I love how this final version of Amanda isnt some one dimensional evil. She almost feels like a.. a lost child. It's so haunting. The devs improved a lot!
fun detail: if you hold up the bucket full of water in front of blabbot, he literally starts pleading for his life telling you that he loves you and such. its really sad but also extremely hilarious
When she was confused about the candy shop and she goes “NO WHY CANT I STOP IT?!” It literally sent chills down my body, both out of fear and feeling bad for her
YES!! The casting and voice acting in this game is incredible and unparalleled. You can tell the actors really cared about their roles, which is just fuckin amazing 👏
The fact that Amanda said sometimes she feels like she’s rotting but it’s far away makes me feel like Amanda isn’t a demon. Like she is a little girl who died and then her soul went into her favorite show. Now she’s lonely and becomes more and more twisted seeing kids having loving families that she doesn’t have.
I thought it was the little girl who went missing on her birthday, the father had mentioned "Got your favorite Mint Chocolate Chip" and then Amanda said "I love mint chocolate chip!"
A different take I like to have on this is that Amanda is simply a piece of Rebecca pushed through the “dynamic voice reaction” and the monster outside could be the rest of Rebecca, maybe trying to get the rest of herself. I lead that belief because Amanda, Rebecca(as we’ll call the monster), and the butcher all have different ways of making people go missing; Rebecca straight up eats them, the butcher turns them into meat in his shop, and Amanda makes kids go missing by teaching them morals unsuited for them(She says things like “sometimes mom and dad aren’t always right” and “it’s fun to buy things by yourself!” Which caused Lauren to disappear.) my leading theory on why Sam disappeared is that the monster didn’t always connect to Rebecca. Maybe this “dynamic voice system” was connected to the monster and that’s why Rebecca was a part of the mess.

