use dots and have a connect the dot sort of approach or we can use simple faint thin lines. I feel it is whatever we are more comfortable with.
Thank you again Gavin! I appreciate you 🤝
Great video, personally i like doting.
I do the same thing with larger stencils, but I use a light gray wash
Ohhh that is a great tip! Thank you for your time, comment and feedback.
I feel it would be better using the lightest tone of black that we feel comfortable using. I would also use a very very light grey wash maybe the 20% dynamic pre made grey wash set.
Thank you for the helpful video! What voltage are you running at?
You're welcome Matt! I greatly appreciate you, your time and your support! I am running at 5 volts even for this entire demonstration. Anytime I use a smaller needle such as a 3RL I typically run at 5 volts depending on the machine I am using.
This happened to me last week when i was tattooing a panther on my own thigh i lost almost 70% of my stencil within the first half hour due to over wiping , had a total melt down panic, luckily i was able to lay a new stencil and line it up perfect so i was able to finish the tattoo which turned out fantastic, but being armed with this nugget of knowledge from yourself i think i will apply this method on my next tattoo i do on myself, is this the same as blood lining? i have heard that term used a lot but never really looked into what this is? Thanks Daniel again for your time and help you provide in your videos also just wanted to add a quick thankyou to you for your workshop books you sell on amazon they are so great and have improved my fundamentals so so so much in a short time so thankyou sir. keep up the great work.
Oh noooo! That’s a very very scary feeling that I can relate too. I think it’s awesome that you thought on the fly and reapplied the stencil back on perfectly which is hard to do. I have thought of that but I wanted another way to kind of act as a safety net just Incase I ever experienced stencil loss and these methods I shared in this video are my safety nets haha.
It means the world to me that you enjoy my tattoo workbooks! I put my all into them so to hear that makes me feel happy and accomplished. I am grateful that you find yourself improving quickly. We can practice any time, any place which I felt would only contribute to swifter progression.
Thank you for your kind feedback and your support. I appreciate you 🤝
I’m going to try this, it would be a great relief not to have to worry so much about losing the stencil. But on human skin doesn’t this mean we’ve gone over the skin an extra time and caused more damage? Even though the ghost lining is shallow, only in the first layer of skin as I understand (so it falls out later as the skin cells replace themselves)…. I thought doing a line in one pull is the ideal, i.e. not even going over the skin twice, if we can help it.
Thank you I thought I was one of the only ones that would do that! 😂
Haha you’re welcome!
Thank you as well for taking the time to drop a comment and leave your feedback. I feel this approach can be rather scary for those who are not familiar with it or the purpose of ghost lining. For me it was something that I had to work up into to fully understand why and when to use ghost lines.
This came to me also when I was losing my stencil. I started to panic a bit due to the fact that it was almost all gone, so I improvised on the spot. Your absolutely right it can be a little nerve wrecking if you don’t know what you’re doing and it does take practice
@DanielYuck Do you use dental bibs to wipe?
That’s a good question!
No I don’t use dental bibs to wipe. I actually have not incorporated dental bibs into my setup. For this demonstration I am using Scott shop wipes. I use Scott shop wipes for practice on fake skin, and I use MD WipeOutz for human skin.
hELLO Daniel how do you clean stencil from fake skin?
Hello Mik! It really depends on the part of the process you are talking about. During the process of tattooing on the fake skin or after we are done tattooing on the fake skin?
@@DanielYuck yeas when it s done i read that bleach does the job if you live it 8 hours.
hey daniel what ointment do you recommend to use on the skin to apply a thin layer?
For human skin, I love to use Inkeeze ointments. Any Inkeeze ointment will work wonderfully from my experience.

You'd be better off grey lining or "blood" lining, since you aren't always going to have pure black in the final design on all of your lines, particularly in realism where you would be stenciling shadow/highlight breaks.
That’s definitely not a bad approach or logic, I appreciate you sharing.
It really depends on the artist and the design at hand I feel. I don’t mind ghost lining when necessary and I don’t mind full saturation when necessary.
use a hair dryer on cool and it will dry the stencil fast or even use heat from it
Thank you for the feedback, time and recommendation. When I use fake skin I typically will use a heat gun to dry the stencil within seconds.
I wanted to create this video with the intent to share an approach that we can take when it comes to stencil loss which can translate over to human skin as well. We'd be able to use the tips in this video on human skin should we ever find ourselves in a situation where we lose our stencil. Hair dryers and heat guns work great to dry a stencil.
chill with the hands
I do try to be mindful of my hand movements but once I get going they have a mind of their own.
@@DanielYuck only teasing lol
@@WhozaCardoza haha it’s all ok.
I do try to be mindful but once I get to speaking I kind of zone out on my hands and focus more on the info I am trying to relay. I got a lot going on upstairs sometimes haha
Thank you tho for taking the time to drop a comment. I appreciate it.

The stencil maybe be gone but the memories I have of the stencil will live on forever.
