For what it’s worth, I liked the approach you took for this video. I enjoy the whole story of the day’s hunt. I’m sure it’s a lot more work for you to produce so thank you. Love your content!
Great video! As a fellow CGA member I would try and give a denial to Cora if she breaks. You have the E-collar so you can use that if you need to reinforce the recall. I know if I don't let my pup get the retrieve if they break it doesn't happen again👍👍
teal opener for colorado was Saturday 5 guys we met up with were limited out by 9am my dad and I were 2 shy by 10:30am we saw even more get dropped by others that were hunting on the ponds near by. best teal hunt ive had in a while
You ain't kidding about low numbers of teal in Illinois. I live in Southern IL and opening day was almost 2 weeks and I couldn’t go because of work (always sucks) but it probably wouldn’t have been worth it because there is almost no birds especially on the public land I hunt. I will be heading down to Kentucky this weekend for the early teal and wood duck opener, hopefully I'll have better luck there.
Central IL here, and yeah I didn't get to go out opening day either....THose that did, reported decent - good hunts....2nd day was a wash for most it seemed....We are dry as a pop corn fart in our duck hunting areas. Hoping big ducks get better!
Also something that's a little bit cheaper than cute decoys is running black Silhouettes they make a big difference in the mud flats out where I live I hunt a lot of the GSL in Utah
I think the teal just haven’t pushed down yet, opener is saturday here in ND and I’ve got a metric ton of teal and shovelers. Haven’t had a day under 80 degrees yet
Love what you are doing here. Just getting into the duck hunting. I have a pudelpointer who loves to point and retrieve. I do not see coots where I am in the Adirondacks, will coot decoys still help bring in other ducks? Thanks for all you do here.
Last year I did exactly what you did. And I also could have gotten a seagull limit. Oh also, I realized that hunting out of a layout blind or a layout boat was difficult. The optical illusion messed me up, how do you recommend not having a problem with that?
I would love to see a comparison of the EBADS vs refuge runner. I’ve been watching your transitions through the boats over the years. Seems like the refuge runner was all-time best. Just curious why EBADS over it. Maybe more room? It just doesn’t seem as sleek. Also. I know you have tried everything with kora. I think it’s great she has you. Others would have passed her along to someone else by now. I do wonder if you exercise her the night before if it would be less. She is such a high drive dog. Maybe a good 2 mile run the night prior on a treadmill might help. It does with mine. She’s a great dog though. Keep the vids coming man!
@@OutdoorLimits oh. So EBADS is probably more stable. Flatter bottom. Now that you have run both what’s your opinion on which one for one Hunter and a dog? Similar style of what you hunt.
Both are great. Ebads will go shallower and faster though. Seems like there is a bit more storage in the ebads because of the height. I like both, but I think I like the ebads more but it could change with time
Is Kora the runt of her litter? My pup Kobe looks just like her and super super small! I really like the size of her so hopefully Kobe will stay her size!
I don't understand how you guys are duck hunting over a month before the northeast's opening "two week" season then off two weeks until mid January, and I'm not hearing it about migration BS
One of the best intros I’ve seen on this channel man! Been here for about 5 years btw.
Wow, thanks!

im in southern indiana our numbers are usually low so we had a pretty normal year.
It was a great teal season in MN!

Just know if kora is acting like that she’s fired up and ready to go just like you are she’s excited for the hunt and ready to help dad 🤟🏻

What did you use to cover boat and motor.?
Last year I did exactly what you did. And I also could have gotten a seagull limit. Oh also, I realized that hunting out of a layout blind or a layout boat was difficult. The optical illusion messed me up, how do you recommend not having a problem with that?
Not enough water here in MO for them to want to stick around. Been that way for 4 years now lol
Never been in boat duck hunting with lab that everything and everybody not covered in mud and water it's the greatest thing in the world
Yes it is! It's been so long since we've done it that I forgot to direct her back to her spot
Is that a Carol joy holling camp cup at 00:47 👀
Yes. Carol Joy is the place that I'm from
@@OutdoorLimits I knew you had some Nebraska roots but never knew where. My buddy and his wife run a lot of the camp now
Cora's a good looking pup
Take away the mind melting whining and the breaking and she would be a good pup as well!

Two different hull styles. That is the biggest difference

Well ive been limiting in fairbanks so they are headed your way (limit is 10 DUCKS per person)
Is Kora the runt of her litter? My pup Kobe looks just like her and super super small! I really like the size of her so hopefully Kobe will stay her size!
The runt doesn’t necessarily stay small. Once you get them home and they eat properly they can get just as big if not bigger than their siblings.
Nice hunt, nice video! but that poptart make you miss the shooting moment XD
Not my best performance, but not my worst!
Didn't get skunked baby!
What kind of trailer are you using for your lay out boat?
Jet ski trailer
The grass on the motor what do you use?
FA Whoopgrass
rogerssportinggoods.com/final-approach-whoopgrass/?ref=OUTDOORLIMITS
Watching you pull that trailer to the hitch made my back hurt. You only get one spine bro, get some help or find a way to do that more efficiently?
What the name of the boat
four rivers ebads
Nothing for teal in Colorado worst year in a while

2 week teal season in September
Gotta get the dog to stop cryin 🙄 …. Whole intro skipped