You know what's even funnier, is that here in England we actually have some sort of mini cafe inside the post office and I do have to admit the cakes there are delicious. So yes Amanda I do like treats from the post office 😂
The whole pied-piper undertone is amazing. The main company name being Hameln with their logo as a mouse, hinting to the Hamelin story. The way that piper would use his flute to hypnotize and lure children/rats in the same way the show is used as a ‘flute’ to put kids in a trance to convince them to run away from home and then they simply just vanish. The catchphrase for Hameln being “Follow us to fun!” just hints that it’s true
@frauleinzuckerguss1906 in the states the story itself is less known, but there is a weird nursery rhyme type thing, where they say something that rhymes really really fast, which is centered around pied piper
Amanda, saying she can feel herself rotting sometimes far away. Blows my mind, freaks me out and shows that someone killed her which means she got stuck in it. Thank you for the likes. I was shocked. 😂
That's what I was thinking. Especially after the map he found pointing to a location in the woods. But when I saw it I thought that's where she hid Wooly but now I think it might be her. 🤷 The video might have been the other Amanda game he played before the full game came out.
I think it's because Amanda herself is frightening as the main antagonist, but the idea that *something else* is able to frighten *her* is very unsettling.
Amanda definitely isn’t a demon I hate those baseless assumptions. Lol she’s definitely a spirit possessing the tv but is neutral or maybe just in torment. Honestly I don’t know. Lol 739 morons liked rainboWZ GRQCE’s COMMENT
I think that when she says “I’m out there.. somewhere” And “I feel myself rotting” I think she means physically, like she had a physical body and she is still semi connected to it like she wants to be alive again
I like how sometimes it feels like Wooly is trying to nudge Amanda in the correct direction when she gets confused and other times Wooly is completely at her mercy. Like neither of them know what's going on.
I feel like Wooly actually has some idea what’s going on. And also understands (if this is true) that Amanda isn’t at fault. There is another force, a much more evil one, controlling her. Wooly can’t exactly do anything, he knows this, and so he may be scared but he still wants to help his friend. He tries to nudge Amanda in the correct direction when she is finally back in control of her mind, that’s why she is confused sometimes. Kind of like waking up in a new location, but having the guilt of 10 thousand murders. I could be wrong tho. I haven’t watched MatPats theories yet so this is just my observations. Also when Amanda says “I feel like I’m rotting”, popular theory but she may be one of the victims of the outer force, having been killed by them and soul stuffed into the show. Kinda like fnaf strangely enough… But take this a grain of salt. This is purely my observations, so no hard evidence. Nor will it be completely factually based (I can’t be completely unbiased, sorry).
Wooly does not want her demon form to be released into the real world so he tries to calm her down, but sometimes even he gets outraged. But in what’s a family?, he can’t do anything, he’s jušt å ñørmâł śhéé-é-éē-eęėp. Āłl ágàįńšt hiiiiiiíìîïīį-iiiss w w w w iiiiii l l . ÿõū çåń’t łét hèr òô - o - õ -ó ûuū
Love how Jack always chooses the "wrong" options to see what happens but immediately chooses the correct one when the cat is in danger. Also I think the food she wanted to share near the end may have been Woolly
It's so freaky how we were made to think wooly is like. a victim? in this (and he probably still is), but whenever Amanda seems to start remembering being Rebecca, or the things that happenedin her life, Wooly always redirects her, saying she's confused and "helps her" get back on track. She gets so scared when it comes to the butcher, asking th playing to help her. There's also a frame at some point (idk when tbch) where she and wooly are in there and she's turned away from a plate, seemingly about to hurl while he's just looking at it and smiling. In the other version of the tape, she sends cookies to kate, but can't remember her name, and Wooly expresses that he wants Amanda to get a special treat as well, but she ignores him. The fact that she seems a lot more distressed and confused and disoriented in the version of the tape where gets what he wants.... She seems a lot more like Rebecca in this full game whereas Wooly... idk what he is tbh. She definitely mistreats him and he seems genuinely afraid of her at times. But those other times?
Honestly the vibe I was getting was that Wooly is more a part of the game then Amanda is, like some sort of entity placed there to keep her on the right track, but Amanda is more "in charge" in a way. So he's genuinely scared of her, but still has to do his job and keep her from uncovering some kind of truth or something Or, alternatively, both Amanda and Wooly are children who got somehow trapped inside the tapes, but Wooly for some reason has more knowledge of what exactly is going on and has sort of resigned himself to his fate and knows it's easier to just not try to fight it, but Amanda keeps searching for answers and a way out and he's trying to gently redirect her away from doing that But I'm probably wrong, all I've seen of the game is this video, so there's probably some bits and pieces of lore I'm unaware of. But from what I've gathered so far, the company making this show seems to be the real villain, and Amanda and Wooly are both victims in a way
Fun fact: Hameln is a reference to “Hamelin” as in “The Pied Piper of Hamelin” who played a flute that lured rats away from the town, before he proceeded to lure the children away as well.
the part when Lauren's dad says "Mint Chocolate chip" as her favorite icecream and after Lauren disappears, Amanda says "I love mint chocolate chip" in the video right after Lauren disappeared, gave me the chills.
something tells me that lauren probably got transported into amanda right as her body disappeared. so technically, lauren might have been the one reacting, except she isn’t aware that her body went missing. especially with the whole “i can feel myself rotting somewhere” thing. i also decided to watch this at night and now i am very much freaking out silently
Right before the mom sets the phone down, you can hear Amanda say “it’s so fun to buy your own treats” implying she convinced Lauren to go out to get her own ice cream or something?
Makes me wonder about what happened to the barn, in the families tape. Heavy breathing, bloodshot eyes. Their final moments as a human must've been rough.
When she said “I’m out there somewhere” It made me think that she might be a missing person, and that her body is still out there undiscovered. Which would not only further explain why she reiterates feeling scared and alone, but the home video of the girl going missing. Perhaps there was some entity within the tapes, and it had taken the child. Now the child’s soul and the demons(?) soul coexist in Amanda, yet the rl child’s body has yet to found so her soul cannot rest.
back in april when the demo released they kept updating this one thing in the game and it was a hollow easter egg but i think the last one was a coordinates of a forest in canada
@@Irpy nah, she's a different character I'm pretty sure. Fom what little i remember of manly's playthroughs, The original va for Amanda (in cannon) was a child called Rebecca who was tricked into evoking demons by the company she worked with, and then murdered I think. Then her soul is put into the game. Her father Sam is killed too. I'm pretty sure it's not lauren
@@Irpy no amanda is the daughter of the creator Sam, the show was live action and then this company bought it and basically brainwashed his daughter, whos name is Rebecca

