In today's video I'm trying to animate with my phone! I'm using the android Ibispaint app to draw and animate Neuvillette and the otter from Genshin Impact! After watching Ibispaint animation update where the artist was drawing and animating with phone, I thought it would be a fun thing to do! It was honestly challenging to animate with phone, but it was fun regardless!

As a person who draw with my phone, I can tell you compare to drawing on my laptop with that drawing tablet plug in is a completely different thing.
On my laptop, there’s no need to zoom in so much, but in my phone, I zoom in and out all the time (although good artists tell me don’t zoom in >_> but just as she mentioned. Try drawing lineart without zooming in)

Relaxing while watching your videos is the best activity
In animating, parts that don't move. I will put it on one singular layer.
The other parts move I will animate in other layers. Just make sure all the layers don't go over the lines when playing.

Coloring is very hard for me, so i only specialize in lineart. I use a touchpen on my phone, because hell no i cant use my fingers to draw. Knowing that youre drawing this with your finger, it looks great imo. Much love
I hope you know you can just duplicate the frame, it will retain the folders structure 😂
Might be hard since u cannot see the onion skin, and the blur because of the liquify and all other transform tool, but u can do it rigging style, if theres not much movement

hello I am your new sub I just wanted to say is you changed the way how I added highlights to my ocs hair a it changed a lot ty too much for helping me with my digital art I used to think it was trash but now not ty really
the more of the frames you have to work with slower you want the frames to be. if it gets in range of just 5- 20 then just keep it 8 to 12 frames second.
you want to see you're frames not hide them in blink of a eye.
dont go for really detail characters with a lot of junk on them "you will die " trying repeatably animate them or simplify them as much as you possibly can, ignore shading, ignore lighting even colors until you got all the frames done. since ibispaint dosent copy the layers for each frame so you have to run all the way back to the first frame just get some color "cough flipaclip dosent have this problem but its lot worse when it comes to bucket tool"( which can fixed by simply duplicating the layer which makes the lines close in the gap this works with any program, just fill in on bottom layer.)
the actual smoothness comes from how you extend your frames. for example
3s
one drawing takes up 3 frames for certain motions. least inbetweens
2s
one drawing takes up 2 frame for certain motions , they have lot more inbetweens
1s is the insane person whose drawing motion frame by frame, inbetween optional but your going to be making frames like a mad man.
so its duplicates

Soo fung maybe you didnt know but actually putting it on 30fps will make you suffer,i basically recommand you to put it in 15-20fps.Second,its impossible to animate with rendering or semi realism(at least LONG animations)....I would recommand you to simplify your art style and start doing lineart !

how do you choose the frames per second?
It appears right when you start the animation, when u click the ▶️ button, it will randomly pop up and ask u to choose the FPS

How many frames did you use? If it's only a small amount of frames, it's going to be fast.
