Marcus, good to see you back. It is always a pleasure. You had some real serendipity with sensor cleaning. All that does is hold the shutter open so that you can blow dust off the sensor or clean it with swabs or a gel stick as they do at the factory. Anyway, it is back to its old self and that is what you wanted. Cheers.
Greetings from Mexico City! ( hopefully you’ll be back soon) Keep up the videos, Love the way you are able to accentuate those Leica colors. Great photos as always.
Love this video and the photos Marcus. Had the pleasure of making it out to Peru in 2019 and was reminded of how special it was in your images. Wish I shot way more while I was there… cheers!
Love the colors- did you use own presets in post or how do you achieve consistency / similar look across both cameras? Also what focal lengths did you use ? Thx
I wanted to suggest the sensor clean for the M8 watching you sweat on the previous vids : D I didn't know this either, but recently watched other videos mentioning the banding was simply due to dust spots in the sensor, rather than dead pixels (dead pixels seem to produce the same issue, but they can be remapped by leica when servicing the camera). Glad you got that sorted, awesome vids and photos!
Great video as always. Glad it worked but all that option does is open the shutter for you to get access to the sensor this is not what you would call a modern sensor clean option where it discharges or moves the sensor to remove dust. Think this needs to be made clear if anyone is hopping this will work for them but doesn’t.
I will be bringing my M8.2 to Lima in September for a land tour of Peru. Thanks for the interesting video.
Its a good day when Marcus Lloyd uploads enjoyed the video like always, keep inspiring sir!
I second this!
I appreciate that bro!
Lima looks like a pretty nice place to visit. Think we might try it. I am already thinking about which camera to bring. Nice video, as usual.

The shots of the bougainvilleas were beautiful. I always try to snap photos of them wherever I am, remind me of my mom 🥰

Peru had me rethinking my favorite cuisine. It's an even pull between Japanese and Peruvian these days. Great shots as usual, bro
The cuisine shouldn’t be slept on
I thought the M8 sensor cleaning is just opening the shutter to manual clean. I Just purchased the M8. Love all your videos!
Yea i think your right. I was hoping i fixed my issue but i didnt
@@MarcusLloyd i purchased a M8 mint condition only 1000 shutter actuations. $1850. Super stoked.

Love your work - and want your travel life!! 😂❤
Thanks Daniel!
Nice shots! How do you decide which camera to press into service for a shot?
If it’s bright and sunny then the m8. M10 for everything else
Love the colors- did you use own presets in post or how do you achieve consistency / similar look across both cameras? Also what focal lengths did you use ? Thx
Yea i edit with my own preset as a base and tweak from there. I typically shoot 35mm or 28mm
Do you have links for the background music?
Yea I will add them but it’s red licorice
@@MarcusLloyd thanks for sharing 🙏🏾