Actually, I'm pretty sure you have to say "Mutton" because mutton is lamb. I saw it when I watched MatPat's video, but it could possibly be both. I'm not sure
I'm not sure if anyone else noticed this but while watching the tape where Lauren goes missing they say her favorite ice cream is mint chocolate chip then when they from the camera Amanda says her favorite is mint chocolate chip so I think Amanda is Lauren
I watched both parts of matpats playthrough and tbh it's really cool that matpat played the game more "i will listen to amanda" because most people won't do that, so it shows you another side of the game. I mean, the endings are the same, but how they get there is just so different and it really makes sense to watch both seans playthrough and matpats.
okay but did you notice that when you were trying to figure out the lock, on the tape Wooly said “im allergic to apples”, and Amanda literally made an apple pie
8:48 Amanda: what do you like best in your neighborhood? Jack: I like the low crime rates Amanda. Amanda: That’s great, I love it when I have so many friends in my neighborhood…
Irl Rebecca's acting wasn't very good. The voice actress for cartoon Amanda is amazing! So expressive and emotional, especially the lines "Why can't I stop it?!" and "I'm out there...somewhere." But irl Rebecca is so monotone and stilted.
@@PeninsulaPaintings She was a lot younger when she was still human. Even those parts where she was on the headphones were extremely realistic. She's a young kid trying to read a script that doesn't make sense to her and then someone starts talking through the headset. I wasn't expecting anything grand, lol. She's a teenager stuck in Amanda's baby body by the time we're watching the recordings. They killed her once they got her voice, and them _other thangs,_ fully synced to the show.
I'm thinking she's like an amalgamation of a bunch of missing children's spirits or something Either that or children who were taken by the monster thingy
I also think she is an amalgamation of the missing children. Lauren's father says he has mint chocolate chip icecream, Lauren's favorite. Right after Lauren goes missing, "Amanda" says she loves mint chocolate chip. I think it shows that Lauren's soul was absorbed into Amanda.
I really wanted to see Sean’s reaction to bringing the bucket of water to Blabbot and not splashing him immediately. For context, he *begs for his life.*
AND he confesses his love for you, hence why he said something along the lines of "We were going to have an amazing life together" though I think Sean didnt hear that because when you splash blabbot while hes talking the audios mix together and he becomes incoherent.
I’m like 90% sure wooly is in the show to keep Amanda in check because they killed Amanda in real life so some phrases relate to her rotting or something like that
Some lines are “sometimes I feel like I’m rotting to” and for the good ending “I’m out there somewhere” relating to someone having to find her dead body

