If ya don’t wanna hear them that’s 100% okay, if ya do, it’s nothing mean just some friendly rules reminders. Ian, your attack bonus to hit with your spells like Shocking Grasp or a Scorching Ray for example is your proficiency bonus plus your Intelligence modifier. You shouldn’t have a +0 to hit with your cantrip. On that note you did well with ensnaring strike because it relies on your strength to hit with the staff itself, cause the spell will take affect on a hit. You should be able to add your proficiency to your attack bonus to hit with your quarterstaff. Then again idk how low/high your strength is, Serge, Guidance is a wonderful spell, it’s a personal favorite of mine, but it only works for skill checks, it sadly can’t help boost attack rolls. There is a spell called Bless that I believe Druids can access? If not there are ways to get it. The spell works like guidance, giving 1d4 to 3 creatures of your choice (could also include yourself) that can be added to future rolls, (attacks rolls and saving throws!), but the best part is that it doesn’t go away after one use! And as a note, you totally can cast other spells while concentrating on another spell, just not another concentration spell.
That eternal struggle. You don't want to suggest that things are bad, because they aren't, but at the same time, the inner rules lawyer has filed paperwork in your brain, and you can only ignore the summons for so long...
Thank you for putting it so gently, I've been struggling on how to comment rules stuff for Dice Friends, not because it is getting in the way of my enjoyment but because I believe this is a great introduction to D&D so a little tighter rules would be good for that : )
Rafael Brandão I saw other people throughout the years just blatantly saying “here’s a mistake ya made”, and that just wasn’t very nice. These people are having fun, D&D is supposed to be fun, and saying it like that is just mean. If we can give them some friendly advice; remind them of an attack bonus, how a spell works, etc., and say it in a way that makes it feel alright that it happened, then that makes me happy.
So we learned that Nog likes to inspire revolutionary attempts and be a bad influence. Maybe there ist no Dimir member in the group, but somebody from Rakdos?

You can totally cast cantrips while concentrating. The only spells you can't cast while concentrating are other concentration spells
