That coconut milk looked so beautiful, I just wanted to grab the bowl through the screen and drink it. Thank you for sharing. I can't wait to make this.
This was the one thing I wanted my mother to teach me to cook and she never did! Omg I'm so in love with you right now. Thank you sooo much for all the videos you do! I'm far from home, but you help to bring it a little closer :)
She reminds me of my grandma...I remember eating this as a child it's been a while. I'm definitely going to make this and the traditional way. Thank you for uploading!
Hi Fay, just wanted to say you're such a pleasant lady. You remind me of my mom :) I cooked this recipe yesterday and my husband and mom in law loved it. I did a one pot mackerel rundown. Your version plus I just mixed foods like sweet potato and dumplings with the mackerel rundown. Thanks for the inspiration. Will be checking out your other videos. Much love.
Yum.. thanks for a great recipe. I'll probably do a twist by smoking the mackerel for awhile instead of boiling it. I'd imagine the smoky smooth coconut flavor will be nice.
Can substitute salt fish (salted cod fish) instead of mackrel. Also pick the bones out after boiling , its rather a painful experience to bite down on a bone
You are so cute AND your food looks delicious! you can be my mum? I dont have one. You can teach me how to cook everything coz i was never taught coz i dont have anyone to teach me.
For someone who has never done this recipe it is important that you show more details NOT showing the boiling process of the mackerel and giving a list of the seasoning means people tried the recipe and it was unsuccessful.
Can’t wait to make this! Me and my 2 sons just got back from 2 weeks in Jamaica 🇯🇲 and had this a few times out there x
I remember my Nana grating coconuts in the kitchen and always waiting for her to give me a piece , just memories !

She waited too late to add the ingredients too much oil shouldn't boil it so long

Leaving the skin on is a 'no-no'
I can't watch toooooo much talking about the coconut
It doesn't really help the stage by stage aunty fay mon. Chomon.