just realized hameln (the production company for amanda) is a pied piper reference, because the pied piper was from a town called hamelin. also the symbol for the company is a rat, and their motto is “follow us to fun”. and if you don’t remember the story of the pied piper, he got every child in the town to “follow him” to their deaths
A few things to note, two of which are hints: -Blabbot (pronounced Blab-bot) begs for his life when you approach him with the bucket of water -Amanda has a special reaction when she asks you what the daddy chicken is called, and you respond with the show's creator -What does a flower need to grow besides sunlight and soil? Two things, and all the clocks tell one of those things
When Amanda says, "I'm out there somewhere". I feel like she's crying out for help more than a threat. She seems like she doesn't wanna hurt anyone though.
I think the fact that you became one of the meats and all the others have eyes and seem to have emotions, coupled with the fact they don't want you to cut meats in the shop and get upset when buildings are destroyed (that all have eyes). I have a feeling the people that are vanishing are actually becoming all the things with eyes in the worlds.
Somehow, out of everything with her screaming and the meat shop stuff, the thing that gave me physical chills down my spine was when she turned to Wooly and was like "Wooly it's your birthday!' and it was totally normal 🥲
I just lost it laughing so hard when Sean made the stove catch on fire and then Amanda and Wooly are just screaming. The screams just got me and the animations too. The sarcasm from Amanda too made me laugh or those random anger burst Sean made her do from putting in wrong answers.
I always love your longer videos! You hinted at this towards the end of your video, but yes, there are additional secret tapes that provide some very interesting lore, and if you discover all of the secret tapes, you will actually get one last “secret” ending, which is being dubbed the “true ending” by some players who have completed it. If you’re ever interested in making a second part to this video where you try to find the secret tapes, here are some tips on finding a few of the others! - That orange looking “apple” as you called it throughout the video is actually a different fruit, and it’s more important than you think! When you have the opportunity to bake either the apple or meat pie, try making Wooly’s favorite pie instead! - That poor doll isn’t only there to be beheaded 🥴. Try giving her her favorite color flower at some point during your gameplay. - When you get to the “What’s a Family” episode again and reach the part where Amanda asks you what a daddy chicken is called, try putting in the first name of the show’s creator instead of rooster. You actually saw their name in your gameplay but the article fell onto the floor before you could finish reading. There’s more tips for getting additional secret tapes but I can’t recall the other ones! I hope these tips at least help you out some 🙂.

Is actually quite creepy cuz I'm watching gtlive play this exact game and it's kind of creepy because I was watching it and imma get the simplification
few things to clear up confusion about the lines Rebecca says during the purple tapes, the director is making her read the names of demons. Bye yell is Bael, pie man is paimon, and baa lamb is definitely Balam. Hamlen relates to the Pied Piper of Hamelin, he used a flute to hypnotize the children of a village to take them away from their homes. The cartoon is the “flute” to hypnotise the kids watching and make them run away from their homes and most likely kidnap them.
I love how when Amanda was genuinely confused it kinda seemed how she was questioning what she was doing and her actual personality was breaking through the possessed and lost little girl
Ads are so fun, One moment Amanda is having an existential crisis about not wanting to go to the butcher store and the next an add for burger king pops up
Ok here's my out there theory: Amanda is the daughter of the creator of the show. She was killed by her father and was hidden. Her soul was then trapped in the tape. Remember the other playthrough where Amanda asked us what tool we should use to dig up a body in the woods (there was an x marks the spot on the map and a mound of dirt)? In this video she says she feels herself rotting - was she talking about her own body in the forest? Plus she states that she's "out there". Also when at the farm, Amanda seemed to be upset when talking about the "daddy" chicken and just in general talking about a dad so maybe something happened with her dad. Maybe she takes other children because genuinely thinks that the children watching are her friends. I don't think Amanda is inherently evil. I'm not sure what's up with Wooly EDIT: Yo guys - look I know I'm already wrong cause of the new video drop but can ya be a lil nice? It was just a theory for fun
Another detail you may enjoy: You can actually type “Sam” (the dad’s name) when she asks what the rooster is called. It really shocks her and confuses her to how you would know that. The barn gives you a thousand yard stare as well.
As someone who watch Jacks original play through of Detroit become human and it has re-watch it again this year seeing this comment almost makes me shiver because it is so odd seeing something relating to Detroit become human
So is Amanda like a kid that was trapped in a tv show by a demon and is used as a front for the demon to lure in new souls to make their world more exciting and expansive to lure in more children. That would explain why most of the props like the stores and shelves have eyes. They’re trapped souls used to entertain kids to be trapped along side them.
Once upon a time, there was a young woman named Sarah who lived in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood in the suburbs. She had been living there for many years and had come to love everything about it. One day, Sarah's friend Amanda came to visit her and asked her, "What do you like best about your neighborhood?" Sarah thought for a moment and then replied, "Uhhh. The low crime rates, Amanda." Amanda chuckled and said, "That's great!" Sarah started to tear up, and Amanda asked her if everything was okay. Sarah explained that she grew up in a high-crime neighborhood and had always felt unsafe. Moving to this peaceful neighborhood had been a dream come true for her, and she was grateful every day for the safety and security it provided. As Sarah and Amanda walked around the neighborhood, Sarah pointed out some of the other things she loved about it, like the friendly neighbors, the beautiful parks, and the nearby shops and restaurants. Amanda could see why Sarah loved her neighborhood so much, and she felt grateful to have been able to experience it with her. From that day on, Amanda always appreciated the low crime rates of her own neighborhood, and she made an effort to get to know her neighbors better. In the end, Sarah's love for her neighborhood had inspired her friend to appreciate the good things in her own community. They both realized that no matter where you live, there is always something to be grateful for.

