hey man, love the videos. i sometimes get scared to take my boy out but i remember that he is a retrieving working dog built for the harshest conditions, unless it’s in the negatives he goes with me. he wont sit in front of the heater after retrieving in the single digits, absolutely refuses to and will go hop in his blind and wait for the next group. you only have so many hunts with them, hunt her while you can. just make sure you have warmth fr her if she gets in a bad spot.
That's how I feel about it. When it gets below 40 my boy Levi where's a Neosporin and since I live in Georgia, lol. We don't see single digits but we do see teens!
I bought a 2272 SeaArk last year just open floor plan with tiller handle in case I ever wanted to put a blind on it. Definitely my dreamboat they are built like tanks. Amazing how good they run and handle for big boats too
Crazy, I hunt a reservoir in MO that’s not all that far from KS as the crow flies. Bigger than any of them in Eastern Kansas. But it just did not hold birds this year, guess I know where they all went to lol. Great hunt!
When I was using a boat blind a lot in December in freezing temps I always tried to keep that lower unit submerged in the water when parked. Water is warmer then the air. Nice hunt. Curious when you'll outfit the boat with a blind.
Something we "always" do before a hunt is to take the 10 minutes or so it takes to break the action apart, wipe the bolt and interior housing and apply a very light amount of a product called "BREAK FREE". We all shoot SBE's, never ever have cycling issues no matter the weather. Also works wonders on O/U ejectors. Very best of wishes for you and your wife and a healthy baby! Spend so much time traveling, setting of and maintaining other equipment it makes absolutely no sense not to maintain your firearms action. Warmest of wishes, stay safe out there.
Pull your recoil spring out and clean it. It’s likely dirty and/or rusty. When that happens they slow way down. My M2 20 gauge was really slow a couple weeks ago. It was still cycle but the action was super sluggish. My recoil spring was orange from rust. Same thing with my buddies Beretta a300.
I have the same gun in both 20 and 12, and ever since I've been running them dry I have had no issues. Spray the receiver and bolt down with non chlorinated brake cleaner and thats it. At the end of the season give her some oil to store it.
Good hunt. Did you run paracord all the back to your blind for the jerk rig and pull it with your boot? Also, why a 20 gauge vs 12? I'm learning! Thanks
Back in the day I used a dry lube called truflan it was a Good lube. It came off during cleaning very well. And allowed me to use oils where It needed wet. And dry where it was needed.
Get you a Wolff extra power recoil spring. You won’t have those cycling issues. They don’t like low brass/light loads but you’ll never hang up duck hunting again.
ALWAYS take a fishing pole with some trebble hooks and a weight and snag your ducks. It's much easier and quicker. Just run it across the top of the water and set the hook.
Are you the only person who hunts in your state? We have so many boats in the water, you could walk across the lake or river without touching water. Enjoy your private hunting grounds. lol
good stuff! I could not tolerate that gun that won't cycle(maybe take an 870 as a back up)! Have you tried shooting that gun with no front bead? You might find that you shoot better with out it!
You picked a lot better spot to hunt yes motion does draw the ducks. Glad you had a great hunt next little add is a shell bag in yours and my case two 20 ga n 12 ga. Put a lube in the bag Frog gun lube waxy oil impregnated worked for me nothing like first duck and all you get is snap. But I clean and lube mine the night before the hunt every hunt helps to not have those problems in the blind!!!
Have a great Christmas everybody!
You to🎉!!!!!
You as well, hope you and the family stay healthy and safe!
Same to you🎉
You to
You to man. Love the vids keep up the great work
Cheap fishing rod setup with a heavy top water so you can launch it out there to retrieve your ducks.
Happy holidays Josh!
Love your solo hunts and your dialogue on what’s you are doing. Good luck on your new baby.

Congratulations on the baby! Merry Christmas!

It’s nice when it all comes together, dang nice hunt, & congratulations on your way to becoming a father
That panel blind goes hard
Carry spinning rod and reel with top water plug to retrieve ducks without dog.
this is smart
Been doing that this year and it’s been so clutch…retrieving birds and dialing in my casting at the same time
It's never too cold to bring your dog. Labs built for that type of weather
Was that the reason the dog didn't go?
@cashearnest5618 yes
@Tyler-dt8cg I see. Yes, a lab would be fine. People think dogs are like humans a lot.
Tree stand clip had me laughing man😂 awesome video🤝
When you put the clip of you falling out of the tree stand I died laughing 😂

Fishing pole with a weight and treble hook makes for a good tool to retrieve birds off deeper water. Cheers!
Sweet hunt, congratulations. Have a Merry Christmas to you and your family 🎄🎅

My sx4 does same if ever drop in water...which i did

It's awesome having a "setup" everything stays together, so ya stay ready. Just head to the X and go hunt!
Use G96 gun oil and keep it lubed. No more issues.
Like I mentioned in your last video... I have same exact gun. Replace the recoil spring
I heard Wolf Springs very well. They make a recoil spring and a trigger group spring. From what i heard, it produces excellent results.
The Muller choke is awesome 👌🏽
Gotta love it. Limit of ducks decoying with no weather. I get no ducks if no weather lol.
I wish duck hunting was still open in Wisconsin I’d love to hunt on Christmas Eve
Great hunt!
Good hunt. Did you run paracord all the back to your blind for the jerk rig and pull it with your boot? Also, why a 20 gauge vs 12? I'm learning! Thanks
We are in the same exact boat lmao.. my girl is about to give birth to our first baby/ son on the 14th congratulations to you man

Outstanding day! Merry Christmas!

Where are you guys huntin? All froze up here where I am in Ontario. Merry Christmas.

I use a jerk rig every hunt - from big, open lakes to flooded timber!! Never hunt without it
So much for the kayaks.
Love that hoodie, what brand is that looks really warm
Are you the only person who hunts in your state? We have so many boats in the water, you could walk across the lake or river without touching water. Enjoy your private hunting grounds. lol
Awesomeness!
Kora is the bomb!
If you have an m2 try and order a wolf recoil spring.
My wife would not let me hunt when she was a month from her due date. I hunted 1.5 hrs away with no service… congrats and good luck, kids are fun lol
good stuff! I could not tolerate that gun that won't cycle(maybe take an 870 as a back up)! Have you tried shooting that gun with no front bead? You might find that you shoot better with out it!
Hey man what kind of decoys do you use??? Love the vids keep it up 🙏
How far are you traveling to get to the birds right now
"Been there done that". 😅😂
@outdoorlimits Do you still use/recommend tetra hearing protection?
Less than 15 mph wind I put the jerk rig out. Better to have and not need than miss opportunities.

I run dry garfite on my semi autos in cold weather never have problems.
What shells are you running in the 20?
Do they make 3 inch nitro steels?
Why did you buy the Protege model boat?
You should use your spinning rod to retrieve your ducks. Just a idea
What panel blind is that!?
U really should get a fluke anchor it will help alot
Why did you switch to a 20 ga and are you seeing better results?
Where do you live? lol Kansas?
I have seen other dry lube turn into glue in cold weather!
What kind of panel blind is that bub?
$60.000 boat 🤯 And I who thought boats like that were expensive here in Norway..
We all needed to see a good hunt. Arkansas sucks right now.
Didn't we just see 2 rods in your boat???😂
congrats
What state do you hunt
Just because a boats camo doesn’t make it a duck boat. Merry Christmas
Dude I've never had my remington not cycle cause it was cold outside....
6:57 😂😂😂😂
I would like to hunt with yall one day
Why are you showing up so late?
wow, this video was actually watchable because of no whining dog the entire video!!!!!
TT (get over it)
You’re videos have decreased unfollowing
