    I did this with my Daewoo Matiz once. I guess the ECU has some of protection feature and shuts off the engine before it gets damaged, because the engine completely stopped and wouldn't start again, but once it cooled down it was ok and I still drive it 8 years later.

    This was a 14 year old car at the time of recording. Amazing as now we have similar or older cars on the road now in way better condition.

      Cars last a lot longer now easily get 15 years out of a modern car if you look after it.

    They killed a car that only travelled 200k kilometers... Crazy how wasteful our society is when it comes down to cars. I can only imagine how landfills will look like, covered in electric car batteries that only travelled 200k kilometers or even less.

      The car was going to be killed anyway, they got it from a scrap yard.

      Scrap car anyway so no big loss it was in the name of science to make people aware how important oil is.