@@justincruz5720 you’re very right. It’s a great switch. But then it wasn’t explored anymore. Unless I’m missing something. If this game isn’t begging for a sequel, I don’t know what is.

yes! Hameln is a german city that had a rat problem and the rat catcher was hired to drive out all the rats. Unfortunatley his music also made all the children follow him
@@lucylikeswhales actually, the rat catcher asked for payment, specifically a gold coin for each rat. I'm not sure if her actress changed, so reslly missed her first ever vocal performance, but both her and Woolie's are absolutely amazing actors. Like the delivery of the emotional bits for Amanda was genuine and the uncertainty on Woolie was utterly multi-dimensional. Idk. It's just really impressive since it's one of the most professional I've heard in indie horror and analog horror.
I actually love how Amanda seems like she's suffering just as much as Wooly is. Also holy FUCK those live-action sequences. Really proud of the devs for pulling this off, this is CHILLING.

Just off putting. 24:02 (mild) low poly 3d dead fox, screen distorts to red as Amanda talks about it. 26:00 (moderate) Amanda enters the room as the lights go out. At 26:09 she rushes towards the camera and kills the player. - There's some moments after that where Amanda starts getting annoyed / glitchy video etc, but nothing becomes a sudden spook. 37:08 (mild) until about here maybe. Amanda says "let me out of here!" In a really harsh and glitchy way suddenly. 37:50 (mild) on the yellow live action tape, when it lands into focus, there's a super creepy doll sitting to the left of the kid. There's no jumpscares on this tape though. 39:12 (mild) when jack reads "YOU TOOK ME" he also adds some crackly loud editing. 43:23 (moderate) "A pig says -" and it cuts to a red distorted image of a real pigs head, and a glitchy screeching noise. 46:07 (mild) the dial on the toy stops spinning and the entire front of the toy pops off and falls to floor, revealing a tape inside. No jump scare. 57:33 (moderate) there's a single frame when wooly says "can't" where Amanda is standing behind him, elongated limbs and no eyes. 58:22 (mild) god her eyes are creepy. Then scene jumps to dark surgical room, poor wooly. The scene devolves into Amanda going full crazy surgeon, holding a bone saw to woolys throat. But it cuts before you see anything explicitly graphic. - the following few minutes have creepy stuff here and there but it's nothing startling. Just good atmosphere building. 1:05:52 (mild) static jump cut. And again at 1:05:59. 1:07:01 (MAJOR) "I'm out there... Somewhere." Then the tv switches off. And at this timestamp, screen turns red and Amanda's cursed face is seen with a loud scream, pushing the player backwards in shock. First major jumpscare, but the last spooky bit in the game.
I thought that this was a pretty cool game. I think it’s really interesting that we learn essentially nothing about what is really going on. We don’t actually know what happened to Kate, if Wooly knows more then he’s letting on, and what Amanda actually is. Like how does she tie into the missing children.
If you keep moving towards Blabbot with the water bucket enough times, he actually makes a love confession to you. “Wait, I love you! There, I said it!” It’s honestly really sad to pour water on him after that
Please continue, there's still things to do. To give a little bit on what's going on, I'll try to throw out some findings, my own understanding and attempt to keep it vague enough that it doesn't spoil anything. But, just in case. SPOILERS AHEAD Spoilers: Here's what me & some others have gathered. We are the nephew of Katherine Park, a librarian that investigated children disappearances on her own. Sounds like it's happening quite a bit, so she sent us the letter at the start. She might have become a victim of the tapes or maybe she gave up. Wanting us to stay away. The tapes themselves were produced by a company known as "Hameln" which is referencing the Pied Piper of Hameln. Lots of themes with rats & rodents, like the rat monster with dozens of eyes we constantly see. Even Amanda's hair feels like a reference to rats & mice. Continuing with the Pied Piper, the story goes that the town of Hameln was plagued by rats and a man, the Pied Piper, offered his services to get rid of them. The Pied Piper took care of the rat issue but the townsfolk refused to pay him, so as revenge he enchanted the kids and lured them all away. In the notes, there are mentions of kids appearing as if in a trance when watching Amanda. Maybe the Rat Monster wants revenge for some wrong that was done to it. Next, we can assume Wooly is an unwilling participant in this. There's a bit of confusion on who Wooly is, as far as I've seen; it's just loose guesses (I don't think we have enough pieces to figure that puzzle out yet) However, while he's scared, he does seem to care about us the viewer AND Amanda. Amanda is puzzling because some instances she's obviously the antagonist, the one in control. Then we have some scenarios, like 50:53 saying "0 Escape" or "Can't Stop" I think that's Amanda saying she can't stop. 54:00 she says she "doesn't want to play anymore." 33:29 "something bad happened" & "I don't think we want this" Sounds like there might be 2 Amandas'? or maybe 2 entities in one body? One loves to cause pain & misery, which is the Big Rat creature (Connecting Amanda's hair to being Mouse Ears). The other is tired and scared, which is the Amanda that's actually just some kid. Trapped. The "I don't think we want this" is Amanda telling the Rat, she & wooly don't want this to happen anymore. I'm not sure what to make of Blabbot. Maybe another victim of Amanda's Adventure, maybe some kind of tool someone made to help us. Personally: I'd like to think Blabbot might be some kind of Guardian Angel type of deal. It knows SO much, where to find things and gives little nudges in certain directions but makes it just vague enough. The birthday video tape & the birthday cake might suggest that Amanda targets people who's having birthdays. But I don't know why or how this has anything to do with the Rat Monster. Next: The eyes. In the ending where we end up in the Butchers' shop, we can look around and see we're beside several other slabs of hanging meat. If I had to guess, that might mean everything with those cartoon eyes is a victim. Someone who got caught by the Rat Monster. "I have no mouth & I must scream" kind of deal. Some other notes: the notes in the music spell 'facade' the symbols at 27:29 represent different Roman Gods. Mercury, Venus, Mars, etc. These are also used in Alchemy. There's some other lore stuff if you go deeper and find more tapes.
Great theories and spot on! I think the red barn at the petting zoo Sean noticed that was breathing super heavy and has bloodshot eyes MIGHT be her father Sam? I think he got sucked into the game and the article on the board that Sean didn’t read talks about his disappearance.
Do you know if it matters who we choose to help, wooly or Amanda? Cus she looks disappointed when Jack didn’t pick her. I also thought she related a lot to the cat so when jack said he would help the cat get back or find it’s family, she thought the player would also help her.
@@julietastro5408 I think it does matter. Whatever choice we make either provides with some snippet of lore, speculation or we get codes, keys and even the sequence of actions. Slow process, but we do learn bit by bit. As for Amanda, I believe that's still a kid who's trapped in the tapes. Forced to share some kind of body with the Demon Rat. (even if it's not a physical body, it seems like the VHS world still has "physical" body's in some twisted way. Hence the eyes on various objects, which I think are other trapped people.) Her breaking down when asking to help the cat, thinking that maybe the player could also help her. If the player can help a cat, it'd make sense Amanda would cry out for any semblance of kindness.
Idk about dat boy Wooly. He acts scared when she gets mad, but when she gets sad and confused, he keeps her from trying to figure out what's really wrong.
I feel like Wooly was brought into the screen with her, knows that neither of them can escape, and he knows that her emotions control their reality, so he manipulates her to keep their environment safe, since he knows he can't get either of them out of it. He tried to keep her from spiraling and focusing on the negative because it makes things worse.
I love how this final version of Amanda isnt some one dimensional evil. She almost feels like a.. a lost child. It's so haunting. The devs improved a lot!

The fact that Amanda said sometimes she feels like she’s rotting but it’s far away makes me feel like Amanda isn’t a demon. @@acetaminophenus maybe she is one of the missing children

Kinda like fnaf strangely enough…
But take this a grain of salt. This is purely my observations, so no hard evidence. Nor will it be completely factually based (I can’t be completely unbiased, sorry).

But those other times?
the butcher frame is at 11:01 :)
Honestly the vibe I was getting was that Wooly is more a part of the game then Amanda is, like some sort of entity placed there to keep her on the right track, but Amanda is more "in charge" in a way. So he's genuinely scared of her, but still has to do his job and keep her from uncovering some kind of truth or something
Or, alternatively, both Amanda and Wooly are children who got somehow trapped inside the tapes, but Wooly for some reason has more knowledge of what exactly is going on and has sort of resigned himself to his fate and knows it's easier to just not try to fight it, but Amanda keeps searching for answers and a way out and he's trying to gently redirect her away from doing that
But I'm probably wrong, all I've seen of the game is this video, so there's probably some bits and pieces of lore I'm unaware of. But from what I've gathered so far, the company making this show seems to be the real villain, and Amanda and Wooly are both victims in a way

You have to reply “nobody” instead of “doctor”.
Maybe trying "Lauren" when Amanda asks for her friend's name? (haven't played, just a guess)
@Sarah F it only goes for 4 letters, though that would be a good guess
@@KornKonnesuer yeah, even if you did it when youre supposed to type in "wooly" it wouldn't work. i wonder if the little boy that went missing would fit, forgot his name
@@nyct0phile I think it does fit
Watching Sean read "Aunt Kate" in the beginning, only to forget that the name Kate is part of the storyline throughout the rest of the gameplay, is a hilarious sideplot to all this.😂
i didnt even realize that
he also immediately after refers to her as grandma or granny, definitely not Aunt lmao
That actually makes a lot of sense, the lore thickens with every comment!
@@noobsworth_RBLX But why would Amanda refer to her Aunt as 'friend'? Also, if Aunt Kate's letter basically says she will die, or is dying, then why would you buy a gift & mail it to her if she's dead?
@@koolaid33 Aunt Kate isn't Amanda's aunt she's the player character Riley's aunt
it's likely that Kate knew whoever Amanda was before she was trapped in the tapes, and Amanda considered her a friend

I read this and now I'm uncomfy
He didn’t get that secret tape, so you’re spoiling things for people who haven’t watched other play throughs.
Wow, i feel like blabbot after reading that.

THANK YOUUUUU I WAS GONNA SAY THIS
Bro, you just gave me the whole lore, and I hella appreciate it. Tysm!
I'm not sure what's up with Wooly
EDIT: Yo guys - look I know I'm already wrong cause of the new video drop but can ya be a lil nice? It was just a theory for fun
In the theory of her taking kids, wooly could be one of them? Maybe Jordan?
hello matpat, how are you today?
Another detail you may enjoy: You can actually type “Sam” (the dad’s name) when she asks what the rooster is called. It really shocks her and confuses her to how you would know that. The barn gives you a thousand yard stare as well.
But is says that Sam went missing and Rebecca (Amanda’s actor) is his daughter
Also Her dad is the creator

So is Amanda like a kid that was trapped in a tv show by a demon and is used as a front for the demon to lure in new souls to make their world more exciting and expansive to lure in more children. That would explain why most of the props like the stores and shelves have eyes. They’re trapped souls used to entertain kids to be trapped along side them.

"What do you like best about your neighborhood"

I'm crying 😂😂😂
Once upon a time, there was a young woman named Sarah who lived in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood in the suburbs. She had been living there for many years and had come to love everything about it.
One day, Sarah's friend Amanda came to visit her and asked her, "What do you like best about your neighborhood?"
Sarah thought for a moment and then replied, "Uhhh. The low crime rates, Amanda."
Amanda chuckled and said, "That's great!"
Sarah started to tear up, and Amanda asked her if everything was okay.

I find it nice how wooly is still so nice to her beside what she’s done to him. Unless he’s being forced to act like that, which he probably is
Eh, it struck me as being pretty strange that once she started to show some confusion and sadness, he was quick to jump in to keep the plot rolling. It was almost a complete role reversal.
@@Makawav I think the dynamic flip made the relationship between her and Wooly a bit more interesting. It gave Amanda another side.
@@justincruz5720 you’re very right. It’s a great switch. But then it wasn’t explored anymore. Unless I’m missing something. If this game isn’t begging for a sequel, I don’t know what is.

The production company being named Hamelin was a cool detail! I literally just read about the Pied Piper of Hamelin that lead all the children away
I was about to comment on that! Glad someone else noticed
yes! Hameln is a german city that had a rat problem and the rat catcher was hired to drive out all the rats. Unfortunatley his music also made all the children follow him
@@lucylikeswhales actually, the rat catcher asked for payment, specifically a gold coin for each rat. Obviously this was way too high of a price for the town to afford but the mayor thought he could be cheeky and accept the terms but deny payment after. Needless to say, the Piper didn’t like that and played an even more alluring tune to take the children of the town in revenge.

I'm not sure if her actress changed, so reslly missed her first ever vocal performance, but both her and Woolie's are absolutely amazing actors. I actually love how Amanda seems like she's suffering just as much as Wooly is. Also holy FUCK those live-action sequences. Really proud of the devs for pulling this off, this is CHILLING.
Spooky time stamps:
3:44 (mild) walks up to a really creepy doll.
11:00 (mild) tv glitches a bit more severely
12:55 (mild) he looks at the doll again. It's still creepy.
14:55 (mild) creaking swing sound, then Amanda flips to hyper aggressive TV glitch ranting.
23:02 (mild) gross image of a rotting sandwich. It's not exactly spooky.
It's a little unexpected and startles jack.
47:57 (moderate) there's no jumpscare. But after Jack says "yes", Amanda stares at you, and the screen gets a little glitchy. But it's incredibly unsettling as she stares for what feels like forever. Then the tape ends.
48:42 (mild) some of the picnic items are replaced by pulsating organs.
48:55 (moderate) the doll let's out a horrifying scream as it's head is cut off.
52:17 (mild) the tv static jump cut startled me.
56:18 (mild) and again
56:57 (moderate) puts candle on cake. It slowly deflates as a deep, disembodied voice songe happy birthday and melts lower and lower in tone.

SPOILERS AHEAD
Spoilers:
Here's what me & some others have gathered.
54:00 she says she "doesn't want to play anymore." 33:29 "something bad happened" & "I don't think we want this"
Sounds like there might be 2 Amandas'? or maybe 2 entities in one body?
Some other notes:
the notes in the music spell 'facade'
the symbols at 27:29 represent different Roman Gods.
I think he got sucked into the game and the article on the board that Sean didn’t read talks about his disappearance.
underrated comment, omg, I never noticed these things, but ur completely right it does add up
Do you know if it matters who we choose to help, wooly or Amanda?
Hence the eyes on various objects, which I think are other trapped people.)
Her breaking down when asking to help the cat, thinking that maybe the player could also help her. If the player can help a cat, it'd make sense Amanda would cry out for any semblance of kindness.
wasn't amanda kidnapped on her birthday ,so she targets birthday people
